Where Sothis recruits a dead high school boy to solve all her problems.
Chapter 1: A Mission Sent
Location
Sallisaw
My name is Ryan Hill, I am a student at my local public high school and I won't say I am anything special. I have good grades sure but I don't stand out among a crowd with my short black hair, slim figure, blue eyes, and glasses. Even among the social circles I ain't all that popular only having a few school friends and even then I often don't hang out with them after school. I guess my most stand outish feature is I am a little weird, I hear people often call me that, I say weird things and will often walk around in circles around the commons if I am forced to go there. Even then I wouldn't say I would stand out in a crowd among my peers enough for anyone to say "Oh, that boy looks interesting."

Today I decided to walk home, some days I walk home other days I ride the bus, and was at a intersection when the strangest thing happened...

You see I wouldn't call myself a hero. Far from it actually. But, I at least consider myself a decent fellow. So when I see that a crazy guy come running out of a store carrying a bag full of those green bills while a elderly woman is running after him I decided to help the poor woman and stripped the man as he ran past. Only, the man saw my foot out (I wasn't the most sneaky or subtle person) he got angry and punched me in the face so hard I went tumbling onto the street. I bet you can see where this is going..

The cars, having seen a young man be punched into the crowded street, tried to stop. But, at last it was too late and my body made a big thud as I hit the hood of a car and was crushed between two careening cars. Not noticing my ribs were literally crushed and my lungs punctured I attempted to speak only to cough out about a gallon of blood and died coughing on my own blood vomit and lack of oxygen.

...

So that's why I am here now, in a place of dull lifeless total nothingness I can only call 'The Void'. It is lonely in the Void as no one else is here and I am left with my thoughts. Not all of them kind mind you, stuff like 'Why you try and stop him knowing he might have a weapon?' or 'Could you have been a bit more sneaky?' stuff like that. However the biggest one was probably 'What will your family do now that you are gone?'.

I didn't have time to think on this hypothetical question as I had a visitor!

...Why is a green child on a throne visiting me?
More importantly, WHAT IS SHE WEARING!?

"I am no child Ryan!" The gremlin screamed at me. "Nor a gremlin!"

"Huh? You can hear my thoughts?" I asked suspiciously. Next she is gonna tell me she came from another world and is here to recruit me to save it.

"I'm starting to think this works both ways... But, yes! I can hear your thoughts as I am the progenitor goddess Sothis!" Sothis introduced herself. "I am here because I need your help to save Fodlan from those dastardly Agrathans!"

"What!? Why me though?" I asked.

"I needed someone and you just happen to be the lucky one who was chosen. Lucky you!" Sothis cheerfully answered.

"I don't find myself lucky... Wait! Does that mean you made me die!?" I asked.

"No, and I am offended you would accuse me of such a cruel thing." Sothis answered as if her heart has been ripped out of her. "I just asked for help and the god of your world said I can have the next soul to lose its body, which was you."

I tilted my head then raised it back up. "Okay, let's back it up. How am I supposed to help you?" I asked.

Sothis chuckled before answering, "Easy my dear helper! I just need you to revive on the nation of Fodlan during its early years and be my vessel." Sothis began. "After you ost undoubtedly die you will be reborn in a random baby's body, i'll make sure it is a boy, and we continue from there. We will finish our journey after all Agrathans are either slaughtered or stop messing with my children and the people of Fodlan."

"I'll even provide a little bonus to make it easier." Sothis finished.

"A bonus? What bo-!" Suddenly my body began glowing as my body began to fade. "WHAT!? What is happening!?" I screamed.

"Relax earth boy. I am currently transporting you to Fodlan, see you there!" Sothis said in a childish voice as she disappeared.

Then I disappeared as well.

Chapter 2: A New Land
"Augh. Why does my head ache so much?" I ask as I clutch my head feeling my hand is much rougher and bigger than before. Groaning I open my eyes to see the great blue sky and the chirps of birds abound.

The relative peacefulness dies as I am surrounded by pointed blades. "Who are you?" A masculine voice asks. Turning my head I see a man with long white hair and a beard wearing full red and gold armor. "My nane is Wilhelm Paul Hresvelg, emperor of Adrestia and champion of Seiros, state your name and why a island channel has grown out of the sea and now borders to the southwest of Fodlan?" He asks.

"So this is Fodlan?" I say remembering what Sothis said to me as Wilhelm looks at me strangely. "I am-!"

'Wait. I don't know the naming of this nation! I better find a good name.' I thought as I stood and looked around.

"Coal... Gem. My name is Coal Gem." I say.

"That is a strange name. Is it foreign?" He says. "Wait! I am asking the wrong questions, why did this land come out of nowhere?" He asks.

"Ah. Well I was given a mission. A mission granted to me by-!" Suddenly time slowed as Wilhelm and his men slowed down to a crawl and eventually stopped. Then Sothis appear in front of me swinging her feet looking rather in a hurry.

"Stop! Don't say that Sothis sent you. Say literally anything else okay?" She warns me.

"Okay... Wait!" I cry as she goes to leave, she turns back to me. "What is this special ability?" I asked.

"Oh! Simple, just focus on anything and you can get some in for about it or them. You also learn things alot quicker than a regular human." She says. "Here, try it on Wilhelm."

Shrugging I do so then a screen of info pops up about Wilhelm.

History: Wilhelm Paul Hresvelg was born in Before Adrestia Year 20 he founded Adrestia and meet the divine Seiros and became her champion. In the year 32 he raised a army and began the war against Nemesis and his allies known as the War of Heroes. He once was gifted Seiros divine blood when he was injured in battle and has thus became a first generation crest bearer allowing him to possibly live hundreds of years.

'That is a lot of words andI don't what some of them mean.' I think to myself.

Time resumes as Wilhelm waits to me to finish.

"I truly do not know oh mighty emperor." I say as I bow my head to him. "I can not recall why I am here."

Wilhelm chuckles saying something under his breath. "Amnesia is your story?" He asks. "The divine Seiros will see if their is any truth in your claims. Bring him back to camp!" He orders.

The soldiers poke at me with their blades to continue back to camp. The walk lasts a hour and somehow I am less exhausted then I would normally be back home, I would usually exhaust myself in about half a hour. The camp is massive for a camp probably holding around 15 thousand soldiers the camp is busy with lots of moving bodies.

"Ah divine Seiros." Wilhelm speaks as he bows slightly while the rest of his men bowed deeply, one of them kicked my leg to make me kneel.

"Wilhelm," She says bakc bowing slightly as well. "is this?" She asks as she turns to me. Wilhelm nods at the unasked question she nods in return. "I will like to talk to him in private." She says.

"Of course." He says. He turns to his men, "Honorably soldiers of Adrestia, Saint Macuil has informed us that a small army least by Riegan is near this camp. We best prepare for battle."

Seiros less me to her camp and allows me to sit down. She takes off her uniform, is that considered armor?, and turns to me.

"So, tell me everything."
