[X] Tell Ulk the truth about how we won our shield. It's no secret and easy enough for him to learn from among the crew, if he asks. It also won't hurt to reinforce the idea that we aren't an easy mark if he decides to get pushy. We will kill him where he stands and without a second thought. -[X] Then, in no uncertain terms, tell him that his previous behavior, such as that which earned him his bells, will not be acceptable on this journey. He's been hired for his knowledge of the White Lands and his skill as a sailor, not for the innocent blood he can shed for fun and profit. That means he will follow our lead and be happy for the opportunity, and the first time he attempts to go outside this remit will also be his last. All that said, this stands to be a very profitable journey, one which can earn Ulk a good deal of coin and possibly valuable contacts he can call on in the future if he proves himself reliable. (Diplomacy/Intimidate as necessary)
[X] The truth, try to keep the conversation civil and find out how he has dealt with the folk of the White Lands, hopefully that is not another tale of atrocity (Opposed Bluff Sense Motive Check)
