The thing about the Male Lead is that he kind of seems like the everyman protagonist/harem lead who you're supposed to use as a stand in for your own fantasy? Idk about other people, but I have zero interest in those types of characters, and Aoi seemed to have a personality. (I guess being nice just isn't enough for me.)

I can write something insightful about the differences between typical male and female main characters, but let's just pretend that I did, it was horrible, and move on.
