Dawn Island, East Blue
Hidden in the shadows of the rubbish and refuse of the city of Goa, a man prowled unseen by his future prey. The night and his dark robes and mask aided him greatly in his attempt to hide in the shadows.
Slightly shaking my head, albeit limited by my mask, I refocused on my targets ahead of me instead of getting lost in thought. Three men and two women, their faces filled with pain and despair, who were scavenging the local debris looking for anything to get on with their lives.
This scene was extremely common here in this slum in the foothills of Goa city. The city of the poor and exiled, the city that would one day burn down at the behest of Goan nobles.
I didn't remember if the city had a name but I didn't think it important, after all I intend to get off this island very soon and put out to sea and sail into the unknown, like anyone in this world.
Returning my attention to the group of scavengers, I noticed that they had started to separate and move away from each other, isolating themselves and making my job easier. Good.
I quickly and silently approach the first of my victims, without abandoning the shadows that protect me from view, and even before anyone notices it I place my hands on my victim's mouth and temple. He tries to free himself, fight and finally ask for help, but it's all useless my strength overcomes this simple being like a Sea King does with a ship.
Once I was sure I had a firm enough grip on his temple a crimson and black cloud began to come out of my hands and quickly coat my victim and drain him. He tries to scream, but my hand over his mouth and lack of strength prevent it from making a sound loud enough to be heard.
After a few seconds I dropped my victim to the ground, his body now reduced to a creepy skeleton with skin, and immediately walked towards my next unsuspecting victim. After a few minutes I had finished off the group of scavengers and left leaving their bodies there which, very soon, would have become only ashes due to their condition.
Hmmm? Do you want an explanation? Oh! But where are my manners?
Well, where do I start? I am All For One, or rather, I have the body and powers of All For One. I know I'm not him and I know that, in theory, neither he nor this world should exist. But here we are!
I remember coming from another monod, a world where all this is just fantasy, but I don't remember anything else. I don't remember my name, my past, my world.... I don't even remember how I ended up here!
I only remember that a month ago I woke up in the middle of a forest on a mountain full of wild and gigantic animals and then I ended up here. Sorry, it was all so fast for me.
After recovering I noticed a group of people trying to kill and rob me, at first I attempted to dissuade them as I backed away hoping to slip away. What? I was still scared and unaware of my potential!
Well, short story, I discovered that I am much stronger than them and that I probably have all the powers of All For One together with the fact that my main Quirk is not only able to absorb and give Quirks, but also to absorb the energy of a person and make me stronger!
Broken? Absolutely! I care? Nah!
I was very surprised by this last detail, I've always believed that All For One's Quirk worked ONLY on Quirks and not that it could make him physically stronger. But maybe it makes sense, after all the Anime never told me much about All For One and his terrifying God-like powers. What? I prefer Anime, okay? No, I like manga.... if I can download it for free, but I've always preferred animation.
Anyway, back on the subject of… well, me! I think it makes sense that All For One gets stronger with its main Quirk, after all you don't survive a world of superheroes and become the Dark Lord himself of that same world without having muscles. A LOT of muscles. But here? I will need it more, many, MANY more of that.
Continuing my walk I notice a mirror of water on the side of the road, still clear enough to be able to see and adjust the folds on my dress.
There I am, with the beautiful dress and the iconic mask of the famous Villain. What? I like it, okay? I always liked All For One right from the start, it had a great sense of style and was incredibly menacing. But what I liked most about him was the mystery and aura of omnipotence that seemed to emanate from my television screen. I've always had a thing for mysteries, I really loved them, and when All For One first came along it was a heavenly vision for me. A mysterious and fearsomely powerful Villain with an aura of power? It was practically a dream for me, as All Might, the perfect super hero in my humble opinion.
Looking deeper into the mirror I focused my attention on the mask. I was so happy to have her.... Oh how happy I was. You have no idea and will never understand what I felt when I first took it off to see my face.
I had expected everything, a disfigured face, the face of a timeless old man, the face of a young All For One... but no. It was something much worse. Something that made me shake like a leaf, take my breath away and stop my heart as I recognized something ancient and powerful beyond understanding written on my face. I thought I'd go crazy if it wasn't for my mask.
I won't tell you what I saw, I won't tell you what my face is, you would never believe me, even if you yourself were here to see, it was absurd. Absurd I tell you!
Shaking my head I get out of those thoughts, as long as I have the mask I'm safe and my face can't hurt me.
Finished arranging my dress, I continue on my way out of the dump-city into the mountains and then beyond. I stopped on a cliff as I came down the mountain and looked at the view.
There it is, Foosha Village, the home of the future King Of The Pirates....
Well, not exactly. The village was currently under construction, the tents of the workers and future citizens of the village could be seen along with the construction sites. Until now the only building available was what would one day become Makino's bar, now it's just a tavern that houses the workers and prepares the food that it delivers to everyone in the area, it doesn't even have a name. This only confirmed to me that I wasn't in the main canon but rather in the past! Where? Damn if i know, I was hoping to have more information but as it opens the mail here hasn't arrived yet, so I have one more reason to take to the sea.
And that's where I work, after all I need money to have a boat to sail the sea and for that I needed a job. I didn't know if I had a Quirk that could make ships, to be honest I didn't know anything about my arsenal of Quirks and so I decided not to risk it with possibly deadly experiments. I have no intention of ending up in the sea and become a Sea King's lunch!
Well, there's no point in staying here, it'll be my shift soon! If all goes well in three months I will have enough money to buy a fishing boat and from there my adventure will begin!
What? I'm in no hurry! Didn't you hear what I said? I said I can still have three months of continuous raids on dump-city! This means that I will be much stronger than now when I leave!
I doubt I'll be strong enough to conquer the sea or something, after all it was simple people I attacked. Useless people weakened by hunger and disease, the kind of people so weak and insignificant that even Chopper wouldn't care. No more than that of a doctor.
They were weak, yes, but they were in great numbers. And All For One and I shared a common idea.
Add little to little and before you know it it will become a lot.
I will become great thanks to them!
