Well, this was an easy to reach conclusion.

Now, the interlude where Viserys chokes on his own shadow, like a hungry dragon that gets to finally be able to eat a physical manifestation of XP.
 
On the one hand I'm kinda tempted to see what it would do if bound to Dark Sister's eventual new body.

On the other hand a weakness is a weakness and I'd rather it be destroyed than used against us.

How about we create a Simulacrum of Viserys using some of that XP? It would only cost 1,000 XP, leaving Viserys a net gain of 4,000 XP.

It would only be 9th level, but that's still quite useful, especially with some skill boosting enchantments on gear. It could do paperwork, hold court, guest lecture at the Scholarium, host a MirrorVision show, etc.

Every time I think of a simulacrum I just imagine what we did to Varys using his simulacrum. It's just not worth it. I'd rather make kickass loyal Outsiders instead.

Wait a minute. @DragonParadox, Viserys has realized IC that he can grant cleric spells? I remember it as an idle musing at some point, but not that he connected the dots that he can already do it.

Time for True Confessions of Goldfish...

Long, long ago when I first saw that episode of the Simpsons, I was inspired to collect a soul of my own. My much younger brother, who was about six years old at the time, made a convenient target.

I wrote up a very brief contract, basically "I hereby give my soul to X", X being yours truly. My brother didn't want to sign it at first, but he eventually agreed to do it if I would stop tickling him. He signed on the dotted line and I fulfilled my end of the bargain. It was all written on a very thin piece of tracing paper so that I was able to fold it up small enough to fit comfortably in my wallet. For over 20 years, I've carried that contract in my wallet. You never know when you might need an extra soul, and my brother has never seemed to suffer for the lack of his own. Now that I think about it, though, he did turn out to be a weak-willed lemming that bowed to the slightest bit of peer pressure, resulting in all sorts of trouble. Hmm...

I just want to get started on actually making the faith.
Figured using Viserys' shadow to craft a cleric would make a good starting point.

We are already working on things, but slowly and carefully. We shouldn't rush this.

The plan is to carefully create something that only Viserys can control. Inserting a "high priest" or similar intelligence needlessly risks that we lose control of what we make.
 
Looks like I was correct that our eating habits were about to become a little more diffuse.

If it ends up a faith, it will have a high priest anyway.
Better a level 5-9 priest that we know quite well, than some random person that we have to vet the old-fashioned way.
 
As I previously stated, a perfect copy or not, making anything out of Viserys shadow is just begging for Asmodeus or Tiamat or somerthing to hit us in the balls with it later.

Besides we already have too many precedents of eating things , wise or not. Viserys sees power. Viserys eats power. Its that simple.

Edit: Don't forget to add salt and pepper, shadows are kinda bland I hear.
