"Nezu?" Shota asked, gesturing to the screen in question.
"Let me see," Nezu said, pulling up a file, "Midoriya Izuku. Quirk, Copy, allows him to copy any Quirk he sees as an object stored in… Oh… Oh dear."
"What?" Shota said.
"Orimoto Rika, Quirk, Vengeful Spirit. A death activated Quirk that allows her to take a monsterous form and bond to the person closest to her emotionally."
"And I'm guessing that was Midoriya?" Shota asked, wondering what her home life was like that she bonded to a
kid.
"Yes. Midoriya named the fused Quirk "Authentic Mutual Love". Rika stores his Quirks, and protects him from being ambushed while he fights. He, in turn, swears to be faithful and true until the day they both pass on."
"That's worrying," Shota said.
"But also quite romantic," Midnight added as the exam began, Midoriya rushing forwards and drawing the katana, slashing a single pointer in half and then moving on to a two pointer. Behind him skidded a three pointer, which he seemed to ignore as he took out the two pointer. Then, just for a moment, something flashed across the screen. A hulking, eyeless creature with needle-like teeth and a tail where its legs should be. It brought a giant hand down on the three pointer, smashing it into the road and shattering both the robot and the road..
Midoriya chucked one of the grenades at another two pointer, watching it explode without a care for the destruction behind him. Then another at a three pointer, rushing forwards as he gripped the katana in both hands. The three pointer, a hole in its chassis but still operational, fired rubber bullets at Midoriya's feet... only for Rika to appear in front of him, catching the stream of bullets as she floated an inch in front of Midoriya. Finally, she disappeared right as they were in front of the robot, and Midoriya cleaved it in two with a swing of his katana.
This continued, Midoriya and Rika fighting in synchrony, until the 0-pointer was unleashed. At the call for help from another examinee, Midoriya rushed towards her, leaving Rika to crush a pair of single pointers before disappearing.
"Rika," Midoriya said.
"Don't like," Rika hissed out, the first words Aizawa had heard from the specter.
"We can't leave her to die, Rika," Midoriya said, and Rika coughed up… A megaphone, handing it to Midoriya before beginning to destroy the rubble around the other examinee. Midoriya stepped forwards, raising the megaphone to his mouth, and said "Boo!"
It was like a wave of force hit was released from the megaphone, shattering windows, walls, the smaller robots in the way and, finally, the Zero Pointer, blasting it back to its proverbial "spawn" point.

Izuku slept restlessly the night before UA started. Which wasn't unusual. He often slept fitfully; memories of a body with a crushed head, of Kacchan slammed against the wall by a monster, choking as his chest was crushed. Of a pretty girl handing him a ring, of his father looking down on him expectantly.
Finally, three hours before UA started, he got up, walking towards a small shrine in the corner of his room and lighting two sticks of incense in front of the picture of what Rika had looked like as a human. Sitting seiza in front of it, he closed his eyes and clapped his hand in prayer.
A familiar cold, soul shivering feeling wrapped around him, and Rika hissed out, "Love you."
"I love you too," Izuku said calmly, truthfully. He would always love Rika, even if it meant never getting another relationship.
He stayed there for over an hour, until his mother knocked on the door and opened it, her soft eyes softening even further when she saw him there.
"She doesn't want you acting like that," she reproached without any heat.
"I know, but she's still dead, and deserves to be mourned," Izuku said, standing, "Time for breakfast?"
"I'm making you an American style one to celebrate your first day at UA," Inko said, "why don't you get packed-?"
"Already done," Izuku said, pointing to the backpack with a kendo sheath attached to it. Inko smiled, hugging Izuku and taking some of the cold from Rika off him.
"I'm so proud of you, Izuku," Inko said,"I know you had a rough time getting over what happened, but-
Getting over? He had never gotten over it.
"-You're stronger now. Stronger than I was when Hisashi died."
Izuku didn't respond, neither Rika or him had liked his father very much. Sitting down on the table, he smiled as his mom put an omelet, pancake and bacon in front of him. It was different from what he usually ate, which was what was traditional for Japanese people, but sometimes different was nice.
Izuku ate it all, feeling the warmth of a mother's love run its way through his body, then said, "Thanks Mom, I should probably head out early, don't want to miss the train. Come on, Rika."

Bakugo Katsuki entered UA half an hour early to make sure he was on time. Making his way through the halls of the academy, he ground his teeth that Deku, who was basically a handler for a
villain, got into UA. And no, it wasn't the ghostly throbbing of his chest as he thought about the bitch that was making him think that way.
Orimoto had always gotten in the way of Katsuki showing Deku why it was a dumb idea to copy
his Quirk. She'd done it in life, and she did it all the more viscously in death. Why didn't she hate the little copycat for getting her killed? Why did she protect him?
Shoving open the door to 1-A, he found Deku sitting in his assigned seat, and as he glanced over, worry in his eyes, Orimoto flashed into existence behind him to bare her teeth at Katsuki before disappearing. Walking by Deku, he was tempted to shove him out of his chair anyway to show Orimoto who was boss before pushing it aside and taking his seat.
Swinging his feet up so they were resting on his desk, he heard a scandalized gasp from another extra, who stood up and walked towards him.
"What do you think you're doing, disgracing the desks of our predecessors like that?" Asked the blue haired extra, waving an arm up and down in an exaggerated gesture. What the
shit?
"You think I give a damn about what you think about how I'm sitting, you extra!?" Katsuki demanded, to a startled gasp from the extra, who repeated the gesture as he said, "We're not supposed to swear on school grounds!"
Fuck that noise.
"Yeah, what are ya gonna do about it? Go cry to a teacher like a little snitch?" Katsuki taunted. Only to freeze as a voice disrupted them.
"That's. Enough. Kacchan," Orimoto hissed out, "You're. Distracting. Izukun."
"What- what is that thing?" The blue haired extra said, staring at the monster that took up most of the glass wall.
"A villain pretending it isn't," Katsuki snapped, but put his feet down.
"No. That's. You."
