Umm?

They are both Fort Saves and the Flesh to Stone was cast with Bloodwish so was actually a higher check than Baleful Polymorph, if I recall correctly Flesh to Stone was chosen because it would be easier to deal with the sacrifice.
The latter I might be misremembering but you certainly can't blame Flesh to Stone for failing.
Baleful Polymorph would have targeted Hero just the same as Flesh to Stone, and targeted his Fortitude as well, but would have had a save DC two points lower. If one didn't work, the other wouldn't have either.
The standard method is to use Celerity in conjunction with Baleful Polymorph. Lower DC or no, using it twice would have had a better shot than a one-shot Flesh to Stone.
The Archons can object all they want. Let them make an issue of it after we find the sacrificial altars, or the remains of victims, or the penned up slaves and kidnapped victims waiting to be sacrificed. And I think we can overrule those thread members squeamish about sacrificing the cultists; there are more of us than them.
With the way we've ignored sacrifices thus far I've lost faith. I'm not counting on anything anymore except for hopefully getting the Leukodaemon bows and the Archon-bone knife.

I'm not squeamish about sacrificing the cultists, I'm just irritated that you wont let me sacrifice even the worst amongst the slavers as well, a lot of them are worse than cultists in my opinion, at least cultists don't pretend to be nice guys while torturing innocents.

Oh yes, the human sacrifice.

Well you have my vote for that, I've already argued it's more important for PR to sacrifice them.

Monsters are not necessarily Monstrous.

The Monstrous are not necessarily Monsters.

This is a highly important concept to get across, not just for our own future convenience but the safety of the public.

Agreed the cultists are getting sent to the old gods

Unfortunately we cant with the angels and Waymar watching.

@Goldfish
1. Do we have Scintillating Scales active?
If not that's priority to survive some Enervations from the Thanadaemons.

2. Moonsong should sing something, no reason to have a Bard and not let her use any baridc music.

It does honestly seem kind of silly to worry so much about heart trees when we are about to have access to Tyrosh, one of the great "Free" Cities, aka a fuckhuge amount of money.
Like, at this point we could probably start to pay people in the Opaline vault to come bring us sacrifices or something with all the money we will be making. (this is a joke before anyone decides to get on me about it)

Planetos does not lack for cultists, or demons/daemons/devils, or whatever else you people want to sacrifice to your hearts' desire.

It should be. It has a duration of 16 minutes at Viserys' current level and as part of the buff plan I created and sent to @DragonParadox, it is designated as one of the spells that is supposed to be kept active during the invasion.

In regards to money, we will indeed get quite a lot of income soon.

Though Tyrosh will actually net us less then the post-economic-overhaul SSE, due to currently very low tax rates (put in place to simulate the effect of shitty law enforcement and centuries of magisters hollowing out the law for their own benefit).

// The difference between slavers and cultists is that the slavers rob their victims of freedom and life, and cultists rob them of freedom, life and their souls. And are fine with Planetos going to hell/abyss/abaddon.

No worries about sacrifices. We'll thin out the herd here, and then when there's only one or two left we can catch them at need.

  • [X] Plan Maximum Effort
-[X] Viserys uses Dispelling Breath along with the Searing, Agonizing, and Maximize effects to augment his breath weapon, targeting the leader and as many Daemons as possible.
-[X] Dany uses her Sign buff to set her Initiative check to 24, then Chain casts a Dismissal spell targeted against every Thanadaemon, the apparent leader, and any other potential enemies within range of the effect. She uses Alter Fortune to aid Viserys' attack on the leader, unless it is not necessary, in which case she uses it against one of the Thanadaemons that resists Dismissal.
-[X] Lya cancels her Heightened Awareness spell to gain a +4 bonus to her Initiative, then hits the leader with Pronouncement of Fate. She then targets the group with a Great Thunderclap spell centered on the leader, using Celerity.
-[X] Moonsong interposes herself between Lya and the Daemons, in order to protect her following the use of Celerity. She used her Bardic Music as necessary.
-[X] Richard activates his armor's Holy Aura power and his earring's True Seeing, then interposes himself and his mount between Viserys and the Daemons.
-[X] Amrelath uses Control Undead to take command of the Bonestorm and any other eligible Undead within range of it. He commands the Bonestorm to attack the leader if it still lives, or the Thanadaemons otherwise. If he takes command of the leader's Skin Wrath accessories, he orders them to grapple their wearer.
