A Worm in the Gulch (Worm/Red vs. Blue)

Oh god when she gets back to earth bet if tats tries to explain how cape life works (which was the dumbest thing I have ever read) taylors probably going to deck her

Dockworkers people, man. They got the mouths of sailors.

I'm pretty sure that the DWU likely has many ex-sailors in their roster. And we all should know the saying "Swears like a Sailor" is well known for a reason.

Just found and read this in a single sitting, and feel that I must say that I am quite enjoying this adventure of Taylor's. I look forward to seeing more.

Love the story so far keep it up. Will Taylor get the space marine treatment and will she go back to Earth Bet maybe in some omakes or a different story?
Mjolnir armor on its own would make Taylor a Brute-3, and the cast of RvB literally never take it off so I imagine she'll have hers when she figures out how to get home.
So. How long until Tay just beats the shit out of everyone in Blood Gultch? She seems pissed off enough at this point.
Never. That's Tex's job. Also her weak noodle arms couldn't hurt them through their suits anymore then their weak noodle arms could hurt her through her suit.
Taylor isn't a lazy brick-brain, and is doing constant exercise by way of the Blues foisting literally all physical labor on her.

After a month of that she's already probably stronger than all of them except Texas.

Also, never underestimate an angry New England dockworker, even if she's still a kid. She inherited her dad's temper and capacity for unimaginable violence, and she's about to lose it.

Actually caboose is the strongest member of RvB he's able to flip Sheila, which none of the others are capable of except maybe Maine and Tex. He could also lift Andy the bomb, which NONE of the characters were able to.
Yeah, but Caboose is Caboose.

Logic, reason, and any semblance of reality bounce off his unwrinkled, atomically-smooth mirror brain like a baseball off a battleship's armor belt.

Nice update as always, I was wondering when Taylor will use/ find out about her power?
Not for a while. The next time she uses her powers probably won't be until the halfway point of Season 3...which will introduce some familiar faces ahead of schedule.

On a side note, gotta apologize in advance. Next chapter is delayed on account of a friend asking me for help with a lot of things. On the plus side, next chapter will see Taylor meeting the woman who is either gonna be her big sis or new mommy. Haven't really decided which.

I'd also like to remind people that, aside from a few planned story events (which center on some of the more story-heavy arcs like the Recollection and Chorus trilogies), I am totally and completely playing this by ear. Taylor's anger management issues (which are somewhat inspired by the beautiful fanfic Taylor is DOOMed) is kinda sorta planned.

... True. Anyways...

I'm looking forward to the Texbot fight. One of my favorite sequences in the series. Also shows just how dangerous Caboose is. He was wrecking Tex's shit.

Due to how often Taylor is calling Vic, it won't be long until she picks up O'Malley.

Somehow, this will calm them both down.

If Church and Tex end up as parental figures for Tay, then she's also getting a sister. Not sure how Carolina'd take that...

Well we know that church ends up as Taylor's father figure (probably to both her and Danny's horror). Which I never thought I would ever hear Church described as.
Carolina does kinda seem like the older sister, considering that she basically has to act as the team mom for the freelancers...
Also! SkyRig, I was wondering, how much of a time disparity, if any, is there between Tay and earth bet?

Kinda sucks for Taylor that Church is actually doing better as a father figure right now than Danny has for the past couple years.

I also fully expect that Taylor will eventually end up being able to replicate any of the Freelancer's technology that she comes across, such as the Meta's suit and upgrades, either making an Alpha modeled after her own mind or just improving the coding for the gear to not require an onboard A.I. to operate it. Because after she learns how to use her power to get home it is obvious that she would want to get every advantage she can from here to bring into her future hero or villain(because she is sick of incompetent authority figures and will probably just take over the city to fix things herself rather than trust the PRT, Protectorate, Police, and other official groups to do so) career. Bonus points if she or her A.I. copy end up removing Dragon's restrictions, especially if they attach a fake system to ascalon purely to fuck with Saint.

new mom! taylor really needs a parental figure in her life who isnt dead or might as well be in terms of caretaking. plus, mother hugs. plus, sweetness of first time accidentely calling her mom somewhere down the line! cmon you know you want to. unless its grifs sister. tha would go horribly for all involved.
