[X] The Reward for a Job Well Done
-[X] "Lord Justin Massey,
-[X]"I hope this missive finds you whole in body and mind. After hearing the report from my sister of your valor in battle, I am of a mind to see you properly equipped for future encounters of a similar sort, since you appear to be so eager to launch headlong into danger, best you be best prepared as is possible for the matter. I will submit the order to my enchanters before long, though I hope the twenty thousand Imperial Marks retains its value ahead of gold and gems and serves as a balm against the mementos recovered beneath your Keep--that belongs to a dragon. Well, another dragon. And that too is a story for another time."
-[X] "Good fortune in the wars to come,"
-[X] "Viserys Targaryen"
-[X] Post Script, scrawled across the bottom almost like an afterthought: "You can keep the sword."
-[X] As your part of the treasure from all this, claim the Armor. Inquire about what he might desire for any of the rest.

Isn't it wonderful for Garin too?
Nope. He can outright cast Nondetection, though it's not really necessary since he's wearing a Mind Blank ring now.

Here's what he's currently wearing;

Celestial Glamered Reinforced Mithral Shirt (+4): Armor Class: +8, Max Dexterity Bonus: +12, Armor Check Penalty: 0, Arcane Spell Failure: 0%, Speed: 30ft, Weight: 6.875 pounds
  • Upon command, the armor changes shape and appearance to assume the form of a normal set of clothing. The armor retains all its properties (including weight) when it is so disguised. Only a True Seeing spell or similar magic reveals the true nature of the armor when it is disguised.

I'm really thinking either Vaes Leisi as Duesal suggested. Ideally the western peninsula around the Leviathan Sound but that would overextend ourselves on land we have no intention of claiming (in the near future).

Perhaps even on that peninsula pointing straight ahead toward Ibben? Though it would potentially draw the Ibbish into our conflict with the Efreeti, they're not exactly close tactically speaking, it's a whole stretch of sea between there and the island, strategically that's actually a better placement too against Deep Ones and allows force projection near a civilized people.

The peninsula pointing towards Ibben unfortunately has the fully occupied city of New Ibbish, too much risk for collateral damage there.

But yeah, Vaes Leisi was also my favored choice of the three. It makes for very convenient power projection and gives us a rock-solid base agains the Deep Ones.

It'll have to do.

I need a few more votes to close this up guys.

    [X] Outer Valyria.
    -[X] (South eastern tip of the island south east of of Aquos Dhaen.)
    -[X] The fortress will be used to make excursions into the depths of the ruins after this project, the location is likely to provide unique opportunities for those prepared for them.
    [X] Build on the ruins of Borash
    -[X] Close enough to sea and mountain for all purposes
    -[X] After the ritual the fortress can guard the Demonroad, first against attacks from the slaver cities, secondly as a waypoint to patrol from against less concentrated threats, bandits, undead, seamonsters and such.

@Crake
Keep in mind that every Efreeti can Planeshift.
If they scatter, there is no reason to assume it will be nearby?

That's an inexact method of travel and many will try to scout out the area to have something of substance to report if they're officers, to save their own hides if nothing else.

Look, for narrative reasons, we should assume what I suggested will happen, will happen. The place is vulnerable enough to fucking tiger demons as-is, the Efreeti will be looking for revenge.

A temporary redirection of all travelers coming to Planetos from the Plane of Fire, similar to how the various extraplanar cities do it, could be very helpful during the ritual.

We did get the lore for that from Shaitan, didn't we?
That was a major sticking point when we were arguing making a field of death for them.

@DragonParadox, I think we've got enough votes.

I know the saying goes "better late than never" but not when it's a vote with a cut-off. :V

I managed to overpower the dreadful lack of giving a fuck and updated the avalaible Research Actions.

New ones:
[] Frost-forged: Attempt to splice the essence of Heart Tree with the cold-resistant herbs and vegetation gathered by Djinn, ideally searchng to give Heart Trees Immunity to Cold. (Progress: 37 Cost ??)

[] Reforging the Brass Bull: restore the Hadhayosh spliced together with the ship by Efreeti Visier (Progress 24, Cost 10,000 IM and 100 lbs. of Mithral and Adamantine)

[] To Curb a Dreadful Hunger. The Far-Spawn being that had once been disguised as a chest hungers for the flesh of thinking beings, but it is more than its instincts however strange. Perhaps the forge could help it live on healthier fare (Progress: 10 Cost: 4000 IM)

[] Spell-wrought daggers: Feeder is indeed a dragon, of sorts at least, by drawing on that ancient legacy one can not only create more of his kind but also grant some small messure sorcery to those who posses none.
Reward: Template Dagger-wyrms with lvl 1 Sorcerer casting
(Progress 16 Cost ??)
Prerequisite: Dagger-wyrm template

[] The Bloodchain: The weapon Valaena vields is a powerful one indeed... Yet, with recent breakthroughts of yours, it clearly can be made better. Upgrade Valaena's Chain to Valyrian Steel (Progress: 6 Cost ??)

*sigh*
Quest just... doesn't quite feel the same these days.
I hope that's just me being drained, lacking social contact IRL, and drained again.
