After watching nd reading the recent Bleach episodes, manga chapters, and a fanfiction with battle between two powerfu characters from their respective series, I figured I'd make this thread. The purpose is simply to put a character from Bleach against one from Nanoha. Entire groups may be necessary.

To start with:

Jail Scaglietti

VS

Szayel Apporo Granz

Common Themes:
Mad Scientist
Sadistic
Has a personal set of subordinates and lab
Mutilated said subordinates for personal use
Can revive themselves with the use of another person

Take your shots.

As Szayel is an Arrancar, and Jail is a human, there is no possibly way for Jail to win. If we include their creations in this match-up....it highly depends. Can Jail's androids and other weapons hurt an Arrancar? IF so, Szayel MIGHT be in trouble if he doesn't have the time to analyse and set up counters to his opponents.

Szayel does have his Hierro, which is quite strong due to being at Espada-level, and Ressurecion abilities. All he needs is to contact Jail and/or his androids once and he can do a lot of damaging stuff to them: create copies, manipulate their organs, gain control of them, and resurrect himself through impregnation.

Why can't a human hurt an Arrancar? Hollows don't phase through things, hit him hard enough and he'll still go down, you'd just have to be hitting very dammed hard.

Well, first of all, Hollows are invisible to humans -- they are spiritual beings. But even if he hand wave that away, Szayel has his hierro and sonido -- and the very fact that he's an Espada means he's got Captain-class reiastsu. It's totally impossible for a baseline human under his own power to harm an Espada.

No, they are inviisble to beings that are not in possession of the ability to manipulate their spirit energy, Don Kanonji, Orihime, Chad, Tatsuki, etc can all see them, and at a high enough level Hollows themselves are visible to normal humans. And Jail is an artificial mage, not a normal human IIRC.
Though I don't think he's really displayed any ability to hurt someone like Szayel, who, not having very many speed feats does have some pretty hefty defense ones from power scaling.

Considering the Nanoha mages consider jumping to an alternate universe or placing everything in a several kilometer wide area into a pocket dimension a casual feat I don't think "exists as a spirit being" will protect Hollows from them.

Next battle

Signum

VS

Tia Halibel

Common:
Awesome female warrior and one of the best in her respective series.
Has a squad of female companions
Has an honorable and light-hearted nature, willing to kill if threatened.
Elemental powers that counter each other
Melee and Ranged abilities
"Upgraded" form

Personally, these two are also my favorite in their respective series.

I honestly forget what Signum's strengths were -- but Halibel is the N0. 3 Espada; unless Signum has some sort of super-speed feat, Halibel uses sonido to blind-side her and cleave her in two.

Signum is a close combat monster who outspeeds the other close combat monster in the series so much the other close combat monster had to create a special type of magic designed solely to go even faster at the expense of all defense to outspeed her.

So yeah, she has speed feats of comparable quality.

Eh? I'm pretty sure even in their first encounter Fate was capable of fighting Signum on more-or-less even footing speedwise, it's just that Signum was so much more powerful and more experienced that Fate couldn't actually beat her.

I'm fairly sure Bleach takes this on all accounts and match ups, do to the simple fact spiritual shit from Bleach is whole different animal than Nanoha type magic.

Seriously, have there been any feats or abilities in Nanoha that allow you to see the dead or shift between the world of the living and dead? Because for all there techno-magic abilities, no one in Nanoha that I know of has ever demonstrated anything resembling those feats.

Even if you hand-wave away the fact that Hollows are invisible to normal humans -- the powerlevel difference here seems exceptional. Not so much offensive power (although Halibel is clearly stronger there too), but speed and toughness are orders of magnitude above Nanoha levels in general.

Although we don't see Halibel do it, we assume she is able to spam ceros all day. I don't know if it would be fare to give her cero occulus because only Ulq showed that. Regardless, unless it can be shown Signum has speed somewhere around the level of an Espada (ie, disappears from sight, appears to teleport), then she gets speedblitzed like most other fictional characters do when they go up against high level Bleach.

Yes, they can do the move so fast the opponent can't see them and appear behind them to attack thing (and react to same). Also, they can take a lot of damage, In their first fight, Fate and Signum hit each other so hard that every window in the city shatters from the shockwave. And again, jumping into other realities and fighting opponents out of phase with reality is considered standard fare in the series.

As far as I know, only Fate has has demonstrated a flash-step technique a few times. Fate is the top speedster in Nanoha.

Yes, but Signum blocked her attack when she did it.

And when we see them fighting from a distance they both are pictured as streaks of light intercepting in explosions powerful enough to destroy anything nearby.
