So I am workshopping some ideas for the midterms elections, I may actually have you guys vote on who will become the speaker of the house after the midterms. And if that workout I may actually do something similar for 2028.

Map of the 2nd Cold War as of mid to late June 2025. Dark Blue is America/NATO, and the Lighter Blue are American Client States/Western Aligned Nations. Dark Red is the Vena/Songhai Pact, with Lighter Red being under the sphere of influence of one of the three Triumvirate Powers of Vena, China, and Russia, though it can be argued that Russia at this point is simply a puppet state of the two larger powers.


Regarding nuclear weapons, the one displayed on the map above is only between NATO and the Songhai Pact proper. NATO has the advantage in the total raw number of nuclear weapons while having fewer total troop numbers than the Songhai Pact. The opposite case is true for the Songhai Pact, with fewer nuclear ICMB Warheads (Vena, however, has more powerful weapons in terms of megatons) but total manpower though the vast majority of that is coming from Vena who is currently footing the man power bill.



Above is a map of the current ongoing conflicts in Africa, the deadliest of which, at least for now, American special military operation in the Congo that were only supposed to take three weeks but have got bogged down into a proxy war, with America being forced to draft people and use PMC's alongside their puppet government to try and win the war, as Congo Soviet and Communist Rebels are receiving lethal aid from the Songhai Pact…sounds familiar? The timeline, location, roles, and war may be different, but military stupidity never changes.





Speaking of the US of A, the home front isn't going too well. In addition to dealing with the global dumpster fire that is the Second Great Depression, it has to deal with civil unrest, a presidential candidate that effectively governs the entire Black Belt, parts of Texas, and is a sexy Black girl-boss Putin, if he was socially progressive and as intelligent as MSNBC makes him out to be, on top of that, there is the fallout from The Placement as the US is one of the largest affected countries that didn't just pop into existence. Then it's the matter of the US having the highest number of Metahumans out of any other country in the world; this doesn't lend itself to a great time.




So, Europe is on fire with multiple riots and a few insurgencies. A peninsula that was once home to the most economically, politically, and militarily powerful nations on earth for centuries, many countries of which controlled much the entire planet less than half a century beforehand, is now crumbling down rapidly as their leaders desperately try and pretend this is not the case as their country burns around them, all the while the Venan Lions is sitting at their Edges waiting to enact their "Great Trial.".

Rojava has pushed back Turkish forces into Turkey, which has become increasingly unstable in Syria proper Bashar al-Assad has won the civil war outside of Rojava. At the same time, Iran has managed to make gains in Iraq after the Choas of The Placement after Saddam era troops appeared on their borders. Meanwhile, the KSA and RSA have agreed to a cease-fire, but that hasn't stopped the price of oil from collapsing, and now there are rumors of the RSA falling into the Venan camp. In North Africa, Libya is still in civil war as the promised of elections have fallen through yet again; oh yeah, and Gaddafi has been sighted there somehow.









The Cold War in Asia can be currently defined by three Maoist-led insurgencies or two real hardline Maoist ones and one vaguely giving communist undertones so they can get weapons. Ironically, none of these rebels are being backed by the People's Republic of China. Instead, they are getting guns from *drum roll please* ...Vena!

So I decided to repost an infographic from my TikTok onto here as a better reference for some of the characters' height. Here is a chart of the height comparison between the average Venan Soldiers and the average American soldier. Venan's exceptionally tall height was inspired by the Dinka people of South Sudan, who are some of the tallest people in the world and would probably be even taller if it weren't for issues around nutrition.

Here is a more detailed depiction of the height difference between Venan and American soldiers.

Here is a Venan compared to their Wolfaninan counterpart. The height difference is even more noticeably shorter than the Venans. This is largely due to a combination of factors, but mostly the lack of nutrition due to the Wolfanina being a feudal society with the bulk of their population being serfs. For example, Princess Mina is around 5'4 and Prince AJ is around 6'11.

Above is a map of Mars, a few months after the start of its terraforming process at the hands of Black Power. How did Bishop manage to do this? Well, if you remember back to the early days of the story when we first started to get title cards, Bishop, upon discovering his family's old spaceship that they used to get to the Sol System, found that it came with technology capable of terraforming a world over a few centuries. However, thanks to Bishop's work on the systems, using alien technology taken from the ship of the collector a few chapters back, and his knowledge of a Water Goddess of weather, he managed to speed up the process to years and decades instead of centuries. However, the only real oxygen is around the coastlines of Mars, limited to seas, lakes, and wetlands, and even then, you will need an oxygen mask in some places to deal with the thin air.

In terms of climate, the inner area is a frozen, uninhabitable desert soaked in radiation, but the areas around the coast are nice, almost Mediterranean, with most days ranging between 50 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit in the winters and the warm months falling between 72-85 on average. The day is roughly the same 24 hours as on Earth, except for an extra 37 or so minutes. There is around a small town size, though after the events and exchanges that will happen during the Week War and the number of displaced people seeking a new life, this is subject to change in the near future.
