I would actually be interested in the full backstory as why Sandra turned to the dark side, but wow. That + the post made for some incredible reading.

My intent was that the Sandra in that story is her negative counterpart (the Nouveau riche design child described in the OP); likewise, Shuri is supposed to be her positive version (the Golden Ace option), keeping things at -1 overall. Essentially, in this story, Sandra was always on the dark side.
