A Convergence of Fate (OOC)

Location
Where angels fear to tread.
In the space between spaces, the point of traversal, a portal opens.

Now, this is a fairly common occurrence, given this place's liminal nature, but the next bit is the rather odd part.

The portal wasn't from any known dimension.

This place, the Void, the Tunnel, the Highway, or any of it's other names, isn't capable of sustaining transdimensional portaling without the proper markers to guide them.

Which leaves us with an impossible portal, into a false place, and a most peculiar individual.

A man who, by all known accounts, should be extremely dead. His head is held in his hands, and his skin is cold to the touch. His golden armor glistens with marks and cuts. Yet, he smiles while watching the portal.

He wonders, Just who is going to take the bait?

Hello! I was bored and felt like seeing which of the creatures on this website would like to play a little game?

The idea is that you basically have free reign over what kind of character you want to make, with one caveat. No making them too OP. I'm serious. It's no fun if the plreayers just become a god right out the gate.

You gain 10 points to put into any attribute you want. Literally, anything. So long as the 1 rule is followed.

Name:
Attribute(s):
Description: (How do they look?)
Short Backstory:

As for the setting? Well, right now it's Schrodinger's setting, in terms of how it'll be made.

Now, with that out of the way,

Have fun!

An attribute is basically anything you can put a number to. Eyes, height, fingers, or more traditional attributes like strength, dexterity, wisdom, and such. The one rule is that you can't make things that are blatantly OP, like having the power of ten gods.

Hmm, still a bit weird with the point limit. Maybe an example sheet?

Example Sheet:
Name: General Grievous
Attributes: Arms: 4, Lightsabers: 4, Intelligence: 2.
Description: A cyborg of skeletal proportions with four arms, bone white plating, and the only remaining organics of his are his eyes, brain, heart, and lungs. He can be vaguely described as insectile.
Short Backstory: A general of a droid army, he was a force of nature on the battlefield, and a tactile mastermind. But, while he isn't the smartest, the strongest, or the best in any category, he's the melding of all these things into a perfect Jedi killer. Now, an aberration has appeared in his plans, and he is going to sort it out himself.

Or, a more simple one:
Name: Strongston.
Attributes: Strong: 10.
Description: A muscle bound giant who seeks only to be the strongest.
Short Backstory: One time, Strongston not strongest, and was taken advantage of. Now, he become strongest to never be taken advantage of again!

Huh, so Grievous cyborg ness not contributed to the point? Interesting.

Might make something like Entoma, I'll need to mull about this more.

As a general rule, you don't need to put points into something to have, but in a contest involving details, the points bend it in the owners favor. If neither side uses an attribute with points, it's basically a coinflip. One side has points? A D6 roll where the on with more points has an extra square, and the one with less has one less. If the other side has twice as many points, a D4 roll where they have three sides, and the one with less has one. Four times or more? A D20 with only a single space that allows the one with less to win.

Basically, you want the attribute you have the most points in to be against the attribute they have the least points in.

So basically if something realistically won't affect or conflict with another, like monster insect breeding I am making rn, you don't really need to attribute it? Huh, I see.

Name: Serdret Rihar

Attributes: A Dragonsong of Frozen Firelight: 5, Drake's Den Legionnaire: 5

Description: Serdret cuts an imposing figure, with his grey-skin, glowing orange eyes, and icy scales, plates, and hair. He's barefoot, on a thin sheet of ice, and wielding a flaming silver sword. The tip of a longbow peeks over his left shoulder, behind a blue slug neckguard and flameleather chestplate.

Short Backstory: Serdret is one of the best non-veteran legionaries at Drake's Den Royal Military Academy. He focused on flamesinging, dragonfire, chaos, and solid fire, but is no slouch at luxurgy, cryoturgy, or normal pyroturgy. He detected strange radiation when he supervised another student's void-scrying project, and accidentally fell through to here.

Sorry, but could you explain what "Kunoichi" and "Onmyouji" mean to my American self? I'd look it up, and I probably will, but I want to get your understanding of the words first.

Hm? It just female ninja and Japanese magician. I assume I don't need to explain the first one but the latter basically geomancer, exorcist, and summoner rolled into one. Not as direct as western magician, focusing more on Feng Shui, divination, curses and if things goes south, using familiars, but that was it.

Name: Sam of Hollowdale
Attributes:
MARTIAL GOD: 7
GLORIOUS HERO: 3

Description: A humble young peasant with a simple spear by his side.

Short Backstory: There was a young man born in a small, unassuming village, the seventh son of a seventh son. Growing up, he was a friendly, brave, and cheerful little rascal with a strong sense of justice, and had the small talent of being able to kill dragons and other beasts with anything he cared to use, on account of his horrendous and ridiculous talent for combat. This rather worried his parents, especially the fact that he also had a talent for becoming the subject of saga and song. After all, heroism did not bring in a regular income, and there was all that nasty business about 'tragic and ironic fates'. And as he grew up, he started attracting all sorts of looks from the ladies. That certainly couldn't do. So his father told him to go find his fortune as a hero properly, without waiting for an epic adventure to come to him, and now here he is.

Name: Alex diaz

Attribute(s):
•Insight: 4
•Mental resistence: 6

Description: Black wild hair and brown eyes set in what people often call a "dead tired stare", often wears loose fitting shirts and jeans, not particulary tall or short he often slips in the background of people's minds.

Short Backstory: A normal boy living in a normal town, at least he though so until he started noticing weird things going all around, did that man just dissapeared into a shadow?, Does that woman have webbed hands?, That dog looks a little too big doesn't it?.
Noticing all these strange things going around he did the only thing he could, he ignored them and continued with his life as if nothing happened, no matter how much some of them tried to mess with his vision of reality.
Of course that didn't work for long, after all, how do you ignore a fucking big portal suddenly appearing right in front of you just as you are walking through.

Now, this is an odd party if I've ever seen one. Welcome aboard, everyone! Now, let's see what sweet mayhem you all get caught up in now, hmm?

If players are still being accepted, here's what I have in mind…

Name: Artoria Pendragon
Attributes:
  • Knight Princess: 5 (This covers her skills and abilities as a knight and future king, in combat, leadership, and more. In battle, she relies on her swordplay, using bursts of mana to amplify her physical actions, and using her instincts to chart her best personal course of action. Her weapon, Caliburn, can amplify her mana and convert it into blasts of light)
  • Journey of the Flowers: 5 (This covers her character and values, having a strong sense of hope, heroism, chivalry, and idealism. She radiates a warm, friendly vibe that inspires her companions to be more proactive and hopeful)
Description:

Short Backstory:
  • This is King Arthur, but as a girl, and before she becomes King of Camelot. At this time, she's raised as a knight and goes on adventures with her mentor, Merlin, and her older stepbrother, Sir Kay, traveling around the land of Britain as she trains to help others and fulfill her chosen destiny. It's during one of those adventures that she finds herself through a spatial rift that brings her to who-knows-where.
  • Well, those are what I've inherited by somehow becoming her. In my case, what I remember before all this is having a normal life, looking for a job along the way. My last memory is exiting through a restaurant's entrance door, having eaten a good lunch.

Might as well make one

Charles Chandler

Flight 2, not a bird or a plane

Invulnerability 2

Super Strength 2

Super Speed 2

Heat Ray 2, like martian tripods in war of the worlds

Derivative-Man

Your hoping to be famous hero operating in a dense metropolis occupied by other more notable heroes.

Always rejected from the big leagues for being bland, and seen as a bad knockoff. Even sidekicks get more airtime im comparison, as he is seen by his peers as just enough. Currently Charles is at his wit's end looking for way to improve his career, to get enough progress so that he can be one of the great heroes.
