I agree pretty much with everything this plan says, but the feel that getting better movement from our ships is better
 
I can see the argument for both but personally I'd start with the planks.

We're likely to be exploring this new island more for the immediate future and more durability will probably help more than greater speed for that

True, but i see that a lack of both leading to our ship getting so damaged, and i feel that getting better maneuverability will help with avoiding bad storms and the like, while durability is admittedly better for tanking those storms
 
@Dracowitch , you forgot to remove Monument to the Dark Magi: 0/5 from the list of possible actions. Both plans are fine with me, though I have to agree that our ship's durability is pretty low.

If we were going to be taking the ship on straight runs in and out then I'd favour speed but exploration is likely to involve quite a bit of the ship hanging around while shore parties do their thing, for which durability is key

An absolute landslide. The update will be awhile, work is kicking my ass, but I didn't see a reason to keep the vote open longer.

I also wanted to ask the thread something. I've been convinced to include a more ground level aspect, and to that end I'm going to let you guys design a player character next turn. This is experimental, so if it doesn't work, we're not married to it. That said, it has a lot of merits.


What I'd like from y'all is suggestions as to what sort of Axle you'd be interested in playing. I have my own ideas, but this is your chance to chime in and potentially add an option.

I am a sucker for all the possibilities that come with playing a Dark Magi undergoing cross species communication with their new Taint buddy. As I have said elsewhere.
