Neat. How about making a few fake Dire-Wolves with this template for the Nights Watch?
Sounds good to me. Though they should also get at least one Druid Creature Lotus Leshy, or one Druid Creature Treant. That'll help out a lot with them having a full-time divine caster up there to heal them.
that efreeti mage is just a treat in terms of what we can make thanks to him.

Makes impossible to make such good stuff outside that single batch, 'tho :/
Eh, it's fine. We've already got a fantastic stockpile.

that's just this "1/3 cr of the strongest creature thrown in forge" bit that is a little annoying.

Not the amount of dead bodies, nooo.

It's ... going to be impossible to keep our enemies from completely freaking out and doing stupid shit once we take Essos, isn't it? Right now, they by all rights should be in emergency mode, seeing as we could take Westeros more or less any time we want to. However, besides for smart cookies like Tywin Lannister and those who've become personally acquainted with the power we can wield, our enemies largely dismiss us. At first we were just a pirate in the Stepstones, and surely we took Tyrosh by trickery and witchcraft - nothing they would fall for. And since then, although we've been exponentially growing in power all the time, it hasn't been outwardly obvious for everyone. At this point, however, the illusion is fraying. The fact that we can operate in Westeros with impunity is becoming increasingly obvious, and our loyalist lords will only be more and more confident. The real game changer, the thing that'll be flat-out impossible to deny, will be reforming the Valaryian Freehold. And make no mistake, whatever we name it and whatever we call ourselves, that's how everyone will see it.

The clincher is Braavos and Volantis. Or rather, the fact that they're going to swear fealty without a drop of blood being shed. Those two nations are the most powerful in the world. They're the richest, have the biggest navies, the most impressive reputations, and all of that will be absorbed by us. All. At. Once.

All the sudden, Westeros isn't safe. The Lords and Ladies, the Faith and the Fey, all of them are suddenly going to understand just how fucked they are. Combine this with the Devils that must be already panicking at how effortlessly we're running around swatting down their plans and murdering Archdukes of Hell ... we may have to deal with what we've managed to avoid for a long time: our many, many, many foes working together.

That's why we're building up the Legions in the first place. We've been fully anticipating them freaking out and acting like idiots for years now IRL, so we're preparing to put an end to it.

Ah. I am expecting Bravos and Volantis to take some time before they are ready for integration with our empire. Gotta deal with the Old guard first who like their independence.

Braavos maybe, but we gave Zherys a pretty clear deal. Once we mop up the rest around Volantis, they will call on us like they called on Aegon to lead them.

Considering the cheese-dripping templates we put on them, it's only sane that there are restrictions.

On that note, people really should stop overpaying for 1HD leshy. Instead of staring templates, we should pick a good one and advance them in HD.

It's unique for a reason, but I'm not opposed to it entirely, I'm opposed to it when put up against a Dragoncale Cloak.
And it doesn't have to be put up against the Dragonscale Cloak. There is abundant Tiamat dragonhide to go around for this, and if it comes down to it the crafting reagents can pump in enough power to complete both with little issue. You're the one who's been insisting this entire time that for some reason we can only use a Huge Aspect to make a Medium cloak. That doesn't make any sense. What, do we just throw away the rest of the Huge Aspect after?

No, I was assuming we'd get one unique item out of it.

The idea of making the Cloak out of the aspect is to bypass the "true worshipper" requirement to use the full powers as we are more or less stealing the power.

Hm.

Definetly want to out a druid Treant. Ideally an adavanced one. On the wall to help out and hold the line and stuff.

Even more so than the wolves they need someone who can take charge of getting the wall properly magicked up.

And that's what I'm contesting. This isn't a random Corugon where the magic will leave it entirely once a magic item is made, this is an Aspect. Even after one artifact is made, there is still plenty of potent base material for other things. The idea that we can't make the cloak and armor if we pay for it strikes me as ridiculous.

In any case, we have had this same argument multiple times to no end, so how about we just table it until we study the runelore and the time comes to decide on what to do with the Aspect.

Come to think off, do we have a proper list which of our plant creatures are where?
Because the Night Watch should already have gotten two treants and a Lotus.

@TotallyNotEvil
While I can't remember for sure that DP said Dany would get a better item out of the Aspect, I do remember for sure that she thinks, based on her knowledge of gods and metaphysics, that if she stole the tiniest piece of Tiamat's power and wore it openly as trophy here it would weaken the Hoardstealer and Goddess of Greed a bit.

It would actually hurt Tiamat's portfolio.

That's why I will insist that the majority of any metaphysical mojo goes to Dany, as much as I can.
Don't care about the remaining Dragonhide though.

Not all of the hide will be suitable crafting material. To say nothing of there being probably only one inherent magical "charge" strong enough to make the artifact like that.

To say nothing of the fact that more cloak is not always better.

The scraps from the project would probably make great low level stuff however.

Wasting this on low-level stuff is really unappealing. There are regular dragons and drakes for stuff like that.

Part MMCCCL: Hell's Hunt
Hell's Hunt

Twenty-Sixth Day of the Fifth Month 293 AC

"Viserys, King in the Stepstones," you reply, keeping your voice to a low rumble, the closest you can manage to a reassuring tone while wearing a dragon's scales. "An old friend of yours asked us for help."

"Thoros?" the knight shakes his head in bemusement. "But he's dead. I saw that thing kill him and tread over the body. Was that another seeming, another lie?" He shivers, as though ill again, though he does not put his sword away, holding it more as a talisman against the dark than a weapon you suspect.

"Death is more complicated than you might think, good Ser," Dany says, taking on her true form in a flash of silver. Though she is smiling her gaze is grave fixed upon Ser Kennos with the air of one looking beyond flesh. She turns to you and asks, "Have you more wishes to speak for the good knight's health and freedom?"

Luckily you do, for the wellspring of your power has grown deep as much as wide. The infernal geas clings to the knight like burning pitch, like the shadow of uncountable sins. Once... twice, you wish upon his safety in mind and body both, until at last the third time the curse gives way with a tearing scream that leaves the man gasping for breath, knees visibly shaking.

"And now let old friends be reunited without the shadow of twisted magic," you offer, taking on mortal shape once more with a relieved smile of your own. Though there were options other than wishcraft to rid him of the binding, they would have been... drastic.

The knight and warrior priest embrace as only two parted under the darkest of circumstances can, not quite willing to let go lest the other vanish like smoke before their eyes leaving only grim memory in its wake.

While they are speaking you look over the spoils and the prisoners. The Erinyes were armed and armored much the same as the last you fought, save for the artfully-crafted lead wand in the shape of twined serpents with the power to banish enchantments in battle... and the arrows: spellsteel tips on bleached bone shafts carved with sigils of ruin to upon all dragons.

5 Hell-forged Flaming Composite Longbow (+5 Str bonus; +1)
5 Hell-forged Malevolent Reinforced Segmented Fullplate (+1)
22 Valyrian Steel Dragonbane Arrows
1 Wand of Dispel magic

All this besides whatever the Brachina may hold, and of course the Furies themselves, hopefully soon to serve you. Alas you are called back from such pleasant thoughts by worrisome news from the now somewhat recovered Ser Kennos. It seems his purpose during the previous day's hunt was to ensure that Lord Grafton fell to a clansman ambush, one the devils had arranged, seeking far more than the death of one lord in the Vale.

"It didn't happen exactly like those things wanted it to," the westerlander knight continues. "Lord Grafton was only wounded, not killed, because I got my shield up over him in time, but it might not matter in the end. The attack was meant to smear Yohn of House Royce, 'prove' he had dealings with the wildlings, that he was funding the attacks. The Grafton men only have a few prisoners... I'm not sure how much they got out of them, but the damn silver devil thought it would be enough."

"How did you end up out here by yourself?" you ask, still working through the plot and how you could put a stop to it.

"I was getting stronger, able to fight the curse better ever since I heard Thoros' voice. So that night I ran off so the damn things couldn't use me anymore. See what good an enchanted knight does you in the middle of the wilderness," he spits towards one of the Erinyes 'statues' still lying where it had fallen. From the stubborn tone you suspect he kept walking when he couldn't run and crawling when he couldn't walk.

"Why would anyone think the wildlings have a patron?" Tyrene speaks up for the first time since the battle's end.

Amusingly, it seems Ser Kennos has even less of a notion what to do about a noble lady in such a place and time than he does Dany. When he does finally find his tongue and stops stumbling over his words he explains that there was a rumor he heard among the Vale lords that the clansmen weren't raiding 'right', they weren't looking to steal food from outlying villages, or small traders for salt. So they had reached the conclusion that someone must be supplying them, someone within the Vale of Arryn for ships would have been noticed, or so they claim.

"It's probably the devils stirring the pot both ways," Thoros offers, unaware of the fact that he is standing a few feet from the Mountain Clans' true supplier.

What do you do?

[] Try to handle the situation with Lord Grafton yourself
-[] Kill this prisoner
-[] Implicate the devils to discredit the story (write in how)

[] Warn Lord Royce of the brewing trouble, the man is competent in games of court, though he dislikes playing them.

[] Write in

OOC: You still have one full day left over from the Sins of the Past action if you want to look into this.
