A Heretek on the Quest for Knowledge [40k] [Complete]

-[] order some maintenance. Maybe you can get something out of it (1 locked per week)
If I'm reading this right, we have to take two of those per turn, turn are two-weeks. Do we?
And anyways, burdening your magnificent intelligence with menial mass-producing tasks is plain stupid, so we're not putting any amount of genuine enthusiasm into it. I say we do it half-ass and probably miss the deadline.

Good catch. I really want to say yes, that's intentional and you need 2 actions. But ultimately this quest is not about that kind of shenanigans, so no, that's just a remnant of the turn-length being one week until I decided that would mean way too quick warp travel. That, plus finding your own errors is tricky.

Feel free to make your own plan. I'm honestly a little miffed about the lack of discussion so far.

[X] Plan Procrastinate

[X]Week 3+4
-[X] Naw, you'll do something else - order your half-idiot assistant to make some Las-cannon on his own (I expect that to be worth the same 26 Las-cannons, if not, swap fixing the door with one more lascannon making).
-[X] Naw, you'll do something else - personnally get your hands dirty upgrading the facility
-[X] order some maintenance. Maybe you can get something out of it (1 locked per week)
-[X] have them built some of the easier parts of the lascannon. Means you'll save some time.
-[X] have them upgrade the facility

Okay, your half-idiot assitant is actually 3/4 idiot. Couldn't make even twenty of those lascannons. And they are ugly, like, smooth forms, fins, feathers engravings. Who even does that? Genetors? Obvously he's asking for a little mentoring. Also that door needs to be fixed once and for all and you don't know how to do that. Time to learn.

[X]Week 5+6
-[X] your second has proven to be acceptably useless. Maybe you can make him even less useless (Imperial tech? Lastech? whatever works for cannons).
(Also have a fit that he's working so slow)
-[X] you should brush up on your skills. Ever higher, even if the local facilities represent a plasteel ceiling. But you can definitely rise up in [Repair]
-[X] order some maintenance. Maybe you can get something out of it (1 locked per week)
-[X] have them upgrade the facility
-[X] have them built some of the easier parts of the lascannon. Means you'll save some time.

Okay, those las-cannons are not done yet and you've hit the deadline. Time to start working.

[X]Week 7+8
-[X] make some lascannons. You now have some help, but that order is still gonna take a while. Better get started. (can be taken multiple times, 26 cannons per action)

-[X] have them built some of the easier parts of the lascannon. Means you'll save some time.
-[X] have them try to be less awful. Man can dream, right?

Okay, that work was actually fun. You just have to finish. And fix that freak of a door.

[X]Week 9+10
-[X] make some lascannons. You now have some help, but that order is still gonna take a while. Better get started. (can be taken multiple times, 26 cannons per action)
-[X] Naw, you'll do something else - personally fix that door. Or get rid of it. You'll have a bedroom/workshop studio. Oh, and you'll need some plumbing to install a watercloset in there.
-[X] order some maintenance. Maybe you can get something out of it (1 locked per week)
-[X] have them upgrade the facility
-[X] order a thorough inspection of the ships plumbing. It won't help anything, but it'll make you feel better.

Okay, time to relax.

[X]Week 11+12
-[X] you don't know anything about making fleshy monsters. Or just flesh. That is unacceptable. Get your Genetor (at some point you probably should look his name up) to teach you. You don't think he would enjoy it much, though.
-[X] Naw, you'll do something else - install remote controlled explosives into whatshisname's mechanodendrites. You've put too much of your own time into that guy. You won't let him just walk away like they always do.
-[X] order some maintenance. Maybe you can get something out of it (1 locked per week)
-[X] have them make neatish stuff. Always useful
-[X] see if you can swap some out for less awful dudes.

[X]Week 13+14
-[X] you learn something new everyday. Now, you'll try to learn about Math
-[X] you learn something new everyday. Now, you'll try to learn about Hacking
-[X] order some maintenance. Maybe you can get something out of it (1 locked per week)
-[X] have them try to be less awful. Man can dream, right?
-[X] have them upgrade the facility

UPD: added failsafe explosives.

I see our character as more of a 'if you want to do something right' kind of guy along with 'here's your shinies now stop bothering me!'

Nah, that would be stupid. When you work fast they just pile up more work on you, that's bureaucracy 101. You have to be annoying and irreplaceable, then they mostly leave you alone.

but then what would be more annoying more work with farther deadlines or more people bothering you asking when the work be done?

Also, most likely we won't have any spare time. Even with your plan we can miss the deadline. And you'll probably win the vote anyway, too many of us had already voted for it.

I like how much personality you put in. And there was talking! Maybe I don't need to add an Echo Chamber tag quite yet.
Good trick against bandwagoning is separating planning and voting. It won't work without annoyingly active player base, though, so I wouldn't try it at this stage.
hmmm should I just copy and paste your plan under my plan name? jk
Of course you should. We're doing Adeptus Mechanicus quest, I'm surprised we haven't started plagiarizing each other from the first page.

let me ask first, does everyone want to keep my plan the same or copy and paste over vsh's plan instead?
