A portal that lead to warhammer fantasy world open at a certain place in 40k.

Seeing it again. what if a portal that leads to warhammer fantasy world opened up on a certain warhammer 40k place.

1. Tau controlled planet.

2.imperium controlled planet (feudal world, death world, fortress world and agri world)

3. eldar craftworld

4. necron tombworld

just imagine if a portal that leads to Mallus (Warhammer fantasy world) opened up in these places, and what would happen after they discover the world of warhammer fantasy. now how would the reaction of certain 40k race in this world would react to the fantasy world and what would they do upon the discovery of the world?

and the scenario would be, first there is hostile coming out from the portal trying to get some loot or conquer this new place. second is just no hostile as the portal is opened, the main faction of the location of the portal opened would give them curiosity afterall. this could be the two events happen if the portal were opened at this certain 4 place.

Given the technological difference, the 40K factions would easily curb stomp the surface world. The Skaven might prove more difficult due to the combination of anachronistic tech, sheer numbers, and unconventional weapons such as the bioweapons of Clan Pestilens and Moulder. But given that the aforementioned 40K tech advantage is more uniform than the Skaven's I think they'd probably still win eventually at which point the only difference would be how the various factions handle the occupation.

The Tau would go about inducting as many species as possible into the Greater Good, most of the Order races would fit just fine but there could be an issue with the Destruction ones. Orcs would probably be declared unsalvageable but I'm not as sure about Undead. Vampires are parasitic and innately skilled at necromancy so the Tau might declare them to be not a species but victims of an extra-normal infection and wipe them out (with the exception of the ones taken to research facilities). Necromancers would definitely be on the chopping block considering that I believe it's Warhammer canon that necromancy is bad for your mental health. Tomb Kings aren't parasitic and don't need to make more of themselves but the Tau might be biased against their undead nature, still out of all the undead they'd be the most likely to be accepted. Settra does not serve so he'd probably get deep-striked by a Tau kill team.

There are two problem cases that I'm not sure how they'd fit. The Lizardmen already have a caste system so they could theoretically be inducted very easily into the Tau's but they're fanatically devoted to the Old Ones so it's possible that they'd fight to the last Lizard. The Skaven are the odd Destruction race out in that while canon does portray them as universally awful it's not clear how much of that is because of their environment or something innate, I think if it's the former the Tau would very likely bring them into the fold. If nothing else Tau-level agriculture and contraceptives would probably be enough to earn their loyalty, add in a welfare system and you'd easily see Skaven convert en-masse.

The Imperium is fairly simple, they'd commit a whole lot of genocide. Humans would be safe (from genocide, I have no doubt anyone who resisted would be killed or worse) but the Elves, Dwarfs, and Ogres would be less certain. They might be considered abhumans and treated as such or they might not. The Lizardmen would have no chance given that they're clearly not Human and they live on land that could be occupied by Humans. The Skaven would be similarly exterminated.

I don't know enough about the Necrons to comment, though I imagine they would depend on the Dynasty in question.

Every faction would kill Chaos worshippers where they find them.

oh wait i forget something. how would the warhammer fantasy world faction react to the 40k faction anyways? what would they react to eldar, imperium (guardsmen and space marine) , tau and their allied species , and necron would be?

oh yeah for the necron I should say what if this one is from the dynasty where trazyn the infinite comes from. just imagine that portal opened in his collection world since this necron seems to be the interesting one here.

oh, i forget one thing for the dwarf. the imperium might spare them because this species might remind them of the abhuman species called the squats. the same with ogre and halfing due to the two reminded them of an abhuman species of ogryn and ratling, oh, if the imperium cannot get those ogre to their side then they have to exterminate them then.

I hope I am not upsetting anyone, but I don't think i've seen any newer threads covering this interesting topic or too much close to it. Since it was not covered I think the craft world Aeldari would likely view this as some sort of severely damaged maiden world or crone world that got cut off from real space. They end up kidnapping the populations of ulthuan and melting naggoroth before even stopping to consider contradictory data until afterward.

It depends on the craft world but some of the more aggressive ones I think might handle it very stupidly since Aeladari can get extremely emotional.
I might be misunderstanding their disposition though and they might view these as particularly weird Exodites worth ignoring barring wiping out the local orks for the sake of both parties.

If it opened onto an exodite world or into a harlequin ship I confess I have no idea what those parties would do probably not actually murder everyone though they might have an identity crisis if they think they found more shards of Eladr gods than have ever been found before.

That would be a fun start for a story.

yeah i think this would be the most fun story to be heard, with both elves and eldar interaction with each other. just imagining exodites, harlequins and craftworder interaction with the three elves race and also dwarf, along with ordertide faction too.

anyways i forget dark eldar, just imagine it also open in commoragh. what would the dark eldar interaction on that world then?

One word for such: Horrific.

Oh, that one depends on what I will call The Slannesh Factor.

Whether seeing the dark elves *not* getting their souls gnawwed on by slaanesh might show it being possible to live without torturing other people. If most of Drucharii start to think it is o boy power structures in commoragh will change real fast and real violently. I think Y'vraine proves that unusal enough circumstances can make them change. These would be very odd circumstances indeed.
The younger Eladar ''born'' into this awfulness (dark Eldar grow a lot of people and just dump them into the streets when their bodies are developed enough to stand, or so I recall)seeing an out would almost certainly become infected with that most dangerous of spirits, hope.
You might have it split into civil war several ways with lots of people honestly trying to escape through the portal.

Plenty of these are liable to remain sadists through by dent of population and having even a few hundred renegade murder happy uplifted dudes join the dark elves...or uh more likely conquer their government would be bad for everyone.

Best, case scenario which is still really really bad is if some revolutionary group of ascetics gets in and manages to close the portal behind them. That would still be terrible because even if they wanted to renounce their ways(that is torturing everyone)after being shown their own Raison d'être was false they'd likely still be saddled with extreme paranoia and would almost certainly refuse to work with any other groups in a diplomatic sense. I don't think they'd stop looking down on everyone else. Pretty much-leaving anyone to die outside their fortresses (probably violently stolen dwarf holds) unless they pledged undying loyalty to them.
Might try to destroy Nagash and some chaos lords and their works though for being a threat to their safety that would be among the few they couldn't ignore. This might get some more people to trade all their rights for some legitimate security given the tech involved.
They might let other elves in with some very limited rights.
Ultimately the largest changes to come from the large and inevitable dwarven diaspora into the lowlands.
I can't see these dudes wanting to interact with anybody other than to occasionally vent inner turmoil for a while. Oh and they'll be some small cabal remnants reaving about likely until they run out of ammo through poor preparation, but that will still be very bad for mallus.

If the Slannesh factor goes the other way.
Say If that does not convince them or if such widescale rebellions are successfully put down or the information is repressed things get much darker, the natives would wish the imperium had stopped by intending to kill them. Given these dudes have access to a lot of old technology from before the fall, they probably can pull the likely warp-linked planet into the web way.
I suspect half the planet being raided for slaves and the other half turning to chaos for protection(and even that gradually failing for them, because webway)that is literally the worst timeline I've ever had to consider.

I won't write about it in more detail suffice it to say unchanged dark eldar are rarely satisfied enough to let those under them die...and that's not a good thing in this case.

EDIT; Eldar Corsairs likey laugh at the world and probably don't even consider it worth raiding.

Another fun idea to cover might be whether genestealers could take the planet with no tyrannid backup. IDK how they could adapt to wizards turning whole swathes of them into solid iron or gold or probably not being able to drown out the powerful warp forces on the planet.

Fantasy genestealer would be in my opinion on their religion.

Empire genestealer cult = worship sigmar the 4 arms.

Dwarf genestealer cult = worship mockery of the ancestor gods version

Bretonnia genestealer cult = Worshipped the hive lady?? or the lady of devourer.

Skaven genestealer cult = the great horned nids??

wood elves genestealer cult = ???

greenskin genestealer cult = da greatest best

vampire genestealer sure going to be interesting ones.

Rememberr the genestealer would have different religion of worship in a mockery version in my opinion.

Bretonnia would be more likely a corruption of the cult of shallaya there because well, the lady is weird in terms of gods because she physically intervenes a lot. Most if not all of the rulers of bretonia have personally met her and could surely describe her and all her ways in detail for followers. They might go with a fetility cult version where they promise not only to heal youbut promiseto give you many children who can also become healers, why look they've been blessed with an already existing drug supply (tyrannid secretions) and miraculous heartniess and health! The problem for the patriarch was that if even some of the followers thought this was a warped shallaya cult they'd be against killing everyone who wasn't a nurglite.
Maybe they'd start preaching about filth and disease reaching everyone who isn't them to make it work then?

Woodelves would likely be a no go because as far as I understand it they worship the Forest of Athel Loren, how can you convince anyone to join by waving four arms about, trees don't have four arms, they have waaay way more than that!

Assuming you infected a few of them the forest spirits who are stupidly powerfl last I checked would probably know and try and kill your cultists on sight.

Dwarf ancestor gods face a similar problem to the lady recruiting problem outside of the direct kidnappings and snuggle struggl, the oldest dwarves either knew them or at least knew their contemporaries and have lots of proof that these were not just divine beings but beings that walked among them, that plus dwarves are notoriusly conservative in most fields they'd absolutley be questioning new rituals unless you could appeal to them actually being very old and just neglected rituals or something.

The empire and skaven though, promises of a greater rat who takes with four arms and lets any male who serves him breed, well that is indeed where I think you would get problems!

Vampires might have to save the whole of the empire, they do need living subjects they can drink from, considering tyranid biomatter is absurdly toxic you might see strange alliences being bought between them and many elector counts, which would again I think make for another fun place to start a crossover story.

Fantasy orks might be way easier to convert than 40k ones simply because they know how to work with other warlike races for the sake of doing more fighting (trolls, chaos lords, occasionally ogres I think) which means no instantly clubbing each other simply for looking ''un-orky' probably. Might have to use the more arms punch harder and being the reunion of gork and mork into o.ne as the convincing excuse there though, orcs don't care about their souls or how many progeny they have.

Thanks for starting the thread it's great for scratching this particular brainstorming itch

oh yeah i forget more on genestealer on fantasy and their worship.

Lizardmen genestealer cult = the hive ones or the hiveminds, or sotek the 4 arms or devourer best.

high elves genestealer cult = Asuryan the 4 arms.

dark elves genestealer cult = khaine the four bloody hands.

Ogre genestealer cult = the great devourer.

remember again that ogre are like a hungry race, if they are a genestealer hybrid, that thing would be far worst in a nutshell.

i don't think tomb kings genestealer cult could work. they are dead people and skeleton cannot be infected.

for beastmen genestealer, if the infected ones able to fight for leadership the rest would bow to him, and thus gain more follower for the beastmen genestealer cult.

Norsca genestealer cult= ???

In chaotic Norsca, you infect genestealers! Seriously lots of open chaos worshipping tribes there with deamon hosts and an ability to control chaos mammoths and other gribblies and buy deamon engines. Unless it could infect a stolen slave and get them to convince others that it was sent by tzeench, since his deamons are way mutable than most, it would probably be toast.

if a genstealer landed there I doubt it would get out without either being in chains or missing at least three limbs from the ordeal. It would probably be a bit like that story In With The Dead Men with the GS landing on kreig, not to spoil everything but it ended badly for the invader.

The most amusing scenario that again others didn't cover could be an imperial agri world, some of them are managed almost entirely remotely and with servitors.
I think if some wizards came through they likely could go unnoticed for years and simply have time to go back and work on closing the portal to this plane of what might strike them as dead men and horrible machines just endlessly harvesting.

Now thinking again. if that portal opened at Solemnace which is the tomb world that trazyn resides in. just imagine he saw that big portal leads to Mallus just opened at his museum. well, I could think what would the inhabitants on the warhammer fantasy world react to the necrons there? just imagine trazyn goes there with his army of necrons, first he scouts and also one thing for sure he had a lot of interesting list in his need to have list in the end.

What would the mallus natives would describe and react to the necron as anyways? when they see it right in their own very eyes.

Trazyn must-have list would expand like

-The tomb of Settra with him inside of it.

-lizardmen artifacts

-several artifacts from the tomb kings, (this causes the tomb kings hate that metallic skeleton due to him stealing many stuff of them.)

-please list more here.
