The Warring States Period, a time notorious throughout the land as birthing nothing but strife, chaos, and suffering. A seemingly endless surge of battle and conflict tore the land asunder on a daily basis, but such was the life of the Shinobi. It was during these times that peace was nothing more than an idealistic dream thought up by innocent children…until two legendary shinobi rose to the top.

Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha, two warriors hailed as the strongest, led their respective clans into battle against each other on countless occasions, and it was these two men, seen as eternal rivals and enemies that took the first step towards a new era.

It was truly a dream come true. The Senju Clan and the Uchiha Clan…hand in hand. Peace was established between the two clans and the Hidden Leaf Village was founded. To the sound of nothing but cheer and praise, Hashirama Senju stood atop this miraculous event as the village's leader, the First Hokage.

Following in the footsteps of the Senju and the Uchiha, various clans from all over came together in alliance and settled together, leading to the growth and expansion of the Leaf and the establishment of other Hidden Villages throughout the land, it was a new beginning.

Within the Leaf Village, this new beginning came to form with the building and establishment of the Ninja Academy, a school for instructing and raising up the new generation of shinobi. Luckily, you found yourself among the first wave of fledgling shinobi to enter the Academy, and you could barely contain your excitement as all of your ninja training was about to be put to the test.

You are the bubbly martial arts fanatic of the Leaf Village, Uzume Kukishin, and you're about to graduate!

A giant smile stretched across your face as you pictured yourself in the Leaf Village headband.

"Killer Kunoichi, Uzume Kukishin! Yeah! Yeah! That has the perfect ring to it. How should I wear my headband? My waist? Neck? Maybe actually on my forehead? But that might get in the way of my hair. It already takes me forever to fit all of this in a ponytail…what would a headband do? Wait, would a headband even mess up my ponytail in the first place?! Ugh! Decisions!"

You couldn't keep your mind in one place. The idea of being a ninja was way too awesome for you to keep still! Your feet pranced around the floor, tapping a constant rhythm as you anxiously sat at your desk. Glancing around at the other students, you just couldn't believe your eyes. Every other student was just sitting still at their desks.

"Ugh! Even HIRUZEN's looking serious today. Guess I'll just be excited by myself!" You pout, crossing your arms in disappointment, "Okay, so Tobirama Sensei said that the final exam has two parts…We just did the written one, and while I'm sure that I did fine, solving word problems is nothing special. The practical exam is next. I'll go all out and show sensei how awesome I am with these fists! Aaaahhh! I can't wait much longer!"

As your excitement quickly rose a boil, the door to the classroom slid open and in filed a long line of ninja, all suited in black jumpsuits

"Eeeeeeeeee!" The smile on your face attempts to stretch even more as you gaze at the shinobi, enthralled by their appearance, "So cool…I want a jumpsuit! I wonder how I'd look in black?"

Leading the line was Tobirama Senju with a stack of papers by his side. During your time at the Academy, he served as one of your primary instructors, giving first-hand instruction on the workings of the village as he was directly involved in a lot of the decisions.

"It's time to begin the practical exam," Tobirama speaks as he moves to the center of the classroom. Although he didn't say much of anything, his words alone were enough to perk up the rest of students, "For this exam, you all will be participating in Traditional Shinobi Sparring matches..."

"Yeah! Yeah! I got this!"

"
Against me." He continues, the tense atmosphere of the room gaining an even tighter hold on everyone, except for you.

"PERFECT! It's fun going up against Hiruzen...and even Kagami's a challenge, but Sensei? Tobirama Sensei's LEGENDARY! This is gonna be so fun!"

"...But ultimately, winning doesn't matter. The point is for you to adequately showcase what you've learned. Show me that you deserve to be a ninja." He finishes, bringing some joy back into the room.

You figured he was trying to raise up everyone's mood, but hearing that sent you flying, "He wants us to show off! Yeah! Yeah! This couldn't get any better!"

"
We're heading out to the practice field. Everyone understand?"

"Yessir!" The class shouts in unison

All of you make your way from the classroom and move outside to the practice field, the line of Jonin following in tow. As everyone peels out of the building and lines up outside, Tobirama moves himself to the center of the field, "When your name is called, take your position in front of me." He declares, placing his stack of papers on the ground, picking up the one on the top, "Uzume Kukishin"

"...It just got better!" You happily run out, followed by a choir of cheers from your peers, and stare down your sensei. To most people, locking eyes with Lord Hokage's brother would be downright terrifing, but for you, it was exactly the moment you've been waiting for, a super challenge! Facing such a strong opponent was a dream come true!

"Get ready" Tobirama calmly speaks as he raises his hand to make the Seal of Confrontation, "Everything goes here. Feel free to use any ninjutsu, taijustu, or genjutsu you've learned. Treat me like a real opponent."

"Yessir!" You shout back, your blood boiling as you raise your hand in tandem

"Come at me whenever you're ready."

"Okay! Let's go! Showcase! Showcase!" You tout, pumping yourself up

Showcase your talents! Where were they exactly?

Hey, Zero here. New guy, part-time lurker. And welcome to my first attempt at a quest here. Spent some time writing similar stories elsewhere a couple years back, mainly Naruto ones at that, and looking around here put me in the mood again, so here we gooooo

Informational
Relation To Canon
This story will adhere to the Naruto canon, with the addition of some filler and original elements, moving in sequence to the original layout.
But! As this story takes place at such an early point in the timeline, actions can be taken to change, speed up, or prevent certain events from even happening

Stats
Stats shall be judged using the 8 metrics of the original series, set on a scale of 100 instead of 5
Ninjutsu: Your proficiency with ninjutsu. Determines the strength of your ninjutsu. Impacts your ability to learn new ninjutsu
Taijutsu: Your proficiency with taijutsu. Determines your expertise and effectiveness with close ranged and weapon based combat. Impacts your ability to learn new taijutsu skills
Genjutsu: Your proficiency with genjutsu. Determines the strength and effectiveness of your own genjutsu and how susceptible you are to others'. Impacts your ability to learn new genjutsu
Intelligence: How smart you are. Determines the effectiveness and given choice of strategies. Impacts your overall awareness and learning speed
Strength: How strong you are. Impacts the strength of your taijutsu and how durable you are
Speed: How fast you are. Impacts the speed of your taijutsu and your nimbleness
Stamina: Your physical constitution. Impacts how long you can fight and how many jutsu you can use
Hand Seals: How proficient you are at controlling chakra. Impacts how quickly you can form handseals, and how many it takes for you to use jutsu

Stat Growth:
The way stats will increase over the course of the story can be broken down in the following ways

Situational Growth: Be it by choice or circumstance, A character is swung into a situation that pushes the limits of their current abilities. Pushing through and going beyond what they can usually withstand may grant them a boost to the specific stat(s) being utilized

Intentional Growth: Simply put, these are the moments where characters are making the conscious effort to train and better themselves, by whatever means they may employ

When it comes to training, an actual increase in a stat's value won't be noted until a sufficient amount of training has occured, with the needed amount varying based on the current stat value. The lower a stat is, the quicker and easier it is to increase its value, but the inverse is also true. The higher in value a stat gets, the more rigorous the training needed to increase it.

Chakra:
Jutsu uses chakra! The cost is ranked with numbers 0-10 with 0 being no chakra cost and 10 being total chakra cost (fatal).

Note: This story is moreso narrative focused than number crunching. Stats are important, but they serve more purpose as a quick estimate of ability and limits, not a concrete fact to where big numbers beats all. But! Chance or luck may be involved at certain points and I shall roll a dice accordingly, taking stats into consideration.

Death:
In battle, death is nearly certain But! If the MC or other important comrades should fall in battle as a direct result of a bad choice, you will be given the opportunity to
try again...at the expense of lessening your reward for succeeding. Moments where death is possible will be marked. Note that if a point is reached to where a character is set to die as in canon, there will be no retries on such occasions. You only get one shot!

Relationships:
Your relationship with each character is set on a scale of -100 to 100 with -100 being absolute hatred, 0 being strangers, and 100 absurd admiration.
Changes based on conversation, actions, and relations to other characters

Character Info
Your Relationships:
-Takeshi Minamoto (+100/100): Soon after being handed the title of an orphan, Takeshi became your primary guardian, taking you in when he served as the Head Monk at the Fire Temple. Over the years, he grew to occupy just as much space in your heart as your parents did, becoming your personal trainer, confessional, and teddy bear whenever you needed, or more usually, just wanted a hug. The two of you share an unbreakable bond

-Ayaka Uzumaki (+80/100): One of the first friends you made after moving into the Leaf Village to attend the Academy, mostly due to being one of the only ones with enough energy to keep up with you. The two of you often spend time playing and chasing each other around the village. You sometimes catch her taking things when people aren't looking, she calls it ninja practice. She's your best friend. Currently Assigned to Team 1 under Masakazu Hiratasuka, alongside Naomi Aburame and Biwako Sarutobi.

-Ayumi Higurashi (+95/100) : A Ninja Monk, one you've dubbed as your Auntie. A wonderful woman in charge of keeping your mood and style up as your impromptu choir instructor and hairstylist. You spend your time with her zoning out from the exhaustion of training as she serenades you with her songs.

-Bussho Soho (+100/100): Current Head Monk of the Fire Temple, your defacto Big Bro. During your time at the Temple, you placed him in charge of entertaining you with random sparring matches, odd stories, and goofing off. Attempts to sound sophisticated and wise, but usually just ends up sounding weird. Everyone gets on him about it, but it makes you laugh and sometimes you even understand what he's saying. The two of you share an unbreakable bond.
-Tobirama Senju (+15/100): Your main instructor when you were at the Academy, brother to the Hokage. He's usually very cold, but you caught him smirking a few times after you did something super awesome. You think he's cool, despite his hard exterior.

-Zenji Ryu (+17/100): One of your new teammates, he's from the Ryu Clan. You didn't speak much in class, so you don't know much about him or his clan, but he always seems to perk up when its brought up. He doesn't seem shy about opening up, but is prone to be quieter than you. Everything you know about him so far is pretty sweet. That makes him cool to you!

-Mari Kurama (+18/100): Your other teammate on Team 4. She likes to read and is super smart. You're confident she can answer any question you throw her way. You like her, even though she doesn't get as excited to hit things as you do. Isn't very confident in real battles, but you think she's coming around to it. Is apparently a big fan of Rinzai Ryoma, some famous author or something. You worked out a deal to be both workout and study buddies! She's cool!

-Hashirama Senju (+3/100): The Hokage. He seems a lot nicer than Tobirama. He gives off an aura of warm strength, you think a pat you on the head from him would feel great.

-Kahori Uchiha (+15/100): You new Sensei. She likes to mess around with you and your team. She seems to share the same competitive spirit you do, smiling whenever you try and beat her. You think she's gonna be fun! As you expected, a very capable shinobi.

-Kashima Uzumaki (+5/100): Jonin, the leader of Team 2 and a friend of your new Sensei. He's a very fit guy who likes to brag a lot, it makes you laugh. You think you impressed him by saying you're gonna be stronger than he is.

-Kyou Hyuga (+5/100): A Genin on Team 2. You know a little about her from the Academy. She's very friendly and easy to get along with it, just like you! She's a-okay in your eyes.

-Umeko Hagoromo (+3/100): A Genin on Team 2. You tried to speak to her at the Academy but she would rather stare at the boys for some reason. You're cordial.

-Kiku Senju (0/100): A Genin on Team 2. She doesn't talk much. You've actually never really seen her really talk to anyone for too long, and if she did, it was usually just a few grunts and groans. All you knew was that she was super strong, even when compared to the rest of your class. You like her strength

-Kojuro Sako (+15/100): A worker at the Leaf's Orphanage. A very formal and friendly guy. Looks like he could tip over at any moment, but does this thing to make himself super big instead. The events that transpired at the orphanage has a built a steady trust and admiration between him towards you and the rest of your team. He's grateful for your efforts. He's cool.

-Seiho Oshiro (+20/100): A young boy you met at the Orphanage. With a shocking display of power, the two of you instantly hit it off and became close. Revelations have made you suspect that the reason you bonded quickly is due to an uncanny similarity between you and his sister. After the incident at the orphanage, the two of you agreed that he would be better protected under the care of the Ninja Monks at the Fire Temple. Made a deal with Haruka that, with the monks' training, he would become the stronger warrior out of the two of them. You look forward to seeing him grow. Your informally named little brother.

-Haruka ??? (+7/100): A young giddy girl from the Orphanage that took a quick liking to Zenji. A close friend of Seiho, betting him that, after pushing through the Ninja Academy, she would become the stronger warrior out of the two of them, a challenge you're interested in seeing through to the end.

-Michiru Onoe (0/100): A young girl from the Orphanage, about your age. Seemed nice since she let you hit a pile of meat, but recent events have pushed you against her in combat, making you question her true character. After the events of your first mission, she was taken into custody of the Leaf's Anbu, currently living under surveillance. You hope that she'll be able to make a return one day, on the "better" side of things.

-Tatarimokke (+5/100): A jet-black owl summoned by Kahori. The two seem to have some history together. Kahori let him look over you, so he's good in your book. Talks very noble at times

-Naomi Aburame (+3/100): A young kunoichi on Team 1. A very quiet and reserved girl, the type to get their point across using as few words as possible whenever they speak. Tends to always walk around with a cloud of bugs over her head, which looks pretty cool if you're being honest. You didn't have any real memorable moments with her during your time at the Academy, but she seems cool.

-Biwako Sarutobi (+3/100): A young and careful kunoichi on Team 1, alongside Naomi and Ayaka. From what you know about her, she seems to be a pretty well-rounded shinobi, but a somewhat anxious girl. Supposedly has a crush on Hiruzen, but you somehow never picked up on it. Odd, knowing how often you were around him yourself.

-Masakazu Hiratasuka (+1/100): Jonin, leader of Team 1. A pretty looking guy with an oddly lustrous hairstyle to match. Seems to be old friends with Kahori Sensei. Notable as the first person you've met who has actually caught Ayaka whenever she tried to take something. Cool Dude

-Tomoko Saruwatari (+3/100): One of the orphanage's new staff members and sister to one of the Hokage's guards. Apparently a very easygoing and chill person, even caught on to your secret plan to get a stack of adoption papers for yourself. Makes it rain with Water Release. You have no problems with her.

-Daisuke Senju (0/100): Son of Hashirama Senju, the Hokage. Gave off a very weird vibe. Supposedly kind of strong, so it kind of helps, but there's just something about him that you're not the biggest fan of.

-Kazuko Yamada (+2/100): A part of the orphanage staff. Seems to be a kind of elegant and proper kind of person, promising to help educate the children on things outside of ninjutsu. Can do this neat thing where her hair gets long, wraps around her, and shoots needles!

-Akihiro Akimichi (+2/100): A very round man that now works at the orphanage. He knows that he needs to eat more chocolate to increase his brain power, so you have him pegged as an expert on working out the very fine details of a diet and meal planning.
-Arisa Tsumura (-10/100): Founder of the Leaf's Orphanage. A very tall lady that could probably toss you like a ball if you let her. Initially came off as very kind, caring, and motherly...but recent events have made you question the validity of what you knew. Turned out to be the mastermind behind a child trafficking stint within the orphanage, only to be stopped because of the efforts of your team during your first mission. She was taken away by the Leaf's Anbu after a bout with your Sensei, Kahori. With no real explanation to back up her actions, your feelings towards her are not the best currently. What kind of person takes sells off children? Her current status is unknown.

    Ninjutsu

    Body Flicker Technique
A high-speed movement technique. By using this technique, a ninja can move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalize the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination
Chakra Cost: 1 (increases with distance traveled)

    Clone Technique
For this technique, the user creates one or more afterimages of themselves to move alongside them. These afterimages have no substance and thus are incapable of damaging opponents. Primarily useful for confusing enemies while other attacks are prepared.
    Chakra Cost: 1

    Substitution Technique
The instant before they are to be struck by an attack, the user replaces themselves with a block of wood or something similar nearby in order to deceive the opponent into believing that they've successfully struck the user, creating an opportunity for the user to escape or counterattack.
    Chakra Cost: 1

    Transformation Technique
This technique allows the user to disguise themselves as another person, animal, plant, or inanimate object, gaining the physical attributes of whatever they transform into, such as a weapon's sharpness or an animal's fangs. This technique requires upkeep and will automatically be dispelled if the user falls unconscious.
    Chakra Cost: 1 (Constant)

    Lightning Release: Static Discharge
The user releases a surge of electricity from their fingertips that reach out far based on the amount of chakra the user employs, shocking anything within its grasp. While this technique is active, the user can manipulate the length and direction of the arcs of lightning as a whole, allowing them to chase after opponents, switch targets, or avoid obstacles while the technique is being used.
    Chakra Cost: 3
    Taijutsu

    Breathtaker
A punch drove into the pit of the stomach. With the right precision and power behind it, this punch will easily knock the wind out of anyone. This technique isn't intended to end a fight, but to tire the opponent out by making it difficult to catch their breath and regain stamina
    Chakra Cost: 0

    Charging Gazelle
A jumping punch. From the ground, the user springs upwards, using the momentum of the jump to bolster the strength of their punch.
    Chakra Cost: 0

    Leaf Falling Shadow
A two-part attack. From a standing position, the user releases a kick aimed at their opponent's head, followed by an ax kick as they bring their leg down, giving them another chance to strike if the opponent dodged the first kick.
    Chakra Cost: 0

    Leaf Petal Reversal
A counter-punch thrown using the rotation of the entire body to increase its power. With the spiral force, when the punch makes contact, it can easily slip past an attempted attack, directing it away while the user's punch keeps moving to hit its mark
    Chakra Cost: 0

    Leaf Petal Trap
A lunging attack where the user attacks the opponent with both a flying knee and an elbow strike at the same time, hitting them from below and above simultaneously
    Chakra Cost: 0

This technique requires upkeep and will automatically be dispelled if the user falls unconscious.
    Chakra Cost: 1 (Constant)

    Dragon's Breath
A special ability unique to members of the Ryu Clan as a product of their close relationship with the dragons. Members of the clan all have the natural ability to use fire chakra, making them capable of using fire-based attacks as if it were second nature. This lowers the drain of chakra and makes them capable of using mouth based fire techniques near instantaneously, without the need of hand seals.

    Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire and expelled from the mouth either as a massive orb of roaring flame or as a continuous flame-thrower. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater in the ground's surface.
    Chakra Cost: 2

    Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire
The user creates a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner to assault the enemy. The flames are controlled one by one, making evasion very difficult.
    Chakra Cost: 1

Earth Release: Hiding Like A Mole
This technique changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. This effect goes around the body, making it just large enough for a person to move through. The user can pinpoint where they are, despite being underground, by sensing the magnetic forces. They can also sense what is happening on the surface and use that information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. One can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy can't reach. After digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.
    Chakra Cost: 4

    Earth Release: Mudshot
The user fires mud straight from their mouth at an enemy; the chakra-enhanced mud is able to trap and slow an opponent down.
    Chakra Cost: 2

    Earth Release: Rock Shelter
The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity and creates a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it to be able to observe outside.
    Chakra Cost: 3

    Chakra Cost: 1 (Constant)

Flower Shuriken: Falling Blossoms and Scattering Leaves
This technique will make flowers hover in the air before hardening and spinning at high speeds. The flowers will then be launched at the target. Their hardened state will allow them to cut targets as effectively as metal shuriken.
    Chakra Cost: 4

    Hair Camouflage Technique
Using this technique, the user's hair will lengthen and cover their whole body. They can then use this form to travel through solid objects and will emerge as a mass of hair. The hair then shrinks to its normal size at the technique's cancellation
    Chakra Cost: 2
    Genjutsu

    Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Allows one to trick others into mistaking the place they're in for another. Can be cast over a large area.
    Chakra Cost: 3

    Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique
A Genjutsu that reveals the fears that dwell inside one's heart. This genjutsu brings forth that image and has one mistake it for reality. A circle of leaves spinning around the target is used to help create the illusion.
    Chakra Cost: 2

    Demonic Illusion: Queen Stinger
An illusion where the target's sense of touch is briefly nullified as they become attacked by an illusionary swarm of bees.
    Chakra Cost: 5

    Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death
The user first disappears from plain sight in a mist-like fashion in order to approach the target without being detected. Once close enough, the target will then be completely robbed of their mobility as they see the mirage of a fast-growing tree coiling itself around them. Given that the subject remains conscious, this technique proves extremely efficient for information-gathering. Once the target is immobile, the user can then attack the enemy, usually after emerging from the trunk of the tree

    Sharingan
The powerful dojutsu of the Uchiha Clan which allows them to see chakra flow, grants them incredible perception, being able to detect subtle movements, mimic others, and see if someone is under genjutsu. It also allows the user to copy any technique they see as long as it's not a kekkei genkai.
    Chakra Cost: 1 (Constant)

    Sensing Technique
The Sensing Technique allows sensor type shinobi to detect chakra and track down targets. The range of this technique varies between sensors. Kahori's Sensing technique is utilized by focusing her chakra while placing two of her fingers to her forehead.
    Chakra Cost: 1

    Substitution Technique

    Chakra Cost: 1

    Summoning Technique
This technique allows the user to summon a contracted creature or object from another location to their side for aid. Kahori has established a contract with the Owls, allowing her to summon a wide variety of wise birds to her.
    Chakra Cost: Variant

    Transformation Technique
This technique allows the user to disguise themselves as another person, animal, plant, or inanimate object, gaining the physical attributes of whatever they transform into, such as a weapon's sharpness or an animal's fangs. This technique requires upkeep and will automatically be dispelled if the user falls unconscious.
    Chakra Cost: 1 (Constant)

    Earth Release: Earth Corridor
This technique causes the earth in the surrounding area to rise up and over a target and create a cavern, imprisoning them. The user can leave an opening to allow attacks to go in to strike down the trapped adversaries, or close it up completely to prevent escape.
    Chakra Cost: 6

    Earth Release: Earth Style Wall
This ninjutsu is used to defend against an incoming attack by creating a solid wall of earth. Chakra is either converted to earth within the body and then spat out to form the wall or the user can manipulate pre-existing earth to form the wall. The barrier itself is also coated with chakra, making its strength incomparable to that of a normal mud wall.
    Chakra Cost: 3

    Earth Release: Hardening Technique
By utilizing earth-based chakra, the user encases their body in surrounding rock, creating a suit of armor to protect themselves from external damage.
    Chakra Cost: 3

Earth Release: Hiding in Rock Technique
Using this technique, the user is able to blend into rocks and then move in and out of other rocks undetected.

After digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth
    Chakra Cost: 1

    Earth Release: Headhunter
This technique conceals the user underground and drags the object of their attack down into the earth, robbing them of their freedom. Leaving them completely unable to move after they're underground.
    Chakra Cost: 1

    Earth Release: Moving Earth Core
This technique grants the user the ability to lower or raise the ground in the surrounding area, allowing them to create giant holes or elevations in the ground. The size of the affected area, as well as the depths that it is lowered or raised to, is also up to the user. With precise timing, this technique can be used to evade incoming attacks, as well as to endanger opponents by moving them into the path of an oncoming attack reducing their reaction time as well as knocking them off balance, making it even harder to avoid the attack.
    Chakra Cost: 7

    Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop
This technique opens a small portal in the sky, spewing down a large amount of mud onto the opponent to slow them down and trap them.
    Chakra Cost: 4

    Fire Release Chakra Mode
The user coats their entire body with a layer of fire increasing their offensive and defensive power as it deters most opponents from getting too close. They are surrounded by a fierce aura of flame that can be increased and decreased in size relative to chakra use.
    Chakra Cost: 3 (Constant)

    Fire Release: Burst Wave
While utilizing the Fire Release Chakra Mode, the user is able to release a constant stream of fire from the palms of their hands or the soles of their feet, to both attack and propel themselves for mobility.
    Chakra Cost: 2

    Scorch Release: Nova Burst
While Utilizing the Fire Release Chakra Mode, and paired with a compatible Wind Releaser User, the user condenses all of the flames around them from the technique, into a small singular sphere of flame. Pushed into their target with their partner's wind, the sphere then erupts into a scorching explosion of fire that completely engulfs them and everything else within the blast zone, incinerating the battlefield. Usage of this technique cancels the Fire Release Chakra Mode.
    Chakra Use: 8

    Fire Release: Burning Hands
Using their chakra, the user coats a small portion of their body, such as their hands or feet with a thin layer of heated chakra. This allows them to then burn anything they come into contact with.
    Chakra Cost: 2

    Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire and expelled from the mouth either as a massive orb of roaring flame or as a continuous flame-thrower. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater in the ground's surface.
    Chakra Cost: 2

    Fire Release: Tracker Bullet
The user releases a small sphere of flame from their mouth that travels and increases in size and power as it moves, starting off weak and growing into a powerful orb of destruction as time goes on before it crashes into something or dissipates

[X] Deception was key. You used Genjutsu to slow down your opponent, leaving them open to smash! (+Taijutsu, +Genjutsu, +Intelligence, +Hand Seals, -Ninjutsu, -Stamina)

I would like to delve into the insanity that is genjutsu.

[X] You were a head-on kind of girl. Pure Taijutsu! (Taijutsu Focus: ++Taijutsu, +Strength, +Speed, +Stamina, -Ninjutsu, -Genjutsu)

The art of punching! Great for most things! And if we manage to come face to face with the Fourth War? Well, Taijutsu is even better.

Edit: Also doesn't make us slow or drop quickly in a fight.

Read the title, and was hoping to actually play as The Will Of Fire. Nudging people who believe in us here and there, some kind of point system/mana bar to do more then simply nudge.

The first step to Lightning Chakra Mode

Pretty much. Hopefully even Uzume's low-level Lightning Release will give something to mitigate some of that speed penalty.
Or we could use the Taijutsu option and grind the Ninjutsu up to par.

Seriously, end of the day, stat to Reality wise, Taijutsu is the best option. No massive Chakra usage that can be wasted if we miss, no chance of handseals being interrupted in the middle of a fight, or a broken finger fucking us over with Ninjutsu, and it's not like the Taijutsu option locks us out of other techniques.

You're being very pessimistic about ninjutsu and I'm not sure why. If it were so easy to screw a ninjutsu user out of being able to use their techniques, then everyone would fight like Gai and Lee.

If we go with this idea we could be a narutoized Yoruichi Shihōin

...you chose literally the worst comparison. You chose two Taijutsu specialist fanatics. Like, the two that would make other Taijutsu specialists say they go to far.

Also, in the source material, all fights ultimately end in Taijutsu soooo...
