If we cut back on Herald production this month, or don't produce any, we could divert those crafters to Umbral Spies, we could field a lot of those sneaky little guys. 10 Umbral Spies costs a little less than a single Herald, and we normally turn out at least 6 to 8 Heralds a month. @Azel, @Crake, how would the Inquisition like another 80 of 100 Umbral Spies?

Sadly, Umbral Stalkers require a much higher crafter level, and only Lya is capable of making them at the moment. I still want to get another one of those crafted this month, though.

@Goldfish, dunno about Inquisition but I am all for making as many spies as we possinly can. They have proven hugely beneficial to Progress of tasks before and we have had only few.

@DragonParadox, Gith not interested in having more battle-beasts made for them?

Well, that was nice.
Everyone's back now, the main action of the month is done, now we're gonna see a fuckload of reports... and then crown ourselves.
And then start planning the invasion.

The losses weren't even too bad for the sort of fighting, I expected way worse based off Dusk Dancer's shit.

I assume the Wild Hunt got us this win, since they are an equal strength court.
@DragonParadox, are they open to being hired for attacks of opportunity against our enemies in Planetos?
Like scouring forests of Qohor while we attack the cities, or running down Devil leaders in SB (once the fighting breaks out openly. Can't think its gonna take too long now).

Not at the moment

If they look like fun hnts yes they are pen to it.

Recognizing the weakness implicit to this Relath deployed the dead at the tip of the spear, in and intentionally weak position to draw the enemy in so that the Wind Hunt shifted and aided by Heralds, Warstriders and other constructs could close the jaws of the trap upon them. The trap succeeded, but at the cost of many of the dead and no small number of the green-born who decided to stand with their shattered kin at the last.
Well. They are meatshields. And apparently they died in droves while protecting much more valuable assets. Working as designed. The only annoying thing is how many Molds they got.

@egoo, could you tally up the cost to replace the losses?
Relath thus covered himself in glory slaying two elder mistborn mages who had been weakened by wildfire shelling,
Wildfyre shells are not a pleasant way to go.

As the battle neared its denouncement Winter played its hand, weak as it ultimately proved to be, several void-wraiths attacked Nirah and his escort of nagas seeking perhaps to pay the Herald of Yss back for the defeat above the Valley of the Thenns, but their magic oroved unable to do more than cripple three of the nagas without wresting their souls from the Herald before the wraiths were in turn banished by hallowed light, and 'enough Wildfire to make and alchimist proud.
That they didn't try to mess with our undead is a good sign. If it was easy to subvert them, they would have sent someone to do so. While this doesn't rule out high-level assets being able to mess with our meat bits, it does imply the low-level one can't.

More umbrals are always fantastic. The Inquisition is never terrifying enough.

I certainly could, but is there much point to?
These guys were not a part of any established defense group, just random forces we had free for assigning this month.

I say we just slap on additional number of stuff onto this month's Forge Order - it's gonna be all about Free Forces, anyway - we've got defenses for every installation in Westeros ready, after all.

Two reasons:
1. I don't want to forget about it.
2. I'm curious how much this has cost us.

And the third, special reason:
3. Busy and on my phone, so I can't do it myself.

Ngl, @DragonParadox, the Gith segment got miiiite too rushed through.

What was their reaction, aside from "frought"?
Did they know anything about the phenomenon, from the get-go?
How interested they showed to be?
Are they sending the researchers/recon starting next month?
You didn't even mention their lack of interest in beasts IC and we voted on that one.

Not bad for taking down an entire High Court.
