@DragonParadox, can I get answers for my loot questions?

1. How many Steel Devil and Orthon corpses survived the Shadow of the Doom? Since they weren't alive they shouldn't have been too brutalized by the spell, right? Can I assume they weren't vaporized?
2. For the corpses and the ones that were for sure vaporized, where are the magic items? Are they sitting in piles of ash?
3. How are you going to handle getting the magic items from the petrified devils? That Oracle in particular had a neat-looking sword.
4. At this point should I assume the golems were fried?

[X] "Are we not all more than we appear to be at first glance, Wisdom?"
-[X] As we answer, gradually return to human form, timing it so that we become fully human just as we finish speaking.
Are you going for explicitly dismissive?

[X] "Answer me this then: does the name "Valyria" mean anything to you? Perhaps something you might have heard from your parents or grandparents?"
-[X] If yes: "I am in truth Viserys Targaryen, head of House Targaryen. I'm King in the Plane of Balance."
-[X] If no: "I'm a ruler from another realm."

  1. The corpses are fine
  2. They had no magic items, though their boss may have had such, in which case they were petrified with him
  3. You would have to un petrify him, though there is nothing to say you can't take a sledgehammer to his ehad firstif you don't want to handle the CR 15 fight
  4. Yes, they were, too close to some of the devils that moved to support them

[X] "A bold question, but of course, we are all more than we appear dont you agree?"
-[X] "In any case, when asking for someone's secrets, its always polite yo offer your own, perhaps you can now tell me why we are really here? What do you want with this prisoner, and why would a group of pirates risk bringing a red dragon of all things to their prize?"
-[X] "But to answer your question, does the name "Valyria" mean anything to you?"

Alright.

Shame about the golems, but eh, we gave it our best shot.

Also, with the Oracle's magic items, I guess he'll just go in the Larder until the time comes to grow the Tree of the Dawn Age. Once he's sacrificed we can collect the magic items.

@DragonParadox, when the time comes for sacrifice, can we break off a finger of the statue to use Make Whole on?

No, just mysterious.

We are obviously a powerful mage, but are we a mage who can become a dragon, perhaps through spellwork, or are we a dragon that can shapeshift into a human form? And our appearance, is it a deliberate attempt to duplicate some of her distinctive features, or might we have similar ancestry?

Just transforming in this manner, after our previous displays of power, should be quite telling.

I thought someone brought up the point that the shaitians wanted the efreeti raiding to have no possible link back to them? if they do find out can we really trust these slaving pirates to keep that knowledge to themself?

Ah, i see my alias of Scalathrax Ashbringer did not fool you, all the better, for It was a temporary disguise, now open your eyes and despair!
For It is I! Calamithron the Undaunted! Finally awoken from my long slumber!

Now that the fight is over, and the mission here almost so, could you tell us how the Ghiscari-hunt is going?

Seriously, 10 Erynies and 17 Gremlins off to fight with Archons and a dragon against slavers?
That's really something I want to know more about.

[X] das_slash

No, just mysterious.
It feels incomplete.
Look at das':

I'll do an interlude tomorrow (since it would involve a lot of rolling and interpretation). I'll work on the Lya level up interlude for now.

Someone who was willing to split 50/50 on shares despite projected (and exceeded) disparity in what force could be quickly brought to bear, for the price of learning who you are working on behalf of. Thought I really don't want to talk about it on a fiendish ship. So, how about we clear this vessel of any saboutures or traps, have a quick look at the engines and generally prevent our foes break this any more than I have.

Oh, and we should subdue or destroy that hellfire cannon that is about to reactivate. *To the mage, as one sorcerer to another to put her on her ground* Do you think that a resilient sphere would be enough to contain it, or should we just destroy them?

Cuz two of those were only subdued for three rounds and it's been one, or two. And some others are like, 15 minutes from reactivating.

I'm pretty sure they're not automated turrets, so with all devils either dead, petrified, vaporized, or running away, the cannons shouldn't be a problem at all. They're part of the loot we have to split. Destroying them will only mean that we get less.

Those need crew to man them i think, i doubt this ship has automated weaponry with Friend or foe identification.
Edit: Magpie'd

@Goldfish
Since that's a very short deflection, do you want to start with the next steps?

Going through the ship for foes, prisoners and loot, securing the hellfire guns, putting some bubble-wrap around the petrified devils so we don't loose loot and sacrifice to a random wave hitting the ship, etc.
