Did I ever give you guys Selwys level? I ask because I can't find a note on her in my notes, I just have a note from way back as to what CR she should be if poked the wrong way and raised as undead. I could just put it up now, but I don't want to contradict myself
She is currently that most dreaded of PC classes ex-Cleric 8. No spells, no class abilities, but she does get to keep her skills.

While this is not exciting to me either, there are alternative votes, y'all.
We can go straight to Ymeri and skip Darleth/Drow/Crystal Oozes.

Here's what I have so far. She got almost unbelievably lucky rolling stats, which I guess makes sense, not many survive as a staff for thousands of years only to be reincarnated by the dragon that gained said staff. As for her class I was thinking of changing her over to sorcerer who casts from wisdom but the only wisdom based sorcerer I could find is well... this. She sure as the Abyss ain't holy. The slow healing and relative drug immunity come from the same source for anyone wondering, she just built up a natural immunity to outside arcane immunity beyond her Spell Resistance.

It'd be hilarious if she swears herself to Yss as the ultimate Fuck You to Lolth.

I mean it would not be impossible on the face of it, but she has no real resonance with his domains. Life is for enjoyment, death is what you inflict on your enemies and Trade is what you engage in if you encounter one as strong or stronger than yourself. The CE drow is not a good fit for the service of the LN god.

Given her ordeals, it would make sense for Selwys to pick up another Flaw in order to acquire the Spell Finesse feat to allow her to use Wisdom as her Arcane casting attribute.

Was hoping for anything but Chaotic Evil from her, though. Hopefully she'll get the Azema treatment and slowly convert away from Stupid Evil.

Don't we have the lore from Faceless necessary to make that Cleric variant that steals power from Gods?
She's right up there as a first one to try it, considering she's CE and that we both hate Llolth.
We can supply the buffs for any initial clashes of wills.

She's got high Wis, though. How exactly "good decisionmaking" and "Chaotic Evil" go together is unclear, but I generally interpret it as "impulsive, sadistic and selfish, unlikely to do something immediately self-destructive on a whim but also unlikely to precisely stick to a plan".
So someone who'll grab a kitten to torture on her way home, but not during a stealth mission.
Someone who'll kill you horribly if they can, but who won't launch a suicide attack against your base just for the pleasure of killing you.

I don't know this feels a bit too broad. I'm not sure I want a feat that can turn casting stats around on a dime. That feels like Pandora's box for game design.
It's not that big of a deal, IMO. There are a few Pathfinder Archetypes that change casting stats. Valaena's Eldritch Scion Archetype, for example, allows a Magus to use Charisma instead of Intelligence, and there is a Cleric one that does the same, changing the casting stat from Wisdom to Intelligence, IIRC.

Otherwise, she can become a concept-based Cleric/Mystic, or just go the Ur-Priest route, as others have mentioned.

I've been shilling the class for ages now, so I might as well do it again.

She's totally a candidate for Ur-Priest, particularly if she hates Loth enough to risk stealing from her.
Yeah, that's the one.
I second the notion, we even have the lore from Faceless to do it IC.

She might be willing to go for it, you guys would have to ask. The first question however is do you guys trust her with the... what is it 8th level spells? That class has crazy accelerated casting .

Changing casting stats on a dime is insanely broken, IMO. 3.0 psionics had that, and the same game designers who thought Shapechange was balanced knew to remove it in the 3.5 update.

or just go the It-Priest route, as others have mentioned.
I just wanted to quote it for the future, before you can fix it.

She shall be the greatest of IT-Priests, high arcanist of Server Architecture, mystical master of Techsupport!

She needs at least 5 levels of something else to enter Ur-Priest, so we are talking about level 3 spells at most for now. She will have high-level spells if she levels further and she will only do so by working for us.

That gives us more than enough time to keep an eye on her while she's reasonably weak.
