He was ordered to investigate the Healing Church and find out what they knew about the growing monster problem, but he ended up being wrapped up in events that he wasn't prepared for.

What is the fire and why do the knights and new types of monsters seem to be so put off by the Sacred Blood.

Why did I write this because I will and I can

"I'm telling you I saw it with my own two eyes," an old man said to a group of men and women who were listening to his every word.

He had to admit he was curious about the strange events that had been occurring all over the world, especially because of the new breed of monsters or tainted ones that had suddenly popped out almost overnight.

The creatures were an od bunch, but oddly enough they weren't hostile to regular humans or animals.

No, instead the creatures fought against the tainted ones and for whatever reason, they were trying to get everyone that hadn't been tainted to head somewhere no one knew of.

Many did try to flee from these new kinds of monsters, but eventually, there was nowhere to run, the monsters themselves didn't try to stop anyone that ran away from them, instead, they simply watched those poor souls head to their deaths.

The creatures had shown up almost overnight ad began their search, they gathered men- women and children, but they sought those that hadn't been given the treatment of the sacred blood.

Those that were injured or sick were either forced to drink some sort of blue or red liquid or the creatures brought with them some sort of crystal that shattered and either cured or heald those that needed it.

The creature's kindness only extended to those that weren't treated with sacred blood.

No the treatment those that had received it was much crueler, the creatures either attacked or did everything in their power to chase the people away from them.

It's a rather curious thing, even now he has grown so accustomed to hearing the strange beasts and beast men's grows as they patrol their surrounding area at night.

"I saw a great mountain fall from the sky and on that mountain was a beautiful palace"

"The land in it was clean and untainted, it's there where the creatures come from" the old man continued to speak

"I watched as those twisted friends swarmed the mountain and tried to take it over, and I saw things that shouldn't exist emerg from the mountain"

"Specters wielding scythe's, creatures made of bones and massive beings larger than any mountain rose to defend the mountain itself"

"The battle was amazing, it's there where the creatures are taking us," the old man said to everyone

"And why are you out here with the rest of us?" a man asked the old man

"I wanted to get my family...but" the old man didn't finish his words as the sound of armored boots approaching caught his attention, as well as my own

I watched as knights wearing white armor the kind that was so pure and untainted that they looked as if they had never seen a day of battle, and yet the men and women that wore them had eyes that had seen it, several times before.

With them were young children and elderly that wore armors similar to theirs but were either a different color or were of a different style, he wasn't well versed enough to be able to describe the people's armors, but for whatever reason, he couldn't help but look at the strangers.

A towering figure approached the knights the creature was covered in blue fur and had a pair of horns on its head that resembled those of a ram, yet the one feature that struck out the most was the creatures gleaming red eyes.

"Grr" the creature let out a soft grow and the knights immediately made a troubled expression

"Where?" a knight that wore red armor that could have easily been mistaken for blood asked the creature who in turn began to walk towards the people that had been rejected by the beasts.

He had a job to do so he carefully fooled the knights as they headed towards the back, where the two groups of people were separated.

He watched as men- women, and children called out to their loved ones from either side, but the creatures wouldn't permit either side from making contact with the other.

"Listen!" the red knight spoke to everyone present and yet the people didn't stop screaming.

"Roar!" all of the creatures screamed at once silencing the crowed

"Thank you," the red knight said to the creatures

'Those of you that are on that side, all of you have been given some kind of blood."

"I'm sorry but you can't come with us, up ahead is a town, that is infested with creatures created by a taint that comes from the blood you were given"

"If you want to settle there so be it we won't stop you, but the people there aren't very welcoming'

"I suggest that you tell your love ones to leave with us, otherwise when we reach the town and they choose to return to you, we will not accept them again," the knight said to the people who immediately began to call out to him

The people that were closed to him either charged at him and his fellow knights in desperation or with that they felt was righteous fury, yet they never made it towards the knights as a massive hammer impacted the ground in front of them.

"Grave this bunch and put them with the infected, they're not coming with us," the red knight said to the creatures who began to force the group of people out of the protective circle they had made around the camp.

He watched as young men and women along with several adults ran up to their loved ones who either scolded them with panicked voices as to their stupidity.

It was true that their loved ones wanted to e with them, but not on the outside of the protected lands.

He watched as the knights began to walk

Entry 1]

We arrived at a town that is old and decrepit, yet we were not allowed to enter it, instead, we were taken to a massive wall where a pair of massive door s opened as soon as we approached them.

The knights of the blood oath announced that anyone that wanted to go back to their families to do so but would they not be permitted to enter.

[Entry 2]

It's been a while since I have last written, but so much has to be done, we were given homes to settle into and it's almost as if we are being treated like royalty.

Hot water, as well as cold water, comes out of the tap and no one needs to use a well, there's not even filth on the streets.

There's always plenty to eat and yet I can't understand why we are being treated with so much generosity.

[Entry 3]

][][][][]][][][][][][ Erased, I cant belive what I saw

[Entry 4]

Yesterday a hunter arrived asking for help, but the knights, as well as the beasts, turned him away, not because they wanted to but because they had to, or at least that's what the knights say

Entry 5]

The mayor of the town came today and asked the knights for help in restoring the town as well as helping with controlling the growing infestation of tainted beasts.

The knights are going to have a meeting today

Entry 6]

A massive figure that could have been mistaken for a giant woman appeared out of nowhere and ordered the knights to refrain from helping the town and the people inside it.

Yet even as the massive figure spoke I never took its eyes away from something that wasn't too far away from it.

Entry 7]

today we are celebrating the children's education starting

"Entry 8]

Something attacked us last night, I don't know what it was or how it managed to climb the walls but it was killed long before it could drip a single drop o blood.

Entry 9]

The knights were ordered to clean the town and several of the creatures would accompany them

...I'm going as well

He stood in front of the great gate the same gate that had allowed him to enter into the castle, and now he was going to step through the same gate again.

He never thought that he would be joining the hunters, especially since he didn't know how to fight much less hunt, but had to do something, at least that's what he told everyone around him.

After so long he had finally been given a small bottle of fire.

The knight that had given it to him, had explained that he should use the fire to burn away any blood he came in contact with, it wasn't a perfect method, because for one he would be on fire for a brief moment, and if the tainted blood entered his body threw an opened wound.

The chances that the fire could stop the infection, depended on how fast he could set himself ablaze.

Next to him were men and women who had family members within the town and as such, they were choosing to leave and risk not being able to come back to the castle.

he had to admit that he never thought that he would be accompanied by so many peculiar being, gargantuan creatures whose bodies seemed to be made of pure muscle and wielded massive meat cleavers and wore the hoods of executioners, passed each other a bag filled with food.

The same bag was being passed around and received by all sorts of beasts and men.

The massive stone doors opened and the sight before him was akin to comparing night and day.

For as the doors leading to the outside opened, the inner doors leading to the inside of the castle closed.

Long gone were the bright light of the yellow sun, clean untainted air, bright green grass of the fields, and clean white stone streets that he had become so quickly accustomed to.

The land before him seemed to lose its will to live, the once white stone that both the buildings and streets were made of seemed to have a hint of gray in them, whether this was from the lack of maintenance or the from the environment itself was a mystery he didn't care to investigate.

The bag was passed on to him, and he was going to reject it and pass it on to the next person, but doing so would cause a misunderstanding so he chose to look inside it first.

To his surprise, the bag was filled with crystals and potions.

He reached in to take a few when the knights began to walk out of the castle and into the town he watched as the beasts, then the beast's men followed and he quickly passed the bag onto the next person,

He waited to walk forward but he watched as the people before him went their separate ways.

It was his group's turn to walk forward and for the first time in weeks, he found himself truly looking at the world he had but momentarily left behind.

No orders had been given, no instruction had been said, nothing except for go and kill those things.

He could hear the muttering coming from the men and women behind him those that weren't leaving the castle t kill the beast but to search for their loved one, and he couldn't help but stop himself from smiling.

Even now the knights and creatures were protecting the people.

The knights had stepped out first to calm the citizens of the town and the creatures stepped out to deal with the creatures that were so far removed from humans that their forms no longer resembled those of men.

Then it was his turn to walk into the town, his job will be to clean whatever is left of the tainted ones.

As he walked out of the castle he noticed that the town was a day away from the castle, this was od because the castle was right next to the town when he had been first brought to it.

He could hear the roars of beats and the sounds of gunfire in the distance as the knights and beats encountered the infected creatures.

He heard women scream and as he turned to look at the group behind him he couldn't help but shake his head, the women of the group were huddled together holding hand s with one another.

They walked slowly and seemed to jump at an unfamiliar sound as well as some that not even a child would have been afraid of.

As he walked, he suddenly stopped, something wasn't right, how did he know of the state of the streets and buildings of the town if they were a day away from the entrance to the castle.

He turned and stepped forward only to stop himself from walking as he was about to run into the stone wall that surrounded the town.

He briefly stopped and looked around confused as to what was going on, and he touched the wall to make sure it was indeed real.

However, his attention was quickly caught by a pure white sheet of paper that had been left behind by one of the two groups that had gone into the town before him.

"Be careful, either space or our perception is being twisted here. So things that are farther than they really are, seem like if they are either closer or farther than they should be"

He took the advice of the note left behind and so he carefully stepped into the town and was immediately assaulted by the smell in the air, it was the stench of death and stale atter.

As e looked around he noticed that several of the houses have sandbags stacked in front of them, and had their windows barred with steel bars, as a protective measure against the infected.

He suddenly remembered those that were behind him and the other hunters that had walked out of the castle alongside him, but he noticed that none of them were present.

He waited for a long moment to see if any of them needed his assistance, no perhaps it was his curiosity and wishful thinking as he hoped to see them enter the town safely.

He suddenly felt the hot breath of something standing next to him and he suddenly found himself surrounded by fire.

He wanted to scream but for whatever reason, the fire only felt warm, so he stopped himself from doing so.

"You okay?" Kirito asked him

He turned to look at the knight who was holding a small bottle with one hand, the fire the bottle had seemed to look as if it had lost some of its heat.

"The air in this town is laced with some kind of illness or infection, it's hat's making people see things that aren't there"

'I saw you standing there like an idiot, so I decided to help you, look if things seem like they're off, use the fire because that means you're infected and need to burn the infection away" Kirito said to him before walking away.

For a moment he reached into his pocket and tightly held onto the bottle of fire he had been given and he walked deeper into the town, he passed the group of women that were once behind him, as they reunited with their loved ones.

He stopped and looked at the victorian structure of the town, no of the city, and watched as the people walked back and forth, but none of them were natives of the town, but newcomers that didn't know what the city's citizens did or why they did them.

No the newly arrived people, simply knew that they had to survive and so they cautiously went about their days.

3
He could see in the distance the various armored knights walking, however, he could also see the beats of the castle moving just out of sight.

"What?" he said as he felt the hot breath of a beast, that had somehow managed to stand next to him.

He watched as a sword was dropped in front of him and with it a pistol that could only fire a single shot, but that didn't matter because he neither had the gun powder nor the ammunition needed for him to be able to use the pistol.

"Thank you he said to the creature, that immediately left his side and resumed its hunt.

Your mission is to investigate the church and to see if the reports that it's the blood that they have administered that is causing the scourge of beasts.

]][][

For a brief moment, his mind had been forced to remember the reason he had allowed himself t be caught by the beasts and the reason he was here in this city.

This city must have been an incredible place to live in, as its towering buildings demonstrated that not only was it prospering greatly from the ships that once stoped in its docs, but also because of the healing church present within it.

Now, however, every alley he passes feels like if something was waiting for him to show a hint of weakness for it to strick.

He walked past the bags filled with rotting garbage and puddles of stagnant water that due to the moister of the nearby water were unable to evaporate and so continued to exist and rot on the streets.

He walked down what were once beautifully paved roads that were now covered with holes, and yet he could just barely see the carefully placed stones making some sort of design that he couldn't quite make out.

He watched the towering figure of a wolf that walked on two legs that held the hand of a child as they walked out of an alley and headed towards a nearby house.

he exhaled and was about to walk up to the house before the people inside it screamed in terror but, when the door to the house opened, the elderly woman inside it only widened her eyes at the sight of the wolf before turning to look at the boy that the wolf had with him.

The elderly woman immediately graved the boy and pulled him inside.

"Interesting," he thought to himself as he continued to walk deeper and deeper into the city until he finally reached the center of or what seemed like the center of the city.

His eyes noticed another sheet of paper left behind by one of the knights, it was on a street post near the window of a house.

"Use the fire to either coat your sword or use it as ammunition for your gun, just pour it o your sword or gun" was what was written on it.

"Did you hear, the mayor is having a meeting with a couple of the knights. Folks are saying that he wants to open trade with them and want's to get their help in repairing the city because the knights brought all of those outsiders with them" he heard a man say to someone inside the house.

He listened closely, as he hoped to get a better understanding of the local's attitude towards foreigners.

"So what, more than half the city is dead, the other half is infected, and the few people that remain are either outsiders- infected beasts or a hand full of people that are still human" another voice answered the first one

The house was quiet after that almost as if neither person wanted to continue the conversation because wither nighter men or perhaps hey were women had truly accepted the fact that most of the city was gone or perhaps because neither of them wanted to continue to talk after hearing such uncomfortable things.

Still, he had a job to do, and considering that the only beasts roaming about right now in the immediate area were those belonging to the castle, he could let his guard down a little and look around a bit more.

He began to pay closer attention to the world around him, as he looked for things that on normal occasions a person wouldn't pay attention to.

Under normal circumstances, he would have to strain himself to hear the sound of his own footsteps, but now in this city, every step he gave seemed to have its own echo.

Carriages and wagons laid abandoned and from time to time he would fin the remnants of corpses, either rotting away or long since decomposed.

As he walked he began to hear the sound of people talking and he soon found himself watching a man wearing fancy clothing the kind a regular man would have had to place himself in severe debt to be able to afford.

The man was speaking to a woman wearing white armor and on her waist was what looked like a rapier.

"So we're agreed, you will bring in the materials needed to repair the city and the newly arrived people will be acknowledged as citizens of the city," the man said to the female knight who smiled at the man's words

"Our agreement says that we can trade everything from food- medicine- building materials and yo provide everything the regular citizen needs for the people that arrived because of us" the knight answered the mayor.

He watched as the two of them shook hands and as the pair separated he noticed that on the nearby roofs, there were several knights watching the pair interact.

He was about to dismiss this meeting as it had nothing to do with him when he noticed a pair of horses pulling at least six wagons each.

"Wool- apples- meat from pigs- caws and goats- as well as eggs and whisky" the knight read from the list she suddenly held in her hands.

"Thank you, there are plenty of jobs that need to be done, don't worry about the new citizens, I'm sure that no harm will come to them now that you and your beasts are patrolling the city," the mayor said to the knight, who immediately caught the not so subtle threat.

"I thank you mister mayor, but please remember we will be keeping an eye on those people, so please make sure not to hurt them or put them in any danger," the knight said to the mayor

He watched as both the group of knights and what was left of the city guard, gather around their ambassadors.

AHe knew he had just witnessed an uneasy alliance being made, however, it wasn't one built on trust, instead, it was built on threats and desperation.

4
Again he walked and again nothing happened, there were no beasts or infected roaming about, he found himself at some sort of plaza where the statues of saints seemed to either be wailing to god for help or calling to him to look upon them and grace them with his presence.

The marble statues seemed to turn a shade of red when the sun touched them.

He noticed a small figure hiding behind one of the statues, however, he realized it wasn't alone, as the dark figure revealed itself to be a boy, playing with several other children.

He allowed his tense muscles to relax as he had prepared himself to attack or be attacked.

Suddenly a massive figure dropped next to the children who screamed in shock but quickly regained self-control, as the creature had a knight riding on its back.

To his surprise, however, wasn't the strange creature that had what looked like the head of a leopard, hooved legs- claws for hands- a muscular body, and a scorpion tail.

No, his surprise was the fact that the knight that had arrived on the creature's back, was no bigger than the children she had come to visit.

He had to admit he was tempted to continue exploring the city especially considering that the creature made eye contact with him and was now making light grows as it warned him to stay away.

Yet he noticed that the creature was unusually tens as if it had noticed something that was a threat to it or its master.

He felt the bottle of fire in his pocket begin to warm as a hunter passed by him, he watched as the creature's growls grew louder and lauder as the hunter approached it.

He felt the bottle in his pocket become unbearably hot to the point that he had no choice but to pull it out of his pocket, or else risk the fire burning him.

Yet try as he might he couldn't feel the bottle anymore, un able to bear the heat now passing on to his hand, he pulled out his hand and noticed it was on fire.

Perhaps it was his instincts kicking in, or perhaps it was the influence f something greater, but he graved ahold of his sword and watched the fire leave his hand, travel down the hilt, and cover the blade of his sword.

He grasped his head as the world around him began to spin and he soon found that he was kneeling on the street, the only thing that remained was the creature patiently watching over him.

"So he couldn't stake being connected to the chat room?" he heard the girl ask someone

"Yeah the strain nearly killed him, but he should be able to read things he shouldn't and see the memories or things that are going on that he normally shouldn't" Kirito answered the girl

He tried to get up only to feel a warm hand on his shoulder.

"Easy there big guy, you were just exposed to the network and it nearly killed you. Stay down" Kirito said to him as he struggled to stand up, but lacked the strength to do so

"What happened?" he began to ask

"The fire you were given reacted to the hunter that passed by you, and it allowed you to access the network so you could at least keep up with him in a fight" the girl answered him

"The problem is, you aren't ready to access the chatroom or any part of the network, so it nearly killed you. On the upside however your now able to do things no ordinary person should" Kirito added.

"What?' he said out loud as he noticed something just outside his field of vision, it moved whenever he moved his head, so whatever it was it seemed to either placed in his eye or something had been implanted into him

"What your looking at is your health," Kirito said to him as he walked towards one of the statues and leaned on it

"What's happening to me?" he asked the two knights who were now looking at the distance.

"You came here with us, to deal with the monsters and the infected."

"Did you think we would let you out without a way of evening out the odds?" Kirito said to him as he drew his sword

He watched as the black knight and the white knight both held their weapons tightly but soon relaxed and placed them back on their sheaths.

"What were they looking at?" he thought to himself, as he watched the monster who was on high alert relax and return to watch him as his head had been momentarily turned towards the same direction the knights had been looking at.

Once again he tried to stand up and he had to admit he was glad to find that his feet could hold the rest of his body up.

"Okay we need to get back to work, so sit down for a few minutes and then do whatever you were doing before you nearly killed yourself," Kirito said to him before he walked away.

He watched as the young girl who wore the white-colored knight's armor, jump onto the beast's back and the beast leap onto a nearby roof, before leaping again and fading out of sight.

For a moment he wondered if it was a good thing that most of the houses in the area were empty because the people that would have once lived in them had either died or moved because of the plague.

He gave a single uneasy step before he had no choice but to stop walking and gasp for air.

His entire body felt as if he had been forced to do all of his training routines with a fresh body that had no experience doing any of those simple yet exhausting tasks.

He was completely helpless at the moment but as long as he heard the sound of children laughing he knew that he was safe after .......

His train of thought topped, this entire time the children he had seen earlier hadn't been present at all and there were no hints that the creature had devoured them, or carried them away.

Meaning that either the children had either been sent away or they had never been there, to begin with.

Again the children's laughter echoed and he saw them again, standing near the marble statues.

His instinct kicked in and he drew his pistol, why had the children laugh after the knights had left?

He was about to fire a warning shot, then he remembered that he neither had the ammunition nor was the pistol currently loaded.

The children's laughter echoed once again and he felt something grasp his boot, he looked down to see what it was, but it was too late.

Whatever had graved ahold of him, pulled him to the grounds, and dragged him around the plaza, before slamming him into one of the statues knocking him unconscious.

6
He awoke to the scent of the sea and he found himself completely alone, the sky was darker now, it couldn't have been more than a few minutes perhaps hours as the sun had yet to completely set.

He heard the sound of the church bells ringing meaning that another hour had passed, but unfortunately for him, he didn't know what time the bells rang for the city.

The laughter of children began once again and he quickly got to his feet, unfortunately, whoever or whatever had attacked him had taken his pistol, but conveniently left him with his sword.

Unfortunately, all of the crystals he had been given when he left the castle were missing, and even the bottle that had the fire in it, was....on the ground next to him, the fire inside it burning brightly.

"Why had it and his sword been left behind?" he thought to himself as the children's laughter grew in intensity.

He quickly graved the bottle and ran towards a nearby alley, and he nearly stopped running when he saw his reflection in a window.

It had only been for a moment, but he had seen his eyes glowing, the way they glowed made appear to be on fire.

He placed himself behind a pile of trash and placed himself close to the alley wall and listened to the children's laughter grow.

Once again he watched as the children emerged from the statues and his eyes widened, those things weren't children, no those things were some sort of monster, no, a lure something used to attract prey.

"Roar!" an unholy beast roared as it leaped onto the plaza and he found the knight that it had been the same beast along with its rider.

'Now!" the girl ordered as the beast let out a how that chilled him to his very core.

The children immediately let out a shriek in response to the threat of the creature and he listened to the two beasts begin their duel.

Try as he might, he couldn't will himself to move, as the every primordial instinct of survival told him that he was nothing more than food for either beast.

He watched as something broke through the stone house and landed next to him, and to his surprise, he found that it was the young girl wearing the white knit armor.

She nodded to him as their eyes locked, then quickly got back on her feet and returned to fighting the beast.

"Momy help me!" he heard the children screamed all at once before blood spilled onto the plaza
.
He didn't know how long he had hidden in the alley until he felt that it was safe enough for him to come out, yet as he did he found the girl talking to someone that wasn't there.

"Yeah, I killed the big one but we need to do something bout the boss before we start searching the houses," the girl said asher beast devoured a massive corps of something he hadn't seen before.

He watched as fire seemed to spread from the girl's sword and burn the blood at her feet.

The fire began to spread as if the blood itself was acting as fule for it.

"You're lucky you're alive," she said to him

"Your stuff is over there," she said to him before taking a pair of bottles filled with potions, from the blood and covered items

"Normally I would keep these things, seeing as your an idiot that nearly died twice now" she continued

"What is it?" He asked her as he watched her beast finish its meal

"....People bleed, those same bleeding people were given the magical blood," she answered him

"That doesn't make any sense" He immediately answered her, as what she had just said left him more confused than before

"You heard kids laughing right? Think about it, this place was a place where kids could play where everyone could see them, and a monster brought or created by spilled human blood" she answered him before jumping onto her beast

"Do me a favor would you, something to pay me back for saving you twice now."

"You see there's a church not too far from here go ook around and tell anyone of use about what you find inside it. Don't worry once one of us knows something the rest of us will know it too" she said to him before the beast leaped on top of the houses and vanished out of sight

He knew that if anything he should heed the girl's petition after all he did owe her that much, but first, he needed to write down what had just happened, lest he forgets to add it to his report.

][][][][ report entry 1 ]
I have entered the city of Yharnam, however, I find myself constantly being overwhelmed.

First are the illusions at the entrance to the city, which left me completely unable to distinguish things from them to what is going on in the real world.

I have yet to encounter many monsters, yet those that do, seem to leave things touched by the fire of the knights well enough alone. I know this because something attacked me, yet it left the bottle containing the fire and a sword that I accidentally empowered with the contents of the bottle.

I suspect that someone or a group of people have been sacrificing humans to something to enact some sort of ritual.

Judging by the words a knight said to me after she killed a monster.
][][][[][

He graved his head as he walked towards the church, yet he stopped just outside of it, to look at his reflection in one of the church's windows, and to his relief, he found that his eyes weren't glowing anymore.

He heard a loud explosion in the distance and he soon felt the ground shake, as he watched a pillar of fire shoot its self into the sky and he suddenly felt an agonizing pain spread inside his head.

He had to use all of his will to stop himself from graving his head because of the pain.

Yet he was glad he hadn't closed his eyes in an attempt to alleviate the pain because he noticed several of the knights jumping from building to building and heading towards the pillar of fire.

7
Whatever the pillar was, he guessed it must have been either a kind of distress signal or some sort of weapon, judging by how the knights reacted to it.

Still, he knew that for the moment he both lacked the skill and weapons needed to be of any use in a fight, so he decided to enter the church, however as he approached the entrance to it, he noted its size and knew that this was a place of worship but it wasn't a church.

It was or is a cathedral, meaning that a Bishop ran it, he understood two things from this, on one hand, the girl that asked him to explore the building either wasn't particularly caring about religion or she simply didn't know the difference or perhaps she didn't care because of her duty was much more important for the moment.

Even before he entered the cathedral he could smell the lingering scent of spices in the air as they were being burned, yet as he opened the grand doors leading into the cathedral he found that it was empty with only a few candles burning here and there.

"Hellow," a man said to him as he walked in

"Where is everyone?" he asked the man who was kneeling on the floor making sure that the spices burned

"I'm the only one, there were once many that came here to worship and pray but there all gone now," the man said with a sad tone in his voice

"Tell me are you a hunter?" the man asked him
"Yes and no" he answers

"I...I see. Can I ask you for something, if you can and you find some people that remain untouched by the plague or the scourge tell them it's safe here, the spices keep the monsters away" the man said to him as he turned and walked out of the cathedral

He stopped for a moment when a strange horse pulling a carriage stopped in front of him before the carriage doors opened and several women and children quickly exited it and ran towards the cathedral.

There was no one controlling the horse, the beast somehow knew where to go.

"The knights said that this was a safe place," a woman said to him even as the rest of the group ran past them

"I was told the spices keep the monsters away" he answered her and the woman immediately followed aft the rest of the group

As he watched them enter the cathedral, he asked himself whether one or a few of the knights had arrived at the cathedral before him, yet if that was true then why had the girl asked him to investigate it.

Then he remembered the girl's words, "once one of us knows something, we all will know it"

he began to walk again but then a thought entered his mind, almost as if something or someone had placed it there for it was not entirely his own.

How much time had truly passed, because even if the knights had suddenly learned what he knew, how had they gathered a group of twenty people in such a short amount of time?

He stopped walking at the edge of a hilled road and watched the sunset, and he felt the pain spread again, yet it didn't hurt him anymore, no the pain seemed to remove something that shouldn't have been there as it relieved him of some sort of .....

His mind stope working for a moment as he watched skeletal figures emerge from the ground, he began to look around and he noticed his reflection once again his eyes were glowing.

He could see strange creatures looking watching him from a distance, yet he could see red figures inside some of the houses, somehow he knew that these were regular people, how did he know this, of that he didn't know.

He noticed a slight glow on his hip and as he drew his sword he saw the blade burning once again, but the fire was dim and it seemed as if it was about to be put out.

He heard the snarling of a beast and judging from past experiences he believed the sound came from one of the bests that were in alliance with the castle, unfortunately, he was wrong as he turned and saw a decomposing wolf-like being charging straight at him.

He rolled to his left in an attempt o avoid the creature and in an act made up of adrenaline and skill, he quickly staved and slashed away at the creature until; it fell dead.

He felt something pull at his sword and he watched as the sword seemed to drink the blood of the beast, making its fire glow brighter with each passing second.

He had a mission to do, but judging by the things he had encountered, it was better if he made sure that the people in the houses knew about the cathedral and so he began to knock on each door or window.

Some were grateful others told him to go away, it didn't matter if the people died, he just wanted an excuse to tell himself if they ended up dead later on and he wouldn't be forced to ask himself would they have lived had I told them?

He watched over those that listened, most were newcomers that had arrived recently to the city, but there were a few that were natives to the city.

His instincts warned him that the beasts hiding in the shadows were about to attack, yet he listened to them scream as shadows created by fire came and went in a second.

The city was truly being fought over, and each side was trying to lay claim to it.
