    I get the memes portray the Terran marines as losers compared to the Astartes But how powerful do you think the Gauss rifle were in terms of penetration and lethality compared to the Bolter. Because the Impaler being more deadly than the bolter implies that the Gauss rifle that inspired the Impaler may not have been so weak after all. Quite the contrary. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

    its entirely up to the writer, as you need to decide how tough various things are in each setting. You can make Astartes armour proof against impalers, you can have them easily penetrate it its up to you.

    Hello there Durin. Quick question. What does Tjapa the Empyrean Tyrant look like? What does his domain look like compared to the other Chaos gods considering that Tjapa is the Chaos God of Tyranny and control?

    His domain looks like an imperial hive, with every layer more and more golden and glowing and often litelly held up by those of thr layer below it.
    At the very peak of the spire is the throne room, in which a golden masked god watches over his domain with glowing, gold, eyes and, gold, wings.

    Oh man. A golden Hive city. Cool but also scary. especially with a demiurge like Chaos God being involved in the Great game. I kinda imagined Tjapa as something akin to Sauron in terms aesthetics, and a twisted desire for his version for Order which is actually control.

    I just want to say thanks for making characters realistic and for being a all around great GM.

    Because really I dislike Mikaelson as much as I did Umbridge in Harry Potter. While they are not as evil as each other that have that much emotional investment in a character speaks about your writing.

    spreadsheets, with notes and a willingness to make numbers up if needed. Also a lot of time and effort.

    That sounds like a lot of work. If you ever need someone to help spice up combat, though, I'm always happy! Can't do big scenes, but smaller fights or duels I'm ok with!

    Nah, just thinking about Embers, both the updates and the things in between.

    Durin your world building and characters are great and your single character interludes are superb but have you ever thought of getting a beta for battles? Because to be offensive you are lacking in battle description. It reads like dull number crunching and percentages. You have gotten better but it's still kinda bad.

    That is a good idea. Battles are the bit have have the most trouble with and it shows.

    I would check out to see if Crossycross and Red flaf are available because they are the best I know and your Quest would be vastly improved by showing in lovely gore splattered detail the fullest extent of Avernite fury and skill. For how much they are hyped up it feels like we are told they are super deadly hyper killers instead of shown.
