In which Taylor gains 02's (and every other dark matter creatures) power-set.
Technically a crossover with the Kirby series, but beside the introduction I probably won't do anything with that setting.
My first post on SV so expect bad writing and formatting mishaps.
I'm HALPING! Stop helping!
I began life in a world of white and cold that bit down to my core. Bit? Cold? I pondered for a moment and realized how I knew these things. Another me, but not myself, had died, and in their death throws they had wished that I would be reborn in a place that would be safe. Such things filled me with sorrow, their final act being one of kindness, marred by that pink monster.

Steadily I glided around my white-coated environment until I found something that emitted an aura of great despair.

An ancient city, half sunken into the snow. Many creatures must have lived and died here, now lost forever. This brought me more pain inside, and after a moment I came to the conclusion that I had not, nor had any previous incarnation of me, ever experienced anything but this. We had all felt it, sometimes greater, sometimes lesser, but never gone.

I continued exploring.

Eventually I found something interesting, it was a large open building filled with vast quantities of electronics. On one of the few still running I found various images, but one drastically different captured my attention. It was an image of a creature surrounded by four wheels. Intrigued, I sought to find more traces of this creature.

The creature of which I discovered a photo of was a species called "Ophanim", dreaded servants of a benevolent god of mercy, such was their beauty and might that they pleaded for the people of this planet to not fear them. The idea that a creature would need to beg another not to be afraid of it once again stirred sorrow in my heart, and with this discovery resounding in my mind I made a decision.

I would take up this mantle, and the creatures of this universe would be finally freed of sorrow, and, admittedly selfishly, I thought, free me of mine. No longer would they be burdened with the sorrow of being as I am. Now I shall grant them release from their pain.

What had once began as a minor annoyance for it's refusal to accept my mercy had soon progressed into an outrage at its continued thwarting of my attempts to obtain the shards of that crystal. That pink monster, no… demon! That pink demon has continuously destroyed plan after plan. Not only that, but it trespassed on the land of my birth!

And now here it stands before me, clutching a defiled form of the crystal. That ignorant fairy who had stolen the crystal in the first place holding it aloft within my home. I suppose there is only one conclusion to make.

I must show mercy. As any angel always should.

The demon was stronger than me. With the power of that infuriating crystal it pierced my only weak point. In my death throes, as my body comes apart, vanishing into beams of light, I think of the only kindness I was ever granted. My predecessor had given me a kind birth, of wonder and little sorrows. I wanted to grant my successor something better, they would not be born, for that would be unjustly inflicting pain on a creature, but granted power, someone who had already experienced deep sorrows, and my strength would let them feel joy.

Finally, I ensured this power would never tread close to the pink demon. It had already murdered to many.
