Loop 1: March 16th of Wednesday, 20XX
Your eyes open up to a familiar ceiling, and you just stare for awhile. A nurse eventually comes by to check up on you, but other than making a perfunctory greeting and noise of acknowledgement for her telling you about your nearing release in a few hours, you ignore everything but your own thoughts.
What could be so interesting about the ceiling? There is the fact that it is still intact, compared to when it was last torn asunder; also, the filigree interwoven with it is of two threads braided over and over into each other in a series of golden infinity symbols.
You just now notice this fact, and how fitting it is!
Holding the purple soul gem -as Tomoe-senpai and Kaname-san called their Fabergé eggs- that, again, you just notice is now in your hands up to your face, you peer through its somewhat translucent glowing purple crystal, the image of the ceiling and yourself refracting ad infinitum until you can barely tell which way reality is: in fact, you and the world blot out until only your thoughts are left.
And what thoughts they are!
What does it mean, that Kyubey said your wish had surpassed entropy? Thinking back on what the pseudo-tutoring sessions with Kaname-san had to say about it, it was the measure of disorder in a system. In other words, if distinct things are orderly, messy, vague things must be disorderly. In which case, that must mean your wish somehow has an ordering effect? Is that true for other wishes too?
At the very least, the soul gem holds an eerie beauty to it. If the kaleidoscope held within could be considered an ordered chaotic effect, what would its opposite be?
Ah.
Staring even deeper into the worlds upon worlds holding only yourself and the chaotic ordering of braided lines that are surrounding, you notice an infinitesimally small speck of something darker than dark, emptier than the void between galaxies - it declares to you, saying, "All things end, yet, you will not end. Nihilism is denied to you: the universe is filled with meaning, and its final closing chapter is despair."
Somehow, just the noticing of that content feeds it, and it becomes just a little bit bigger.
Is... is that entropy? No, it cannot be: the meaning of it is too clear, the value it holds dear is dyeing the space around.
Think about it. If your wish has surpassed entropy, and the proof of the wish of every magical girl is their soul gem, then... is this the opposite, a chaotic order, something that still is beyond entropy?
This is as far as you can go. Your head hurts, and you have scarcely even scratched the surface of these concepts. You do not know more than this and would have to study and ask around to gain that knowledge.
You snap out of your trance, feeling a little cold and uneasy from what you have gained. Nevertheless! Does it really matter if it means you can save Kaname-san and the others? No! You came back in time to save them, so face the future head on!
You pep yourself up with a loud noise, slapping your face, and say to yourself, "It's okay, Homura! It's like that one manga says! Cute girls can do anything, ehehe~!"
Though you are not cute at all, you feel a bit better, and it is what Kaname-san would have said. Except, out of the corner of your vision, you notice the same nurse who had checked up on you earlier back, holding a clipboard with a number of papers on it, apparently here to discuss the specifics of you checking out of the hospital.
She kindly says, in a very indulgent way, "Yep! Yep! That's right Akemi-san." She holds out and brings attention to her clipboard. "Even fill out paperwork!" She even adds a cheeky smile at the end.
For your part, you just cover your blushing face with your hands and stew in embarrassment.
Now that you're about ready to get out of the hospital -with your dignity!- you think about what you are going to do next.
[ ] Contact Kyubey to bounce your thoughts off of him. (In other words, try and find a magical girl, cause you don't know where Kyubey is! Maybe calling out to him like you would a lost pet might work?)
[ ] Get your apartment ready by going to the library and borrowing some books! Huh? Furniture? What's that? (Explore your own life.)
- [ ] What type of books?
- [ ] Remember to buy furniture? Yes or no? (Mystery Encounter)
[ ] Find a place to test out your powers. (Encounter dependent on place, if at all)
- [ ] Where?
- [ ] Anything specific to test? (At the very least, the basics will be covered regardless)
[ ] Check in on Kaname-san to at least make sure she's safe. (??? deepens)
[ ] Write-in (If too meta-gamey or out of character, I'll try my best to do it in the spirit with which the write-in was made.)
