Emptiness. Nothing. No concept of light or darkness. No passage of time for there is nothing which could experience the flowing sands of time. It is into this literal nothingness that a being comes into existence as the formerly empty world tore into itself. Storms formed of the very fabric of the universe, shards of unbeing and slivers of existence born upon the rending winds of time as the concept of non-existence becomes anathema to the world it once dominated.

You exist and thus so does the world. It is such a simple concept and yet here it caused a disaster that would have eradicated anything other than yourself had the world even contained anything to begin with. By your mere presence the world is remade into a colorless void with you acting as the anchor. Little by little it grows, the area it covers far exceeding the size of the world that had not been before and yet you know it to be small beyond compare.

And then, all is still once more. Just the featureless expanse that is your world and you. For the briefest of moments a sense of satisfaction fills you as you observe your realm and let out a contented sigh. Yet, as time passes the satisfaction fades and your discomfort grows as you realize you are incomplete and that your world suffers for it.

Your mind turns to the violent disaster that was your birth where things that could be, had been, and never were occurred in the cracks between existence and nothing.

You saw raging flames born from the clashing of shards of unbeing, warmth and destruction contained within even as they were stamped.out moments later.

You saw endless water pouring from a hole in reality as chunks of reality and nothing cut into each other, cycling around and around as water poured into the void. In the next second reality exerts itself and the water is gone.

You saw the horrific winds of time spurring the storm on throughout and felt a twinge of terror. Even now you could feel the faint breeze of it as it grew calmer with every passing minute.

Each of them called to you, as if they contained that last missing piece that would make you whole. You simply needed to reach out and grasp...

[] the Flames.
[] the Waters.
[] the Winds.

QM Note:
Welcome to an idea I had and couldn't get out of my head, so let's run with it! Welcome to what is currently called An Empty Void, SV. In this quest you are the Creator Deity of a world from it's inception and we'll be embarking on a journey to actually fill that world.

Mechanics will be based around rolling d6s with 4+ being successes and needing a certain amount of successes to complete each action. I'll explain more as it becomes relevant.

Character Sheet and World Info
Character Sheet

Nameless Creator Deity

Form:
None
Divinity: 2

Domains:
Fire (III) -
You recall the first flames created at the start of this universe. You embraced that brilliant heat and from it formed the core of what you are. You are not physical and yet if one were to describe you it would be as a being of fire and making. You have a complete affinity with fire and find it an easy matter to wield it however you see fit. Fire is cyclic, as it dies out new things may be born from what is left over.

Creation (II) - Due to your nature you are innately attuned to the very concept of creation and thus you hold sway over the realm. Given time, effort, and a lot of power you are able to create something from nothing for, in a sense, your raw power has no physical form. Currently your grasp over the domain is basic allowing the creation of what your mind calls the 'basic building blocks of a world' such as fire, water, or wind. You understand innately that you are unable to create anything with intelligence from nothingness. You have a feeling you could create the most simplistic of beings from something.

Your World

A void lit up by hundreds of stars around which a faint warmth radiates out. It is your domain, barren as it is, and for the moment it is a satisfying sight.

Stars in the Void
(Unique Divine Construct) - Hundreds of stars fill the void, crafted from the remnant shards of your ascension and compressed into condensed balls of flame, warmth, light, and faint echoes of destructive power. Their existence has tied you closer to the world and simultaneously lifted you to greater heights (+1 Divinity). You feel a strange connection to these creations of coincidence, luck, and brilliance that you are certain you cannot yet replicate. With a mere thought you could extinguish the stars, drawing power from their death to lift yourself higher. (Stability - 10/10, Can sacrifice a point of stability for one point of Divinity that lasts that turn only, the effects of the construct growing unstable are unknown, cannot yet repair.)

In order to see how well you do at a particular task a pool will be made based on a few factors with only two being currently relevant: Difficulty, Divinity, and Domains. Once the dicepool is determined that amount of d6s are rolled with anything that rolled a 1,2, and 3 being failures and 4,5, and 6 counting as successes. However many successes are rolled are subtracted from the Difficulty of the action and once that reaches 0 the action completes. Managing to achieve twice the successes required to complete an action counts as a critical and will have incredible beneficial results.

Difficulty determines how hard it is to complete a given action, the higher it is the more successes you'll need to finish it.

Divinity is one of your core stats and represents how powerful a Creator God you all are. Your Divinity will increase from a great many sources: the mere passage of time, the development of your world as you fill it with things aligned to your domain, belief and worship, etc. Every point of Divinity counts as a single die in your dicepool for every action you undertake. Starting out your Divinity is one meaning it contributes one d6 to the dicepool.

Domains are the bread and butter of what you as a Creator God are capable of working with and how adept you are at wielding that particular sphere of power. Domains range from basic fantasy elements such as Fire or Earth and extend to things like the concept of Creation itself, Time, or even more precise fields such as War or Farming. As you develop your world you will unlock the chance to earn new Domains based on how the world grows and your existing Domains can be upgraded by investing your Divinity into improving a particular Domain. Investing Divinity to upgrade a domain will permanently reduce your total Divinity to a minimum of one.

More will be added as it becomes relevant!

Okay so the Winds are clearly connected to time, not to sure on the other two though. Flames might be about creation given it's birth between clashing shards, Water... yeah I don't understand that one at all.

[X] the Flames.

Given how common time is as a defining domain in most of these types of games I think I'll go for something different. Not to mention that I do kinda want to leave time outside the divine unless we need to get it for some reason.

I think that the elements are more literal.
Flames would likely create allow us to create a hellish world to begin with
Where as water would allow us to fill the void with an endless ocean.
And Wind might allow us to create a skyworld.

I'm going for the flames, because fire can bring us light.
[X] the Flames.

Year 0 - Scattered Embers
[X] the Flames.

Gain Domain - Fire (III).
Domain - Creation (I) -> (II).

You find yourself torn between the three, years passing as you deliberate over the choice you face. It was a decision that you knew would define you and whichever you chose would become the very core of your being for lengths of time unfathomable to most. However, as your thoughts drift through the void you find the greater majority of yourself pulled towards the memory of flames.

Divinity Roll: 1d6 = (2), Difficulty 1, Failure

Time and time again you replay the brief scene where fire had found its way into your forming world. A glimmer of recognition, a once in an eon chance opens up to you as you watch two pieces of anti-existence clashing perfectly along their edges. Sparks fly, flames pour out threatening to fill the realm in its infancy, and then from a thousand angles you see reality crash in like a hammer to extinguish it all.

A hollow sensation floods you as you understand an opportunity was missed as you feel your being flooded with a soft warmth that radiates out into the cold void as tens of thousands of embers. Drifting through the limited space of your world they begin to fade and die out by the hundreds. Another chance opens before you as the completion of yourself gives rise to an opportunity.

Despite being newly born you are aware that the more weight you give to your dimension through the act of creating the greater your own power will become. Just one of many methods to grow stronger you find yourself reminding. Now that you are complete there are many things you can do, an endless amount given enough time and a bit of persistence. It is an immense excitement and anticipation that fills you as you look at the blank canvas in front of you from an endless number of angles.

It was yours. Now it was empty, but what about thousands of years from now?

What do you do? (Use Plan Voting. You have three actions to distribute across the choices below. You can invest multiple actions into each if you wish.)

[] Looking at the perishing embers you act.... (Can only be started this turn, only one option can be selected.)
- [] by using your power as kindling to nurture them. You would see the entirety of your world bathed in their warmth. It would provide you a ready source of power to draw from, one that swiftly recovered.
(Difficulty 2, grants an additional action, reduces the time between when you can act from 10,000 years to 1,000)
- [] by forging the embers into an intricate web along which power and warmth flowed. You would see these scattered flames forged into a predictable constant in your world It would provide a stable source of power ready for you to tap into when the need calls. (Difficulty 3, increases Divinity by 1, and grants an additional action.)
- [] by compressing them into hundreds of bright spheres within which some glimmer of the raw destruction you once witness rests. You would see your realm blessed with the comforting light of stars even as the pure wrath of fire lay contained within. It would provide an anchor for your being and a vast store of raw power in a time if need. (Difficulty 5, increases Divinity by 1, ???)

[] Despite this being your domain, a place you held sway and stood at the pinnacle of, you knew there to be another interloper. It did not care for your status of Creator God. Whether you existed or not it would simply flow wherever something existed. You found it horrifying, enthralling, and strangely tempting every time your thoughts turned to the ephemeral existence that is Time. You wish to understand it. (Difficulty ???, ???)

[] You know not what you missed when you embraced the flame as a part of yourself, and still you feel empty for it. In the empty expanse of your domain you found yourself calling forth fire, attempting to recreate some faint semblance of the shade you failed to catch. (Difficulty 10, gain insight into the creation of reality, catch a glimpse of what you missed)

QM Note: Character sheet updated with the Domain changes from this update.

And we're off to an amazing start!

The mystery box, it's siren song calls.

So anyone got any ideas, taking one of the first options is an obvious one but which one we pick will determine how many actions we pour into it. I'm personally in favor of dumping all our actions into building the stars but open to any better ideas.

Welp, not seeing much reason not to give this a shot.
