WHAT'S UP GUYS JUST WANTED TO PUT THIS QUEST OUT THERE AND SEE WHAT WE CAN DO!

First of, I...

File Island (Digital World)
WHAT'S UP GUYS JUST WANTED TO PUT THIS QUEST OUT THERE AND SEE WHAT WE CAN DO!

First of, I have 2nd ed Lunar and 2nd Ed Abyssal and 3rd ed Solar rule books, this quest is set in Westeros and we'll be the only Exalted character we are doing Character Building and stuff as well, no pre gen character. We'll be from Creations

First Vote we need to get out of the way, will we be playing, we also are not playing EVIL PEOPLE morally grey or gray is fine though. Descriptions we don't have to abide by for what I have written for each Exalted below. That is just usually what they are like.

[] Abyssal Exalted
They tend to be dark, mysterious, rude or politely rude, mostly evil but not always.

[] Solar Exalted They tend to be heroic, bold, charismatic, vain. Mostly good by a certain definition of good.

[] Lunar Exalted They tend to be more in touch with nature, embittered, cynical. Are good, but more free willed.

We'll choose the caste after we agree on something, then we'll do merits and charms, I'll do the skills depending on which caste we choose

2nd Vote

[] Game of Thrones (TV Show) less detailed world and R+L=J

[] Song of Ice and Fire (books) more detailed world, less redeemable character and ?+?=J

On a personal level I'd prefer if R+L did not =J

IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT EQUATION IS LEAVE NOW AND NEVER COMEBACK UNLESS YOU WANT SEE SPOILERS

3rd Vote Time Period

[] Pre tourney at Harrenhal, like 6 months before it

[] Tourney at Harrenhal

[] Roberts Rebellion

[] Geryjoy Rebellion

[] A Game of Thrones

4th Vote where do we start at, we'll go into detail about where later as well

[] The North

[] The Riverlands

[] The Westerlands

[] The Crownlands

[] The Vale

[] The Reach

[] Dorne

[] Dragon Stone

[] The Stormlands

Alright guys this is important because it will tell us who we know and who we can become friends with

Alright guys I will be stating that the character is going to be Male. I do not believe I can write a Female character well enough.

Smaller world and easier to write

I've waited wayy too long for a PROPER DEATHKNIGHT QUEST.

We'll be the hero Westeros deserves. This is the one setting that does need a Dusk caste coming in and fucking shit up, because the finality after oblivion/becoming a powerful ghost is notably much better than being a common serf in Westeros.

Also, I'm curious how necrotech and Necromancy work with the Others and the Zombie horde. We might actually usurp these motherfuckers.

Step off the beaten path of the Solar Exalted, guys. Necromantic kingdom of Ice is the way to go. We can keep the people we like as ghosts, even!

Think of all that we can do in the Pre Tourney We could even be Jon's father!
The children of all Celestial Exalted tend to come out as openly inhuman abominations, and I'm prretty sure Abyssals are infertile.

Getting an unholy bride would be more of an infernal thing, but an Abyssal can do that sure, if you want to elope with Lyanna. Draw upon that undead Count Dracula aesthetic and we should be fine if we raise appearance.

Also, @JAGA03 , would we have access to our Monstrance or be a renegade abyssal? I'm guessing we don't have a Deathlord patron, because they have relatively little to do in ASOIAF, but can we use materials like Valyrian steel for Necrotech? Do we IC know how to make soulsteel by murdering ghosts, and can we do that?

CC2
So we will be starting as an Abyssal Exalted

We'll be using ASOIF

We'll be 6 months prior to the Tourney at Harrenhal

We'll be in the North

Next Vote Caste

[] Dusk Caste (Warriors and Generals) can only learn specific Charms

[] Midnight Caste (Priests and Rulers) can only learn specific Charms

[] Daybreak Caste (Sorcerers and Scholars) can only learn specific Charms

[] Day Caste (Assassins and Spies) can only learn specific Charms

[] Moonshadow (Diplomats) can learn any Charm, regardless of source.

We'll do Concepts after we have our caste

Which Deathlord made us

[] The Bishop of the Chalcedony Thurible

[] The Bodhisattva Anointed by Dark Water

[] The Dowager of Irreverent Vulgate in Unrent Veils
(She usually has only one Deathknight who is usually a little girl, but you she made the exception)

[] Eye and Seven Despairs

[] The First and Forsaken Lion

[] The Lover Clad in the Raiment of Tears

[] The Mask of Winters

[] Princess Magnificent with Lips of Coral and Robes of Black Feathers

[] The Walker in Darkness

Anyone who wants to give a more detailed explanation about the Deathlords, it'd be too long of a post if I put it all up here

Next up, did we go rouge or are we still loyal to our Deathlord

[] We are Loyal

[] We're Rouge

[] It's complicated (My Deathlord knows I am loyal to him, but no one else does) will be expanded upon in game

[] It's very complicated (My Deathlord thinks I'm loyal to him as does everyone else, well almost everyone) will be expanded upon in game

Note if you are loyal or they think you are loyal, we can have a patron

Do we want to be fertile or infertile,

[] We are Fertile and can have kids

[] We are Infertile and can't

How Long have we been here for

[] We've been here since the Long Night

[] We've been here since the Andal Invasion

[] We've been just before Aegon the Conquer

[] We were here during the Dance with Dragons

[] We were since the first black fire Rebellion

[] We've been here since the Year of the False Spring

[] We just got here

Everyone note that if we have been here for long time, the hell were we doing sitting down and chilling till the end of the world?

Where in the North do we reside, btw this is in the North not beyond the Wall. You that thing made to keep foreign entities out, if we were on the other side of that, we'd be screwed.

[] Near Winterfell

[] Near the Dreadfort

[] In the Wolfswood

[] Near The Last Hearth

[] Near White Harbor

[] In the Neck (For Real guys, you better have a good explanation why we'd be there)

We'll decide Personality, Anima, Character Concept, Charms as write, I'll choose merits though and we'll be starting at Essence 2.

Reserved for Character Sheet

So we will be starting as an Abyssal Exalted

We'll be using ASOIF

We'll be 6 months prior to the Tourney at Harrenhal

We'll be in the North

So it would seem we are going to be Fertile and able to have Kids

Our Loyalty is complicated as we are loyal but no one else knows that except the Deathlord

We serve the Lover Clad in the Raiment of Tears

Personally I wouldn't mind the Midnight, but the people have voted for Moonshadow

We just got here, so we'll just have to decided what we are doing here

And we're starting in the Wolfswood, I guess we'll be the reason why no one goes in their at night.

Embittered Paragon: In life before you died you were a hero, a paragon who sacrificed much more many, whom none care to remember. If man dedicates his life to good deeds, his name will be forgotten. But if he dedicates death to most wicked deed, his name will echo down the centuries to come. If someone does not know your name, you will give them a reason to remember it!

Manipulation
Charisma
Dexterity

We seek to spread The Lover Clad in the Raiment of Tears's influence into this world to gain her a distinct advantage over the other Deathllords and thus gain her favour.

Our Anima is the Triforce

Our Background is the Underworld Manse

So to explain the vote

Are Secondary Attributes Perception, Intelligence, Stamina

We are trading out Sailing and Linguistics for Martial Arts and Performance

Yes our Lunar Bondmate should be in Westeros but should be somewhere not close to us

Changing Moon Chaste

Intimacies

Major:
Deathlord First, yourself second, everything else last
Major:
Never forget an insult, never forgive a transgression

Minor: Bide your time and wait, vengeance is not a one night stand but a complicated, deep and long term relationship
Minor: Shatter egos of those whom believe themselves above others
Minor: Always give credit where it is due
Minor: You like camping out in winter and other outdoorsy stuff. It's cool! (Really fuck you guys)
Minor: Always pay your debts
Minor: Good people, have good sex (Rape is a special kind of evil)

You might notice we have a lot of Intimacies, that is because those last what 4 had 2 votes each and more of them the better I say

No idea why Occult was listed twice with 2 votes, but that = 4 so that is why it is going to be our favored Abilities

Favored Abilities

Integrity

Dodge

Awareness

Occult

Survival

Our Supernatural ability that starts at 2 instead of 1

Manipulation

We view death as the inconvenience of flesh, something that as an Abyssal we can overcome, something that the Neverborn and Deathlords have overcome. The spreading of mass ghosthood is a boon to society as it removes pain and old age from people.

Our main virtues are
Conviction and Temperance

We have three free charms they are

Dead Man's grasp
From the Dark Messiah Style

Cost: 1m per actions
Mins: Martial Arts 2, Essence 2
Type: Supplement
Duration: Until released

Abyssal Warriors crush their foes with unnatural strength of the risen dead. This Charm supplements a grapple attack . The contested roll to control the clinch plays out as normal... but the deathknight inflicts lethal damage. What's more the ray damage of his clinch increase by one for each subsequent action the character maintains control of the grapple, to the maximum of the characters Martial Arts tarting. The charm ends and the damage bonus resets to +0 if the Abyssal stops spending essence and squeezing to deal damage.

Morbid Fascination Style
Cost: 5m
Min: Performance 3, Essence 2
Type: Simple
Duration: One scene

When an Abyssal speaks, few dare to interrupt. Unlike its Solar Mirror, all listeners are subjected to this Charm understand that a supernaturally terrifying orator addressed them. The maximum Will points required to resist this charm for a scene, however, is four rather than three

Soul Reins
Cost: 5m,
Mins: Ride 1, Essence 1
Type: Simple
Duration: One Day
Perquisite Charms: none

The Deathknight physically and and mentally tames a natural or undead animal large enough to bear him, supernaturally breaking it's will to better suit his needs. If the Exalt is already riding the animal when he activates this Charm, it requires no activation roll. If, however the Abyssal wishes to leap astride the animal that does not wish to be ridden and the Abyssal is within a number of yards of the target equal to the his ride score, his place must roll a special physical 'attack' first. This 'attack' uses (Dexterity+Ride) at a difficulty to the animals Control Rating. A successful hit inflicts no damage but grants dominion over the new mount. A beast enchanted by Soul Reins becomes a creature of darkness and ceases to need Virtues as per the walking dead. It is Control 1 when ridden by its master and moves as an extension of his will, preventing him from falling off unintentionally. Within the realms of the dead, the steed always knows its master's location (unless the master is in an area warded from scrying) and must make it's way to his side at at best possible speed whenever the master wishes it to do so. Each use of this charm on a natural animal permanently increases its Control rating by one (maximum of 6). This effect does not effect the Charm's difficulty. Each month of care and gentle retraining reduces the rating by one until the animal's behavior returns to normal.

We look like

Our supernatural Ability is

Martial Arts

Lelouch Vi Britannia

Uh no?
Half caste solars have a few charms and some motes.
Lunars can make half castes or beastmen.

Abyssals are fully fertile, but doing so invokes the wrath of the Neverborn to try to kill the mate and child

[X] Moonshadow (Diplomats) can learn any Charm, regardless of source.
[X] The Lover Clad in the Raiment of Tears
[X] We are Loyal
[X] We are Fertile and can have kids

[X] Near The Last Hearth

Okay, the Dreadfort is because we can kill Bolton,
Day caste is because Abyssals have the best Athletics/Stealth charms,
The Walker in Darkness can probably usurp the Stranger and so provide us with 'Divine' backup.

Wait, we're going Abyssal with Diplomacy? It's not unworkable, but d'you really want that? The designs of the Neverborn aren't very conducive to Diplomacy...

More seriously, don't be worried about the limited charms of the other options. Abyssal charms are Celestial charms, which are better than literally any other charm we could get. The only thing we don't get is variety of effects, which isn't that good as it looks like. We can still buy social charms as a Day Caste, but we will be wasting our Caste skills on shit like Ride, Sail, Linguistics and Bureaucracy. I'd be all for iron Islands with Sailing, but the North does require different skills.

Deathlords are good, but Deathlords are not that good, you'd need the Neverborn would do that

before I vote could someone please give me some insight into who the patrons are?
The Mask of Winters is a aggressive Deathlord, likes to conquer territory

The First and Forsaken Lion is one of the oldest Deathlords, he was cast into a suit of armor by the Neverborn and is the most martial Deathlord, and pretty sane

The Bishop is a religious Theocrat who focuses on spreading the religion off the Neverborn and creating a cult of ancestor worship.,

The Dowager is a fucking insane sadist who has a complex with a kid

[X] Day Caste (Assassins and Spies) can only learn specific Charms
[X] The Bishop of the Chalcedony Thurible

There's no point in creating an unfocused Moonshadow for versatility. Abyssals aren't suited for Rulership or Diplomacy due to not having the extensive social charmset of the Solars, being incentivised to be near places of death, and having the spooky aura of the neverborn (with Resonance mechanics). Lets not take on a role we are that unsuited for.

Let's be the Enforcer of the Faith of the Dead. The Bishop is really good at religious guidance, and we can kill anyone who doesn't obey the death cult. It gives us a defined vector to do stuff and change Westeros for the better, while giving us discounts on the best parts of the Abyssal Charmset (Stealth, Athletics)

We voted for Abyssal so we could scourge Westeros of the shits who are ruining it; don't unfocus the build with overmuch diplomacy. Be a knife to the hearts of our enemies, swift precise and final.

FOR ALL OF YOU, IF YOU WANT TO DO DIPLOMACY AND MANIPULATION THAT IS FINE, IT CAN WORK AND THERE IS A CASTE DEDICATED TO IT FOR A REASON.

You forgot to mention that the Bishop usually screws himself over due to his own devotion

The First and forsaken Lion knows nothing but Military structure and War

The Dowager has a thing for little girls no I mean really she does

The Mask of Winters is among the weakest and usually uninterested in anything beyond Thorns

The Lover focuses on making others destroy themselves and all but the Bodhisattva have forgotten who she was and what achieved

The Bodhisattva is one of the three weakest and usually good at lying

The Princess is meant to be the weakest but can be debated

Eyes and Seven Despairs whom usually wastes time trying to get vengeance against people he can't reach

The Walker a guy who rules like a Warrior Priest also makes everyone do only what their caste is meant to do AND NOTHING ELSE
