A Game of Supers (The Gamer/Original Superhero Setting)

This was an awesome update, now to do my part in standing strong against the obsession with short women.

[x] The brunette.
[x] Amelia.

[X] The short one.
[X] Fernanda.

Fernanda to the short one:"You thought you were the sexiest person here. But then I show up!"

Okay, I'll give you a few things. The blonde one seems unsure of herself and appears to be on the backstep. The short one has a visible knife strapped to her leg. And the brunette seems like the most self-assured of the three, just from the way she is leaning back into a wall instead of standing stiffly.

If this is our group I suppose us starting the introductions will set the tone. Talking to the most assured first, rather than the flighty blonde or overcompensating knife wielder, would be best. Talking to the blonde seems too much like sticking with the least noticeable, sort of defensive whereas the knife wielder could be interesting but I could imagine the brunette striking up her own conversation. Getting in ahead and engaging with the brunette though, would have attention on us being decisive and proactive and would work as a decent powerplay (which I think we want here?).

If we go for the blonde we can maintain our power-behind-the-throne archetype, slowly eroding away at the hierarchy while seeming subservient and whatnot.

It requires us to play the long game, but if we pull it off, we'll be in an excellent position moving forward.

How is she overcompensating? We probably have a knife as well. If not several. Is it just because the knife is visible?
Yep, that's my first impression. Visible knife seems a statement, especially with their height (Napoleon complex)

We may want to play power behind the throne but that shouldn't dictate our actions here. Not standing out in a small group of mooks is too low key. Standing out in the gang proper is wise to avoid but if we're starting a powerbase, here is a good place to start.

Hmm. How about a nice middle ground? We go for the fighter instead of the confident one, so there's at least an air of competency around us as we move forward?

That could work but we have already made abundantly clear our level of competence and ambition with our thefts. Conceding leadership of such a small group might seem odd unless someone else worth respecting steps up. To be fair, we don't even need to immediately make a play for being in charge. Wait and see approach would work fine too.

None of the stuff we did showed we had any interest in leading. We are ambitious, but not all ambition is the "i want to be in charge" type.

Agreed. This is a four woman cell that will be performing missions together though. We haven't shown ourselves to be powerhungry but our competence would suggest we'd be willing to take control unless someone else could do a decent job.

Again, not really. The only thing we showed competence with is theiving. We might be a terrible people person, preferring to work on our own rather than with people.

We could show competence with people NOW, but we have not yet.

What we've done is show that we're an overachiever. Like any overachiever it would then logically follow that when stuck with less competent peers we'd push for the job to be done right. Whether we'd manage to push the group to victory, fail or do it ourselves is debatable but it would be fitting that we strive for success rather than passively let things happen as they may.
