We have IC justification too, not just the fact that we know he's half the Blackfyre conspiracy. Taking out the crown's spy network cripples their only current meaningful way of fucking with us. Not to mention the fact that we know he worked for our father, so there's at least something fishy going on here.

I was just opposing actively trying to diplomance neutral or hostile lords. Once we obviously depose Robert the people that would support us will do so then, since we'll have so obviously won. It'll also require Viserys personal attention and time, which we'll have to fight over tooth and bone. I'm content with just communication with our loyalists.

... that's what we're planning to do though, diplomance loyal lords. We're not diplomancing the Tullies, we're diplomancing people like the Mootons and Darrys, "loyalists" who, if given no prepwork, are as likely to stay home and batten down than to sally out with dragon banners and join ou host.

So called loyalist lords need info and preparation to be a useful force.

[X] Offer to cast Telepathic Bond on your party, the Queen and the Captain
-[x] Send Dany and Waymar with the Queen while you, Ser Richard and Tyene go after the legate.

@Goldfish @TotallyNotEvil @thread

This is the moment where we are all together and everything is falling to chaos. Now is together last moment we can set up coordination. Please, can I convince you to bloodwish Telepathic Bond :: d20srd.org between party members, the queen and her captain before anything else?

And if not, I feel the need to ask why not, cuz it feels like a very very useful idea regardless of any other plan made, perhaps unless it is one where we all stick together.
Done.

Don't split the party in hostile territory, people... :jackiechan:

We know there are upwards of two dozen Fire Giants and at least three Efreeti here, in addition to an unknown number of traitor Salamanders.

"Let it be so," the thought is as steel. "Bring me the head of Fajir Az Issul, prove your strength and I will set the flames of rebellion... of vengeance alight."

It happens almost too fast for the eye to follow, one of the golden torques surrounding the queen's midsection begins to burn with a hideous black flame, curse-working. Time twists upon itself into a perfect knot as you utter a word of unraveling... the dark working fades to embers.
Thank you, Fazir. This couldn't possibly have gone better for us.

This is not the moment to hesitate. Fazir had a failsafe against the queen betraying him. He is probably busy trying to start a civil war among the salamanders or outright sinking the pumice islands.

Can we please not split the party here? It puts one group at serious risk of being overrun by sheer numbers, if not outgunned as well.

Frankly, wanna collect the son, then teleport straight to attacking the local ambassador/controller/envoy

I would rather the entire kingsom be destroyed and the floating islands sunk beneath the waves, than lose one party members because we violated the prime rule of adventuring.

It wouldnt be difficult to exploit the destruction of the isles, either. We could visit other Salamander kingdoms and share the news of vile Efreeti lashing out in fear, to destroy potential rivals, as their hold on the Plane of Fire weakens.

Azel is right, the Efreeti will use the time we take securing the son very well.

Better take some risks in battle than with the plan in total.
There are risks and then there are risks.

One Fire Giant was trouble for Richard. What if Waymar and Dany, along with the Queen and her few remaining guards are ambushed by a dozen of them, along with a couple Efreeti Sorcerers?

Screw this place. We can use it's destruction nearly as easily as we can its rebellion against the Brazen Throne.

We've split the party plenty of times and we have support from the loyal salamanders.

You are pointlessly fearmongering.
