The Skywalker Clans
Members of the Skywalker Clan (Not Pictured: The Other Thirty Seven Bastard Skywalkers or Piles of Ill-Gotten Loot)
---
Descendants of the Pirate Queen G'Win and her erstwhile lover, the General Anakin Skywalker, the Skywalkers are a sprawling group at this point in history, a family of notorious rogues, pirates, renegades, and sand-hating force-sensitives divided up into various clans as the family continues to expand and acquire territory here and through by both design and by accident. Calling the world of Issagra their home, for it is where the reigning Pirate King or Queen reigns from, the Skywalkers of the eponymous stretch of space, which took their name after people got tired of trying to discern between the various Skywalkers and just called the entire region Skywalker Space, the Skywalker Clans continue to be a troublesome bunch, given over to piracy, smuggling, and all other manners of criminal pursuits. Though they are often disorganised and prone to infighting, whether over people, money, or shiny new ships, they remain an ever present fixture in the region and the Galaxy at large, a dynasty that has abandoned their status as the Chosen Ones in favour of wine, women, and song all acquired on someone else's credits.

The Naboo Empire
Ruwee IX "The Force-Touched" Naberrie, King of Naboo, Sovereign of the Naboo Empire, Master of Kalinda, Kira, and Kerkodia, Protector of Pax, Prince of Arrgaw, and ZeHeth, Defender of Malastare and the Lesser Systems, Breaker of the Yellow Fleet, Lord-General of the Order of Naboo Knights, and the Stalwart Shield of the Realm
---
Like so many other systems, Naboo would be one of many that would break away from the New Republic as war, ideology, and fear drove worlds away from Eriadu and forced them to fend for themselves in order to survive in an increasingly dangerous and divided galaxy. Unlike other systems, however, Naboo did not choose to chase after peace nor think to band together with other worlds to secure it's independence but instead chose conquest to guarantee it's place in the galaxy, leading war after war to subdue surrounding systems all the while fending off the Galactic Republic. Led by the Naberrie Dynasty, which seized power under Queen Amidala II in a vicious coup centuries ago, Naboo remains one of the more contentious foes to the Second Galactic Republic, an empire ruled by multiple dynasties of force-sensitive knights, whose transgressions are often overlooked solely because Naboo remains among the foremost opponents to Republican expansion and because few other surrounding systems can match it's strength in a fair fight if they chose to question Naboo's tactics.2

Endor
The Dark Lord of the Ewoks
---
Between the Empire and the Imperium, the New Republic and the Second Galactic Republic, the Ewoks of Endor have experienced a significant amount of pain and suffering. Fought over like chips on a table, the Ewoks were passed to and fro, subjected to all manner of unnerving tests and trial, and over the centuries, the once amiable mammals lost sight of their once noble origins. Making use of significant amounts of Ssi-ruuvi technology and equipment left behind during the heady days of the Galactic Civil War, the Ewoks would unite and carve out for themselves a small slice of space where they and they alone were the oppressors and the tyrants. Ruled by a secretive cabal of force-sensitive warlocks, the Ewoks now have a reputation is deadly shaman, vicious warriors, and monsters unparalleled throughout the galaxy, sadists who took a special sort of pleasure in ripping out the souls of their victims and using them to power their war machines. They're also still pretty cuddly so I guess that's a point in their favour though.3

The Kingdom of Onderon
King Vaklu IX of Onderon
---
Abandoned by the Galactic Empire and fought over by various factions, Onderon's return to prominence is a recent thing borne out of necessity with the ancient world taking a much more active role in Galactic affairs but a mere century ago in response to ongoing feuds in and around Onderonian Space. Currently ruled by King Vaklu the Ninth, a hulking fusion of flesh and cybernetics who took the throne after leading a rebellion against the previous, tyrannical Sith leadership, Onderon stands as a new power in the Galaxy, an ambitious power, and one that is not above allying and betraying whoever is necessary to secure it's ascension. Unlike many other powers, however, Onderon has no native force-order to support it, aside from the Knights of Ren who maintain a presence on Onderon, and instead relies heavily upon augmented soldiers to compete with other, larger powers with scores of force-sensitives at their beck and call. This has, as a result, caused Onderon to develop a reputation as sentients who gleefully shed flesh for machine and who field soldiers who have replaced limbs, eyes, and even internal organs in the hopes of improving their combat prowess.4

The Vandelhelm Pact
President Sinsan of the Vandelhelm Pact
---
Precisely when the systems that now make up the Vandelhelm Pact parted with the Second Galactic Republic and the circumstances behind this parting is a matter of some contention, some put it at less than a century, others at two, but for those within the Pact, the when and why is considered irrelevant. Formed to protect it's constituent systems against the depredations of the New Republic, which often sought to crush local traditions and subvert governments in order to make them comply with Republican dogma, the Vandelhelm Pact is one of the stabler and more charming states in the Galaxy. Ruled by the Executive Council, which is formed out of representatives dispatched by each member systems, and led by President Sinsan, the Vandelhelm Pact is a state that has managed to balance the need for defence with it's desire for freedom and liberty. Citizens of every race and make wander the streets of Vandelhelm without fear of oppression, organisations such as the Jedi are banned due to their longstanding association with tyranny, and the Pact stands as a just and fair state ever eager to protect and to shepherd in the face of oppression.5

The Cereans and their Allies
General Ki-Mer-Shael
---
Initially taking up arms in response to an unauthorised attempt to forcefully induct Cerea into the Second Galactic Republic, official records, at least, back up this stance though it nevertheless remains a murkier part of Republican history, the Cereans have come a long way from their once peaceful roots on the edge of civilised space. Extending protection to a handful of systems and dealing with both the Galactic Republic and the Ewoks, the Cereans have crafted for themselves a tradition of warfare, raising up a caste of dedicated warriors, often talented in the Force, who have made it their life's work to protect Cerea and it's allies from all comers. For those Cereans who take up arms, it is a bitter but rewarding life, with many years spent away from home and their many wives, the average warrior is afforded at least six honour-wives to keep up numbers, while for Cerea's allies, it is a cheap alternative to maintaining their own fleets with each system choosing to contribute credits and resources rather than fight themselves.6

The Barony of Belderone
Protector Kallatatha
---
Established two centuries ago as a compromise between several factions warring over Columex and Belderone, the Barony of Belderone is neither a monarchy nor a state centered around Belderone with it's seat lying at Columex and it's leader being a former Wookie mercenary named Kallatatha. Leading a six thousand strong band of Wookie mercenaries, Kallatatha rules over a small and precariously positioned state coveted by all it's neighbours, one of the few independent shipyards in the Northeast, and the former heart of an Imperial Oversector. In spite of this poor start, however, the Wookie Protector has done well these past few decades, successfully navigating the treacherous political currents and ensuring that the Barony remains quiet and stable, using the growing number of Wookies in the Barony to maintain order to deal with pirates and smugglers that trouble the tiny power. In spite of this, few can say with some confidence that Kallatatha's policy of neutrality will be able to last forever with Columex's neutrality often finding itself threatened whenever one neighbour or another grows too powerful and begins to covet the Columex Shipyards once more.7

The Many Hutts and Crimelords of the Periphery
Hutts of the Periphery
---
While the Hutt Empire may have contracted and reformed into a more manageable shape, this does not mean that the influence of the Hutts withdrew with it. Falling into a vast expanse of space colloquially referred to as the Periphery, a territory that stretches from Saleucami to as far south as Tatooine, are dozens, if not hundreds, of Hutts, Gangsters, Crimelords, and Pirate Kings who all pay lip service and tribute to the Supreme Mogul even if they are not directly controlled by the Empire itself. Though these territories are disunited and often feud amongst themselves over territory, profits, and more, they remain a vital part of the Hutt Empire's expansive tribute system and also as a valuable outlet for young Hutts, often in their third or fourth centuries of life, seeking an outlet for their passions. Among the most influential figures in the Periphery, as of the modern date, is Jabba the Younger, grandhutt of the more famous Jabba, who controls the Iron Legion, an army of warrior Hutts who extract tribute for the Supreme Mogul, and Kleeduk the Hutt, Lord and Master of Boonta, who holds significant influence in the surrounding systems.8

The Echani
An Echani Peacekeeper
---
Forgotten by the Empire and the Republic due to their distance from major hyperspace lanes and the general lack vital resources in their stretch of space, the Echani of Eshan would be left free, over the centuries, to pursue their own path in the Galaxy freed from the feuding that plagued other regions. Adopting a policy of strict neutrality, the Echani would settle for merely taking a small stretch of space for themselves and sitting out of Galactic affairs, establishing a structured and orderly society governed by the Peacekeepers, force-sensitive warriors who serve as judge, jury, and executioners to the Echani and their subjects. It is these Peacekeepers who often serve as the public face of the Echani, something which has served to paint a picture for outsiders of Eshan and Echani Space as a dull and regimented place, governed by rigid and unyielding judges with a predilection towards summary executions. Nevertheless, their neutrality and tendency to hire out young warriors as mercenaries to outside powers means that, on the whole, no one really cares about what the Echani get up to.9

The Atrisian Commonwealth
Emperor Tsching Aku of Atrisia
---
In the Core Worlds, on the very edge of known space, the Atrisian Commonwealth would prove more than eager to capitalise upon the woes of both the Galactic Empire and the Second Galactic Republic over the centuries. Led by Prime Ministers and Emperors in equal measure, Atrisia would first reassert it's independence and then slowly snap up system after system as it carved out a place for itself in the new galactic order. Although the Atrisians continue to remain as insular as ever, they have managed to establish for themselves a position as a respectable power, albeit one boxed in by the Empire of Fondor which controls their sole route into the wider galaxy. Currently under the leadership of Emperor Tsching Aku, a renowned sorcerer who killed the previous Emperor and his family, barring a young boy who vanished during the coup, more than a decade ago, the Commonwealth currently prepares for conquest though as to where these conquests will lie, none can say for the Emperor's will is not so easily interpreted by mere mortals.10

The Kingdom of Kiffu
King Korto IV Vos
---
Liberated during the Galactic Civil War by a mythical duo, known for their near supernatural ability to escape from any situation and blow up anything smaller than a planet, that would later go on to found the current ruling branch of Clan Vos, Kiffu has thrived and suffered over the millennia. Insignificant in the grand scheme of things, Kiffu has managed to carve out for itself a reputation as system filled with hardy mercenaries and keen saboteurs, a reputation the Kiffar have embraced over centuries of work as mercenaries for everyone from the Empire to the Republic. Led by King Korto the Fourth, a young man who established a reputation for himself early on by breaking out of one of the Empire's most heavily guarded prison facilities after being arrested for attempting to blow up a Super Star Destroyer "on a dare", the Kiffar currently seem set to continue along these lines, hiring themselves out in exchange for credits and supplies, much as they always have throughout their recent history.11

The Denon Protectorate
Mistress Vahali
---
Lost by the Empire, grasped briefly by the Republic, and ravaged by the Tuskens, the Fall and Rise of Denon is a tale the Denonites are all too fond of telling, retelling, and filming time and time again. Only gaining it's independence just over a century and a half ago, Denon has worked hard to claw back it's lost prestige and carve out a state for itself out of systems previously bickered over by the Republic, Empire, and the Tuskens with which it hopes to spring itself back to greatness. Led by Mistress Vahali, a notoriously fiery woman who reached her position through backroom deals and a significant amount of murder, the Denon Protectorate currently eyes it's surroundings carefully, looking for any hint of weakness as it seeks out avenues of expansion. Such actions have, of course, made it few friends among it's neighbours however as the Denon are also fond of saying, friends aren't quite so important when you have the right poison and a way of delivering it to it's intended target.12

The Gyndine Corporation
The CEO of Gyndine Corp, Jaylen Tod
---
Opting to avoid engaging in Galactic politics and risk invasion, internal uprisings, getting shot, and so forth, the Gyndine System would choose to tread down a more lucrative path than most others. Under the leadership of the Gyndine Corporation, which owned and operated the Gyndine Orbital Shipyards, or the GOS, Gyndine has maintain a reputation of neutrality and quality, repairing and providing starships for anyone with the credits to purchase them, a decision that has made them wealthy beyond the imaginations of most. With ties to the Empire, Tuskens, Hutts, and more besides, Gyndine's position in the Galaxy remains a safe one, guaranteed by the fact that no one wishes for the GOS to fall into the hands of a foe, a fact that ensures no one tries to conquer it, something which the CEO of Gyndine Corp, Jaylen Tod, always makes sure to remind shareholders at corporate functions.13

The Sith Empire (of Namadii)
The Elder of Bilbringi, Zi'ro Ayone
---
The circumstances behind the loss of Bilbringi are believed by the Galactic Empire to be related to the activities to Ysanne Isard and her lengthy succession of clones that sought to play havoc throughout the Galaxy after the demise of the original Isard. Descending from a series of resurrected Sith created by the Director as part of Project Revival, which intended to create force-users of her own to combat the Empress, Bilbringi would fall after the products of Project Revival went rogue and chose to rebel against their programming, ultimately taking control of Bilbringi and cutting down the Isard responsible for their creation. Spreading gradually over the centuries, the Sith of Bilbringi are considered to be a profoundly mournful species, bereft of the spark possessed by other races, who spend centuries seeking out meaning in the Galaxy with a desperation that only grows with every passing decade. Though some survive this phase, called the Longing by the Sith, and go on to govern and protect the Sith Empire, many do not and fall, both literally and figuratively as the hollowness the Sith feel as a result of their creation grows to the point where it consumes them.14

The Southern Clans
The Southern Mand'alor
---
Of all the Mandalorian Clans that vex Mand'alor the Reluctant, it is the Southern Clans that give him the greatest cause for anger. Breaking with the Mandalorian Empire sixty years ago over a feud regarding the previous Mand'alor, who hailed from a clan that had made many enemies in the south, the Southern Clans not only defy the authority of Mand'alor but have also raised up their own Mand'alors in defiance of him. Although the Southern Clans remain similar to their kith in many ways, although they frown upon the decided dearth of capes and cloaks, it should be noted that the divide between the two remains bitter and deep enough to put rest to any thoughts of peaceful reconciliation for both view themselves to be in the right. That the Southern Clans also maintain a robust fleet, regularly raid and fight to keep their edge, and even have their own wayward branch of Mand'jetiii who fight on their behalf is also believed to have factored into why the Mand'alor of Mandalore has yet to force them back into the fold.15
