So, Tsun is kinda an undead, right? Is he a mindless undead? Would Awaken undead do anything for him?

Edit: Yeah, I know we call him a zombie but he feels more like a perfect flesh golem. Which Is why I had to ask if he would count as undead for the spell. Actually, he's more like a Soul stitch from 5e.

Roal Dahl wrote that our appearance is a reflection of our soul. With Tsun being as attractive as he is... one wonders what selfless, gandi-esque, minor daedric spirit have we trapped.

On a serious note. If we want Yang's pining to go anywhere, we should ensoul Tsun. Mainly because, while he acts with a degree of intelligence, I'm not certain he's sapient.

I hope we can upgrade it's soul then, (or replace it). That does seem like one of the important necromancy lessons, maybe we can teach Louise to do it? I'm sure she'd like a better butler/bodyguard/servant figure to boss around.
I believe necromancy is part of conjuration, which is the one thing we are very explicitly not teaching Louise. Unless Cynric has changed his mind now that she's grown on him somewhat, but I kinda doubt that, considering that Louise's stronger than him and conjuration is his best trump card over her in the event of a betrayal.

Cynric's no fool. Trust nobody. Not even those who are unquestionably loyal to you. Not even yourself.

Always. Anticipate. Betrayal.

Our vigilance was certainly too lax with the Phoenixes, after all.

Nah there's a much better reason to never teach Louise Conjuration. She's just too strong, so she'll summon up something that'll kill everything forever. We're masters of it and even with our skill and smaller power levels we still almost accidentally everything once or twice. Louise would summon the Overmind or a Black Hole or something.

Give Him The D(ust)
"Trobror, I believe I have discovered something that could use your experience." You say over the radio before leaving the room.

The speaker crackles to life with the reptilian's rumbling voice as he , "What do you want? I'm kind of busy down here."

"Oh?" You query, feigning interest. Not waiting for an answer, you continue, "Regardless, I believe this will be of much more importance to you than what you are doing."

"Yeah, whatever. Just give me half an hour to get back." He eventually replies after a series of loud blasts and squelching noises.

You spend some time digging through your belongings for that odd stone gifted to you by the giant dragonoid being. With no real idea what the stone does other than vague hints from a suspicious creature, it isn't as if you were going to use it on yourself any time soon. That means it is the perfect payment for the Krogan mercenary, since a unique magical artifact like that should make up for the lack of pay so far as well as let you see its effects without risking detrimental effects to yourself.

Newly created crystal in hand, the distance to Raymond's soon-to-be workshop fades rapidly beneath your heels and you find yourself amidst the clamor of manual labor. Seeing the man himself performing maintenance on one of the only two suits of powered armor to make their way to Remnant, you walk over and slide the Gravity Dust in front of his eyes. "I come bearing gifts."

"What's this?" He asks, nearly dropping the gem when he takes it. Grunting with effort at catching the unexpected weight, he holds it into the light. "And why on Earth is it so heavy?"

"That, my friend, is Gravity Dust. It responds to electricity, so I trust you can make good use of it?"

Nodding, he swiftly sets about making a simple circuit to test it. The moment he flips the switch, a deep blue glow encircles the crystal and the table groans under the increased stress. Turning the Dust crystal around makes the table float as if weightless.

"Huh... Well, I can't say for sure, but it seems the name is accurate. It's almost like a crystalline magnet, but one effects gravity instead of magnetism." Raymond muses, trying a few other angles and configurations to minimal effect.

Making note of the fact that more than just the table was being affected by the glow, you offer, "I was testing Dust for alchemical properties when I happened upon this recipe."

"You just randomly made eezo?" An easily recognized voice scoffed in disbelief. Turning to Trobror, you can see how unsettled the faunus laborers are with his helmet-less appearance. "I guess that means I can finally get paid in something that'll actually be worth something back home."

"Gods, what is that thing?"

"That can't be a faunus, right?"

"You reckon its an alien?"

"Don't be stupid, its obviously an escaped Atlesian experiment."

"Both of you shut up before we get fired! It doesn't matter what it is, don't ruin this for the rest of us!"

Considering the fact that you can hear the workers' discussion, you don't doubt that Trobror can as well. Instead of waiting for a pointless fight to break out and delay construction progress, you pull out the dragonhead stone and toss it to the reptile. "I cannot give you any at the moment. As far as payment is concerned, that should be enough to hold you over until we are on a more stable footing."

"Credits, gear, or unmarked eezo count as pay." Trobror replies, flipping the stone in his hands. "Crude art doesn't."

Rolling your eyes, a bad habit you must have picked up somewhere along the last few months, you explain, "It is a magical stone given to me by a dragon." Raymond's surprised coughing fit goes ignored by the both of you as the Krogan stares with a lack of comprehension. "Apparently the stone the first step upon the path of the dragon, which I assume to be some form of entantiomorph."

"In what now?"

"Entantiomorph." You repeat. "The process of becoming so similar to something or someone in action that reality can no longer tell the two of you apart and in turn grants you the power of what you are emulating."

At his questioning of why he would want to become like a dragon, you explain just what you've seen the flying lizards do. Between the building crushing strength, the armor that requires ballistae to pierce, and the world bending power... well, he seems a lot less dubious about the value of the stone by the end of it all.

Leaving him to ponder his new option, you turn to Raymond. "If possible, I would like to begin planning for an eventual airship."

------------------------------
A/N: Ship size is determined by both the stuff you want on it and general consensus of desired size, while build time will depend on what you want to put into the ship and how big you want it to be, but can be reduced by collecting resources to speed up production. Caravel sized vessels won't have much capability, but will be built in two weeks. Something the size of Amity Colosseum (The floating island for the Vytal festival) would take until a week after the Vytal festival at the earliest unless you guys can bring in a lot of resources and labor, but could be turned into a flying fortress.

...I'm kind of tempted to just go for the maximum in every category? It'll take ages to make, but if it's acting as a permanent base that can fly through Oblivion it might be worth it.

We need it before everything goes to shit during the Vytal festival, which limits us. Piece didn't say we couldn't refurbish it later though. So I'll just pencil it in for after we conquer Atlas and enslave Grimm to mine the dust mines. With a max of 39 taking a week too long, we should shoot slightly under.

As long as we get the promised rail guns I'm golden. The question becomes, what does an air ship need?

Max Everything.

I want a floating continent so we dont need to mooch off of any Natives when we travel again.

Then again, size will mean that Big Deal mofos will take an interest in our ship, so it might be better to go for the viking.

Here's some representation of the sizes. Not sure how big the Colosseum is but it's HUGE

I'm confused, is the Onboard Oblivion Travel Capabilities an Oblivion Gate or the ability to transport the ship through Oblivion?

I just assumed remnant was our new hub world, and the ship our new base of operations. There is that saying about assumptions though.

Personal assessments:

[] Speed
-[] x1
-[] x2
-[] x3
-[] x4
-[] x5

[] Maneuverability
-[] x1
-[] x2
-[] x3
-[] x4
-[] x5

These two are much much more important for smaller craft than larger.
If you have strong static defenses you don't need to dodge much.

[] Stealth
-[] x1
-[] x2
-[] x3
-[] x4
-[] x5

Stealth...all or nothing. Much much more important if your speed is crap, but more exploitable if you're speedy

[] Defense
-[] x1
-[] x2
-[] x3
-[] x4
-[] x5

Critically important for slow and large vessels which WILL take hits.

[] Offense: Ship to Ship
-[] x1
-[] x2
-[] x3
-[] x4
-[] x5

[] Offense: Ship to Ground
-[] x1
-[] x2
-[] x3
-[] x4
-[] x5

The slower and larger the vessel the more important, because you can't evade, only duke it out.
Noting that this is mainly important for playing hero.

[] Science labs
-[] x1
-[] x2

[] Manufacturing capabilities
-[] x1
-[] x2
-[] x3
-[] x4
-[] x5

These two meanwhile are for our "well we accidentally destroyed the planet again and would prefer not to waste time upteching from scratch again" options.

If we want to keep the ship

[] General size
-[] Caravel (tiny)
-[] Soviet Typhoon (Bigger)
-[] Nimitz Class (Getting there)
-[] Jahre Viking (There and then some)
-[] Amity Colosseum (Definitely not compensating for anything)

Very tempting to make it huge I admit.
But the larger the less likely we have it ready for the day we impulsively blow up Remnant

Basic conception of this is that it's as hard to kill as humanly possible. Its not a ship meant to save the world. Its the ship meant to pick up everything you want to keep from this dimension and gate out while the world ends.

I don't care for a huge ship. I want something small, maneuverable and capable of running or hiding if shit hits the fan. I personally believe Plan Minerva is... Overestimating our building capabilities by an enormous margin. Lower all of those by at least 1, production by 3 and we might make it before the festival.

Just think of all the worlds we can destroy with a ship like this!

words can't express how much I want to go for the Vicjer plan, but the ability to run before shit gets too bad appeals to my cowardly side.
besides, this is still just a stopgap world we decided on to prevent us from death by lunar debris.

remember, the nimitz class is still over 300 metres long, which translates to a hell of a lot of disposable test subjects crewmembers.
If we still had the xcom members, I'd probably go for the Colosseum.
also, if we upgrade the ship after constructing it, weapons could probably be dropped down to 1

[X] Plan: Witness The Firepower Of This Fully Armed And Operational Battle Station!

It's powerful, fast, maneuverable, and it also acts as a home base! What's not to love about this glorious station?

It'll take next to forever to make, so we'll have to avoid destroying Remnant for a while, but the results shall be worth it!
