No, but you're not underwater for too long. It's like just till ten seconds past the point you need to breath. Kinda of like a scary baptism.

Pretty good, but if you wanna make it a career, you'll have to get licensed and join the sub-order of Rainmakers.
 
Ah fair enough, I didn't thouroughly read the Jinn options because at a glance they all seemed very much overspecialized for my taste. My bad.

I don't think I've ever seen a weather magician play.

The bottom line is that we inspect the territory from a height and create rains where it is needed.
Protection from Rain is needed in order not to spoil our image as a magician, and not to catch a cold under constant rains

Now that I am looking at it though the ritual with the Ardi is even more vague wonder if that means it would have / could have the potential to change each time or be different for each and every Fakir?

I had been in another quest where there was a small hold around the Eye Of The Panther, but I think that was made up for that that quest.
Total war has some south of cobra ass but outside of cathay and kislev stuff I give the canonicity of anything introduced in those games a lot of doubt.

Obviously there *were* dwarves that ranged as far south as to be near Zlatlan at one point but IDK the status of others as of 1990 I.C.

Barak Varr probably probably interacts occasionally via the sea though I imagine? I'm probably getting my geography off?

There are dwarf communities in the Sharie al-Miat Qazama (Street of One Hundred Dwarves) in Kopher and the Bayt al-Jabal (House of the Mountain) in al-Haikk. The Mountain Clans have stories about a city in the Atalan Mountains, but everyone considers it superstition. Arabyan traders will go to Barak Varr to trade and vice-versa, but like independent dwarf holds, no they don't exist or at least have been found.
 
@Whynot09 If we summon rain and travel through the air, can we use Tattoo of the Sandstorm on ourselves to gain stealth by distracting attention from a flying person by bad weather?
 
Are you asking if Tattoo of the Sandstorm will manifest as bad weather if you cast Calling the Rain beforehand or would Casting the Rain strengthen the effect of Tattoo of the Sandstorm? Sorry, I'm not sure if I'm reading that right.

Well, we're probably the caravaneer's best friend. The only thing I don't understand is why we need Drying. This is hardly relevant in the desert.
Maybe dry some food supplies until they are completely preserved?

Yes drying food supplies, creating instant kindling, low quality water traps if one is clever enough, help with distillation, could I imgine discretely kill plants, quite a lot of uses potentially....

and that's just the stuff coming off the top of my head and on it's own rather than synergistically.

I appreciate having a character who has a decent idea about how the world she inhabits works. Even though I find the other fellows theistic attitude a very interesting starting block given how diverse and varied the spirits and gods and or gods get within Warhammer.

Naila had better luck on the rolls. Both Yusa and Naila had Learning as their strongest stat and Piety as their weakest. I rolled their stats and Naila came out with higher results especially with their piety score.

That one was my fault and thanks for the catch.
