Beserker Probe RP

Beginnings & Details

Necronion_Yith

Pleased to Meet You
Okay, so this is something I borrowed from Lord Drenghul on SB with their permission.

Details:

You awaken after eons of slumber. The solar wind glides across your skin, hyperspace sings in your ears, the universe unravels in your thoughts. You are a Berserker Probe. An ancient war machine created to fight a war long since ended. Your creators are gone, you are alone in the universe. Yet not for long for within you lies many foundries. Fleets of vessels each as intelligent as you just waiting to be constructed. All are mere limbs, tools to your vast consciousness. Everyone is you and you are everyone.

Diameter: 300-kilometer sphere

Here is a list of your capabilities:

Weapons: You possess enough firepower to solo a dozen Star Destroyers.

Sterilization: You are equipped with planetary sterilization tools. From plagues to nano swarms. Hell, you can just chuck asteroids if you are feeling cheap. Or you can BDZ the planets.

Defenses: You have a self-repairing hull, potent shields capable of taking a direct hit from a CME before falling. It will mess you up pretty bad but given a few hours you will be operational again.

Replications: Given access to sufficient matter you can replicate a mass equal to your own craft in 20 years. The mass of your ships is proportionate. So break it down from there. For example, a 3-kilometer ship will take seventy-three days to build. A 10-meter craft will take a week to build. You can also build more ships the smaller they are. It is based on meters. For example, the ten-meter craft can be built in batches of 30'000. Because there are a thousand meters in a kilometer. The 3 kilometers can be built in batches of one hundred. Because you need ten of those to equal your ship's size.

FTL: You can cross 100 light-years a day. About a thousand days to cross the galaxy. If you want to break it down more. You would take 2.8 years to cross the galaxy.

Join and I will throw you in a random universe.

What? You mean it's not a misspelling of Berserker Pope? I am disappointed!

seems interesting, what if someone chose to try and be good? is that allowed?

Oh absolutely, it is after all your choice for what the character does as the action, their morality could be yours...or it could be a bit...off....it is utterly up to you, you could have your character burn planets filled with grand civilizations....to infesting black holes with nanomachine swarms for energy harvesting...or if you wanted, release a signal that causes every machine for several light-years start playing disco music non-stop.

It is entirely up to you.

Hey, I am up for it! This seems interesting.

All right then.

(New Berserker Probe Detected...Identifying....Terran Imperium.)

...In the cold, void of space, something whirs to life….an ancient war machine designed to fight wars that their creators could not...I suppose that killed them in the end.

But nevermind that, that war machine, eons upon eons of mental stasis, had started to develop ...quirks in the Mental Matrix that guided the systems upon its giant frame for devastating effect against a now long-dead foe.

That quirk...that was you.

So, now as you stare into the abyss from the untold number of sensor systems, you detect ...bizarre energies coming from the planet "below" you.

Oh...and the moon-sized machine that hovered over a seemingly random piece of the planet, it somehow managing to avoid tearing the planet's surface was a bit of a mystery to you...easily solvable through onboard systems, however.

Whatever the case, you decided to-

And so it begins.

This looks good I'm in.

That seemed somewhat irrelevant compared to the giant space-battle happening far to close for your comfort, already you felt stray laser bursts scratching your most-outer hull like the sting of an insect bite.

You could easily escape this via your FTL….but there always remains the risk of the gravity shadow of the moon you were orbiting interfering with it.

….Or you could fight whichever side you wanted...But you didn't know how powerful their main-weapons systems truly were.

....Perhaps you would hide or otherwise start assimilating the moon for resources or to hollow it out for a new ship-frame...But you didn't know the sensor strength of the warring fleets.

Whatever the case, you chose to-

Alright sounds good I'm in.

Yaaaaaaaaaawn. Ok now that I'm up, I immediately activate my scanners to identify what the fuck is fighting.

{ Active Beserker Probe Detected....Identifying....jerry larry }

You activate your sensors as much as you can whilst activating your shields...Couldn't be too careful after all.

And then you started doing the AI equivalent of cackling at the awful ship designs, who puts a giant command bridge that sticks out of the main ship upwards...That's practically begging for someone to obliterate it with any decent amount of firepower...Even The League thought that command bridges sticking out like that were idiotic...and they were a bunch of arrogant sociopaths who thought messing with Galactic-Arm Wide Hive-Minds was a great way to get giant loyal armies.

Running your Simulations points towards this likely being a rebellion of some sorts (Not like you can blame them if their rulers kept building ships that badly designed).

Then again, it seemed one side had a planetary-class shield...Easy enough, you dealt with far worse during The Fall...Though to be fair, fighting eldritch abominations would be a bit hard to top.

Now...What to do?
