So a plan got popular. But I do have a complaint on said plan, what with the quest being shounen and all that. I really can't imagine a shounen protagonist being portrayed in that way.

I wouldn't mind. It would be a challenge to keep up the tone while having a character like that.

But I do understand your concern. As the QM all I can really say is, I'll do my best with the way the votes go.

That's fair.

I was kind of thinking of a Yu Path from Seraph of the End type of Deal. Where they start off closed off, though more unintentionally in this case, and then open up by developing the Power of Friendship. But that's more of a long term idea.

Moving to the topic of our current sheet. Not that good at this, but just to try and analyze...
PC Class
The Dreamer - Your ideals are what guide you to believe the world can be better than what it is, and that there is one hiding right under your nose.
Bonus to: Empathy, Martial Arts, and Supernatural
Deductions to: Education, Culture, and Firearms
Social Advantages: +1 Rank with Idealist and Optimist
Social Disadvantages: -1 Rank with Realist, Pessimist, and Authority Figures
Evolves into: The Unstoppable
Partner Class
Bonus To: Martial Arts And Resistance
Deductions To: Speech And Evasion
New Skills: None
Evolves Into: Varies By User
For us and our partner, I believe this is more for training or caps then actual rolls at the moment. Though I do wonder how our bonus and deduction to Speech work...maybe they cancel each other out? Regardless, moving past that.
Both Martial Art
Martial Art: Unyielding Mountain Technique - The user becomes as a mountain. Unmovable, unbreakable, yet hitting with enough force to shake the earth beneath them. This Style requires the user to not just be physically resilient, but mentally and spiritually as well. For only when all three are in balance does this Style truly shine. Corresponding Skill: Resistance
PC Weapons
- Your Fist (+10 When Street Fighting or Brawling, Natural)
- Your Partner (Twin Gauntlets; Allows for combined Skills and Attacks during Combat; +10 When Using UMT; Concealed)
1. I am not sure if we can use two martial arts at the same, like Street Fighting + Unyielding Mountain Technique, but assuming we cannot...
2. Moving past the Concealed trait. The most important bit is Combined Skills & Attacks During Combat. With passive +10 to Unyielding Mountain Technique rolls, I believe.
PC
Martial Arts:
- Street Fighting: 15
- Unyielding Mountain Technique (Cursed Gauntlets): 10
Resistance:
- Spiritual (Your Spirit): 15
Partner

1. Brawling (PC): Effective 0 (PC Base) + 10 (PC Your Fist Weapons) = 10.
2. Brawling (Together): Effective 0 (PC Base) + 10 (PC Your Fist Weapons) + 20 (Partner Base) = 30.
3. Street Fighting (PC): Effective 15 (PC Base) + 10 (PC Your Fist Weapons) = 25.
4. Street Fighting (Together): Effective 15 (PC Base) + 10 (PC Your Fist Weapons) + 20 (Partner Base) = 45.
5. Spiritual Resistance (PC): 15 (PC Base).
6. Spiritual Resistance (Together): 15 + 50 (Partner Base) = 65.
7. Unyielding Mountain Technique (Together): Effective 10 (PC Base) + 10 (Your Partner Passive Bonus) + 50 (Partner Base) = 70.

-Trickery: 20
Non-Combat Rolls
Note:
Well unless we do use these skills in combat, based on traits or certain actions, later on. Like Perception or Trickery, etc. But for now, just going to put them here...
1. Diplomacy (PC): 20 (PC Base) + 5 (PC Loyalty Trait) = 25.
2. Persuasion (PC): 5 (PC Base) + 5 (PC Loyalty Trait) = 10.
3. Intimidation (PC): 5 (PC Base) + 5 (PC Loyalty Trait) = 10.
4. Armor/Weapons/Tools (Partner): 10 (Partner Base).
5. History (Partner): 10 (Partner Base)
6. Fundamental Knowledge/Persons Of Interest/The Myths Themselves (Partner): 40 (Partner Base).
7. Objects (Partner): 30 (Partner Base)
8. Trickery (Partner): 20 (Partner Base)

I could be entirely wrong or misunderstanding on how to calculate the rolls. Or missing some things. But I think this is what we have so far.

All things considered anyhow, we may need to pick up on the more basic skills like Education considering we are part of a prestigious school. I also wonder whether our partner can teach us their skills.
[] Prestigious School - Somehow, you've managed to get into THAT School. The one with the stellar reputation where the kids of all the rich and influential people go to get an education. Everyone is either a pompous asshole, a backstabbing bastard, or a combination of both. To top that off, the school places a lot of value on its reputation. Any kind of trouble will be considered a scandal and "handled" accordingly.
...now that I think about it, I wonder how we managed to get in, in the first place? Hmm, guess it'll be brought up soon enough after CC.

You certainly put more thought into the crunch than I did.

Just to be clear, you and your Partner's Bonuses, Deductions, and Skill points are all separate for the purposes of training. However, you can ask your Partner to train with you, at which point they will be counted together. In Comat, since you will always be fighting together, this is automatic.

And when it comes to Martial Arts, you can only use 1 in a battle. No doubling up.

[X] The Logos to Our Pathos

I'd preferred Shy Guy, but this does bring up the interesting plot thread of why our bro suddenly became so emotionless.

Though a pick where we're smiling would fit better for our character.

I'd recommend starting poking holes into the emotionlessness our bro has, show that he does care and has emotions, even if he doesn't show them often, or that there's something/one that has made him so detached.

Just what i wanted.

The lack of emotion expression or the fact that he's smart?

Because just like how isekai mutates to perpetuate it's existence, so too can Shounen. The fun twist is that the guy that's normally the Protagonist is the Bro here.

There's always the possibility that we got in because we were recruited for a sport. Or our Bro got us through the tests. When you're just trying to get the minimum to scrape by you can optimize effort a lot more.

@LinkOnScepter what are you treating a 0 as for this quest? Classic AGG treats it as "braindead idiot" on the subject and to address that more recent AGG likes have given more points out at the start.

Or do points strictly represent having some degree of supernatural power and/or skill?

So the two of us statistic wise practically become one during combat. Gotcha.

Agreed. Plus the fact that we have our bond in the first place and it wasn't nullified shows it isn't some kind of complete close off.
Though a pick where we're smiling would fit better for our character.
That's fair. Honestly I would have picked a picture of us smiling but...well the only pictures of Shizuo I can find smiling is in his adult form. Though I do find it kind of funny that teenage him used to have brown hair...

I wonder if our hair is natural or dyed in this Timeline. Guess it'll depend on who our parents were.

1. So we are heading toward a Deconstruction then Reconstruction? :V

2. True. I suppose it depends on what a 0 means. I don't think there is actually a skill for sports...narrative skill maybe, if that's the case.

We could also be getting skill points for our choices later, but unsure.

Another possibility is that we got in through nepotism which...well is probably the worst idea if so, in a competitive school.

Depends on the Stat and Character.

For instance, when it comes to empathy, your character knows what it is. It's just that you've never fully applied yourself to understanding it completely. It would be like knowing what rocket science is but never studying how it works.

But when it comes to something you've got a Deduction in, like say Firearms, you'd be completely clueless.
