Hybrid Lilith/Human(Yui) DNA there. They need the pure Progenitor stuff to silence the Call.
Bah! This implies that Rei can't suppress the Call through the sheer POWER OF SNOG!
...well, I suppose she may need a big more practice to reach that level. And that method would require near-constant refresh....
K: "I fail to see the issue with this scenario." (begins pressing F5 repeatedly)
Rei Q is a Rebuild thing, which A&T is not, so Rei IV.
Intravenous Rei? I don't-- DAMMIT, KAWORU, PUT THE NEEDLE AWAY!

You know what I'm wondering, A&T split off from the main timeline with the kiss, Chronicles split off from A&T with I presume a different result of the immediate attempted assassination right after the theater (since that was where I think the split was decided by BG_Character_592 when Rei and Kaworu looked at the timeline tree right after finishing A Second Try) but what I'm now wondering, where did the Inheritence fic and it's mini-series of fics afterwards by Matt R split off from the main A&T timeline?

Actually had some ideas on this I wanted to run by @Strypgia; I'll get back to you on that.

Bah! This implies that Rei can't suppress the Call through the sheer POWER OF SNOG!

...when I first read that line, I misread it as "sheer POWER OF SONG!" Cue musical number...

(Then again, since Rei's Japanese VA, Megumi Hayashibara, is as famed for her musical career as her voice acting, she might actually be able to pull it off...)

I like to think that the split technically happened off screen before the theater actually. Namely, in the chronicles timeline, Section 2 discovered and intercepted the SEELE assassins before they could attack the pilots.

Because of this, several things happen. Kaworu and Rei still tell the gang the truth about themselves that night, but because the tension from the assassination isn't present, it goes over much better. SEELE panics and moves foward with their back up plan ala EoE. Rei 4 doesnt get the chance to attack Kaworu and instead tries to initiate third impact for gendo. However she fails to establish a connection, and dissolves due to the fragility of her soul combined with being in the presence of lilith.By the time Ritsuko, Rei and Maya head down there, Rei 4 is gone and Gendo recovers and trys to get Rei 3 to do the same.

At least thats how i think it went.

I'm actually genuinely interested to see how long it takes him to get through all three games in terms of Chronicles parts, BG. :p

It'll be a bit of a long form Chronicles, that's for sure :V
I'll let you in on a little secret: I already have all the footage I need for Half Life 2 because I thought with all the demand, I might as well make future me's life easier.
So that's for me to know and for you to find out :V

More or less. I've implied what went on back when Spencer Makinami and Yui met during Return of the Gainax; let's just say he had a key role in intelligence gathering.
And all to avenge his daughter, as well. Can't say it didn't work, eh?

At least thats how i think it went.

That's how it's going now :V

Let's say Gendo decided it was worth the risk to distract any Seele agents with the opportunity of fried fish (they'd all be dead anyway, why not). Rei 3 wouldn't realise anything was up because of the proximity to Lilith and it being herself, and perhaps we can sprinkle on a bit of divine intervention via Lilith finding offence in this shell that was Rei 4. At the current point in Chronicles, Rei 4 would be an entity known only to Gendo (dead), possibly Fuyutsuki (also dead) and Lilith (who most likely won't tell Rei about it).
Suppose this is what happens when you splinter off a story while it's still going, good thing I diverged it when I did :V

The thing is that considering how close A&T is to finishing (relatively speaking), it would simply work better if Chronicles waited until then.
Which is actually about the time i figured the next vote would happen. I mean I'd be surprised if we get through Megas before we get through at least the half way point of the end of A&T, given how long Megas was.

Well, Megas is 26 episodes long (2 seasons that consists of 13 episodes each). Since the overall run time is 676 minutes (or 11.3 hours), and that Stryps work on A&T tends to be whenever he can get to it, we're more likely to see the Chronicles wrap up Megas within two months or so, maybe less.

...Wait, i thought Magus had like 40 episodes at least? ...I remember it being that long. ...Then again that was...well a long time ago.
So maybe not in time to finish Magus but we still got a pretty big list before we need to vote for new material in Chronicles. If Styrp doesn't finish A&T first i would be surprised.

Yeah, Megas XLR has 26 episodes. If it's 4 episodes per Chronicle chapter, then we'll see it end in another 5-6 chapters.

BG's stated that we're getting a new poll after MEGAS, actually. From the last polls, about four months ago now(and likely about 5-6 months once MEGAS is complete), we've had the top 2 long-form(After-EoE and MEGAS) and top 2 short-form(Elfin Lied and Portal/2) results reacted to, with the results covering 51% and 49% of the votes, respectively.

That matches both the time frame and voter coverage of the last poll.

(The last two entries of Project G have the two sets of poll results.)

With those out of the way, that 51% and 49% will now be able to vote on other things to react to.

Here's hoping Eureka 7 survives the first round this time.

Looking at Styrp's rate of reply, especially seeing as he's deployed right now, I actually fully expect that we'll both get to the end of Megas XLR and be able to vote for and see at least a few more works (number to vary depending on length of those voted for) before the main story of A&T reaches its conclusion.

You know the last chapter of A&T should be on June 27, 2020. The date of the final rebuild movie in my opinion.
Considering that chapter 11. took literal two years to complete (well worth the wait!), that'd be nice, but... well. But! Considering that the next Rebuild will likely cause a new influx of new readers (like netflixation of NGE did), it may increase the update frequency per tradition!

To be fair, Rei 4 is Gendo's doll. Any discussion about her would revolve around other characters opinions and views of her. She herself has nothing to add.
"I will obey your orders."
And I've been trying to get KSK more screen time with Stryp, but it hasn't been working, sorry.
You'll be happy to know the opening scene of Ch 12 is planned to be a plot-relevant KSK scene. :)
Assuming I find time to write. I spent 4 hours of last night in a bunker because Stuff Happened. Iran targets US troops with missile strikes
On the plus side, no impacts here. But the day has been rather busy. I hope tomorrow less so, since I'm running on 4 hours of sleep and lots of high-caffeine tea.

On the not so plus side, I need to figure out how the complicated bits of Ch 12 are going to work, since while I know exactly where I want to end up and have a few scenes on the way in mind, I need to arrange how it all flows. So I really hope I'll get some time to plan this week, instead of... um, all this stuff. See why I write WAFF to relax?

Power of WAFF, both internal and external!

I think time to re-read A&T is slowly approaching, as some plots are rooted deeply back in the older chapters and I don't remember them all too well anymore. Considering it's a size of a novel, well... I guess I better start :D

Depends how much time I get to write; I don't exactly have most of the week nowadays since I started work :V
I'm sure we'll get through it though :)

Your vote for it helps :)
I might try a slightly different system this time around, depends if it can come up with results by the time I've forecast the end of CDE. And if I can determine the logistics of it :V

During his address on Wednesday, Trump confirmed that no casualties and minimal damage had been sustained in the attack, and the president intimated that the U.S. and Iran could possibly be on the path to de-escalation after two weeks of building tension.

Gonna be a long couple of weeks over there OP, thoughts and prayers are with you.

Seeing how close the story is to completion, I think putting the entire work into a webcomic or tabletop idea (see mid-November thread updates right before Asuka 18th b-day Omake) can help sustain interest in the fanfic and should be feasible with the range of tools that SV offers.

It may even help push the final chapter 12 edits back. Assuming that A&T has a twist or two some months out, that might give volunteers time to adapt the existing work. For an example: Takahashi manga of the Raising Project games. Note: URL link is to Amazon profile of the illustrator's completed works, and no referral ID attached.

Omedetou BG, good luck with the new gig!

But i thought we had to get through the entire list before we can add new things? I mean if the Chronicles cast read A&T great; but i also want them to watch Rebellion.

... ... ...The first part is good news. The second part i have no idea what to make of. I didn't even know they made caffeine tea and to be honest hearing that you drink it makes me want to ask if your British for some reason.

I thought you write WAFF just to get our hopes up only to bring us down cause you are AKU, the shapeshifting Master of EVIL!!!!!!!

The re-votes after a majority have been done, and time has passed, has a few goals.

First, it allows for multiple choices by people to be covered. After a work has been done, until the next vote is taken, their vote is useless. A new poll allows for them to vote for a second choice they had, potentially putting it at the top of the list when it may not have been. Some of the recent reactions may never have been picked and reacted to if we hadn't had a new poll 4 months ago. In fact, none of the last set of reactions were on the previous poll before that. Heck, sometimes our tastes or just what we want reacted to change.

For myself, the #1 short-form request for me is Madoka Rebellion. Last poll, it was Mad Max: Fury Road, but the reason for that was because they'd just finished the rollercoaster that is MFE, and I wanted to give them a reprieve of fun and craziness before smashing them down again.

After MEGAS would be the perfect time, though :V

If we were still using that poll from a year ago, then after MFE, we would've had(in order) FLCL, Madoka Rebellion, Walking in the Shadow of Dreams, Nobody Dies, Eureka 7, Thousand Shinji, I Knew Him When, Aoi, The Division Bell, and Argento Soma. (Gasaraki was also on the list, but it got ZERO votes in that poll.)

Second, it can serve as a reminder for what's on the poll.

Third, it allows new users to join in.

Personally, I would've let this poll set run for longer just for Rebellion, but then we'd never have gotten the option for Half-Life 2, which is going to be my next vote. So, you know, you win some you lose some. :p

Wait a minute, I remember Rebellion being the next one at that point. In fact, I said as much in the same post where I linked those poll results.

So either a new poll is coming up soon(which may be, considering the number of new nominations, and the fact that with these three, we've hit over 50% of the vote results), or we're doing Madoka Rebellion next. Neither option I will complain about. :D

Either I misread the poll, and didn't see FLCL in front of Rebellion, or someone's been voting on the old polls.

Well, one way or another, I would've held through FLCL (which I haven't seen still, so could've been fun) for Rebellion if it was the top option back then (do kind of recall Rebellion being ahead of it too, actually). Will be in my top options as well still for the next poll, depending on how the voting works.
