Gooooood 'Nuff. I apologize for this boring start, but I think I have it figured out...

===============================================================================

You close your eyes and think about your promise for a moment before you decided the best thing you can do is continue on with your job. Hopefully Alexander is okay, right? You were in Brooklyn anyways, you think. Sighing, you wander down the street a bit before you realize you have absolutely no clue where the hell to go. Something about a warehouse robbery, right? Looking at a nearby newspaper dispenser, you see the story on the local papers front page, and the appropriate address. 'guess that's where I'm headed...' you think to yourself, looking over the map you snagged earlier and meandering towards your destination.

===============================================================================

After what felt like hours of wandering around trying to find the right address, you reach it, looking over at the warehouse that had been robbed. Why was it robbed? What are you looking for? Hell if you know, but what you do know is that there's a broken window, and what looks to be a door off of it's hinges. Which is odd, all things considered.

Looking the place over, it's a simply warehouse company, but there's an odd amount of men in suits standing about, inspecting the damage. You're still pretty hazy from all the recent drugging, but you still manage to overhear one of them calling another by the title "Detective" and realize just who they are. Maybe they could help you, they probably know more about the incident than you do, and you both need to find them anyways. You still hand quite remember why though. Odd...

===============================================================================

It's short and concise, but it's progress. You've escaped the clutches of Alexander and James, but now you're faced with dilemma of how to proceed forward.

[] Ask the detectives what they know.

[] Sneak into the warehouse and see what you can find.

[] watch them for a little while longer.

"Just stopping a local crimeboss. Same old same old for a spy, honestly."

"So, a crime boss, huh? Why is the agency interested in a crime boss?" You ask, knowing this was more police business than your own.

Opening the brief case and pulling out the manilla folder, he opens it, pointing to a bald, ugly Italian man. "Giuseppe Bianchi. a local crime lord, has
some sensitive files he got from raiding a warehouse down on first and fortieth. Unfortunately for him, that information is something that would make a
friend of the Agency very angry, should they find it. We need to find it first."

Setting it down on the nightstand, you continue to read the file, on this mafia man.

Name/Alias: Giuseppe Bianchi

Known Ascociates: Upper New York Mafia, PTA.

*cliff note from Alexander: Not much is know about him, as agency resources normally go to catching bigger fish than a mafia thug, but it is known that he's a made man by day, and loving father by night. Almost like an urban superhero, except without any powers, and with a soccermom minivan instead. He works primarily out of the Brooklyn area. Or at least we think he does.

You continue to read on, shopping records, suspected crimes, none of which actually came to fruition as witnesses normally disappeared, and a few other miscellaneous things about the guy. Looks like quite the problem on paper.

All the relevant info.

[X] Sneak into the warehouse and see what you can find.

We aren't a good sneak

I would rather not go and sneak around while we're drugged. We might give ourselves away.

[X] Wait for the drug to wear off.
-[X] Observe and listen as much as possible.

Sure, makes sense

"And it's not idiotic. It's sensible. When you're testing someone you haven't seen in upwards of four years, what's the best way to see if they're still competent? By going straight for the jugulars. Alex needs me, and he wants to see if I'm still capable of defending myself. I may be old, but I'm not senile. Am I correct?"
I am sorry, but every time I read this I get so angry. Combat ability is not the be all, end all for a spy, hell, it is one of the least important skills. A good spy shouldn't even need to fight. Even if he was rustly, their are lots of uses for old men with spy training. If he actually wasn't good enough, he would have just killed a valuable asset. That isn't even considering that accidents do happen, even with experienced combatants in the prime of their lives. Finally, a one on one knife fight is a bad way of determing useful combat skills, because the enemy tends to have guns, or at the very least, tends not to be a knife fighting duelist. Multiple enemies is likely, if you end up in a knife fight. Just, ugh.

It's not about determining their abilities, per se, but instead determining their ability to expect the unexpected, and react quickly to a situation. Which in that line of business, is much more important than being proficient with a gun or a knife. Corporate spies are a definitive example of this, as they're required to deal with things quickly, and without bloodshed. And it wasn't just Alexander testing James to see if he was still rusty. Alex would most definitely killed James had he been given the chance.

Then why use a lethal weapon?

It's a spy thing, you wouldn't get it. And he's trying to test him to see if he's still sharp enough mentally to be of use to him, not straight up assassinate the old man. There's too much at stake for him to kill a useful asset. At least at the moment.

Guys, let's just let go of the spy thing and concentrate on what we should do.

[X] Listen to him first and decide later on what to do.
-[X] Ask for medicine that gets rid of the damn drug in your system.

[X] Listen to what he has to say first then decide later on.
-[X] Ask what you were drugged with and when it will wear off.

Meh, we can decide if we're up to it after he's done.

Yes! And they are very trustworthy people to even ask for one! Seriously though, thanks for pointing that out.
