He Blood Wishes a Greater Reduce Person spell on Lya and Vee, and Dany assumes her preferred Mercury Dragon Wyrmling form. Neither Lya nor Vee are accustomed to using alternative forms, so this will allow them to remain in a familiar form while having full access to their equipment. Vee, Lya, and Dany all activate their Beads of Karma to increase their caster levels by +4 before buffing up.

He casts Shield, Mirror Image, Scintillating Scales, Starmantle, Greater Arcane Sight, Grand Destiny (using Greater Shadow Enchantment), Healer's Vision, Ironskin, See Invisibility, Magic Vestment, and Venomfire on himself. He uses Greater Blink on himself and Searing Agonizing Mass Fire Shield on everyone just before the group descends into the potentially infected area. He activated his Orb of Mental Renewal to heal any Charisma damage caused by Blood Wish.

She then casts a Reached Chained Greater Spell Immunity spell (augmented by another Moment of Greatness spell cast by Viserys) using Inspired Spell (25th caster level, 29th to resist Dispelling) to render the group completely Immune to the following spells: Magical Backlash, Maze, Shivering Touch, Dimensional Anchor, and Avasculate.
