Naturally. Only you can see titlesI'm guessing these characters can't see their titles-only we can right?

You are known in certain circles, but to the world at large, you're pretty much a nobody.I have question. How well known are we? All I know is that the principal and the (robot?) Knows about us. Does the outside world know of us?
Ah, so is this strategy viable? You are known in certain circles, but to the world at large, you're pretty much a nobody.
Of course.Ah, so is this strategy viable?
Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass
Well that's all the better reason to make them reflect on their future actions, I mean we are a teacher and we just gonna let them be? And how do you know we wouldn't prevent these students from 'doing bad things' with that speech? We won't know if we don't try, not trying is worse actually, we are the strongest yeah, we can stop them but change their ideology is better than constantly handling them and I'm a little bit confused... How is it pretentious when its stating facts? That depends...Maybe we reserve this speech exclusively to the three main protagonists. Because other than them, we don't know anything about the other students. I mean, I'm pretty sure people labelled <Slashers of Slashers> or <Demon Hunter Hunter> aren't exactly the most heroic of people. In fact, their existence might go against the public "good" considering that one of them might be a serial killer and the other hunts people who hunt demons. Then we have the <True Ancestor Vampire>, who might be a tad disillusioned with so-called "heroes."
Also, just my opinion, but that speech sounds a tad pretentious.
Assuming we are the only one that can see their titles then why did the headmaster put three normal guys in a 'special' class? They are a lot of protagonists that start with a supernatural background.I'm guessing these characters can't see their titles-only we can right? Otherwise the robot wouldn't have been surprised that we knew they were trouble makers.
So maybe the protagonists don't even know they are supposed to be protagonists. They will probably be very confused with a heroes speech.
Right......A speech from a total stranger is going to convince a serial killer to stop killing. I'm not saying we shouldn't try to help them become better people, I just want to know each student a bit more before we start with the inspirational speeches.Well that's all the better reason to make them reflect on their future actions, I mean we are a teacher and we just gonna let them be? Every teacher at the start is a total stranger, and words when they makes sense have much more weight even from a stranger, you keep arguing but do you have a better proposal? Better than looking like a jester in front of our students? the roll call is good straight to business, I'm not against that.Right......A speech from a total stranger is going to convince a serial killer to stop killing. I'm not saying we shouldn't try to help them become better people, I just want to know each student a bit more before we start with the inspirational speeches.
Still better than a standard one though. For all we know, the serial killer will be inspired by our heroes speech to turn into Dexter, a 'heroic serial killer.
In anime, there are time when the jester turned out to be someone you don't want to mess with, you know?
Ah, so is this strategy viable?

Master Roshi wasn't teaching in an official school, or he will have been fired a long time ago for immaturity and unprofessional behavior, or to jail because of his perverted mind. We can be that yes, but we a teacher is supposed to be an example for the students, not a moron. In anime, there are time when the jester turned out to be someone you don't want to mess with, you know?
There was nothing that said that they were normal. Heck, just because you look normal doesn't mean you are normal.Assuming we are the only one that can see their titles then why did the headmaster put three normal guys in a 'special' class?
But they usually try to get to know you first. Try to connect with you. I have never met a teacher that goes off on a tangent on how to live your life at the beginning of the school year. Hell, how do we even know if the students are going to respect us in the beginning? We know of a fact that they are the trouble makers. There's a good chance that at least some of them will have no respect for a higher authority and just brush off our words. Be comidical and down to earth will help break the ice and ensure that the student see us as more than a person that just there to teach them boring stuff.Every teacher at the start is a total stranger, and words when they makes sense have much more weight even from a stranger
... you do realize that Master Roshi was just an example. I'm not saying to be perverted or whatever. Nor to be a moron. I'm just saying that just because we're funny doesn't mean we would make a bad example. Also, teachers that tend to be funny tend to be more well received by their students. Being funny doesn't mean we're immature or unprofessional. Hell, sometimes, unorthodox teachers that are down to earth tend to be the best ones.Master Roshi wasn't teaching in an official school, or he will have been fired a long time ago for immaturity and unprofessional behavior, or to jail because of his perverted mind. I wasn't talking to you there, CoreBrute said that the protagonists might be just normal guys and I made a counter-argument.There was nothing that said that they were normal. Heck, just because you look normal doesn't mean you are normal.
.
I admit we should get to know them first before giving life advice, not how to run their lives that's stupid, the exception being the outcastsBut they usually try to get to know you first. Why? Those teachers usually end up being friends.
Is it just me, or do I use hell a lot.
...did you not read the name of the trope?Exactly, an example that you were trying to go for a jester/moron/pervert
Part of the trope literally says 'Hidden Badass'.I think a jester kind of person is the ominous one usually with something they hide about themselves
One of the common tropes, not the common trope. While the wise, calm, intelligent, inspirational one is the protagonist's 'sensei' is the common trope
So apparently, we can lose our job our by being... funny?the headmaster was confident in us teaching the school so let's not ruin his expectation by starting to joke around the class.
Then you should have gone for this one not that one since its pretty specific trope, as such I assumed you were trying to set the character based on that...did you not read the name of the trope?
Also, this trope is so prevalent in amine that a SUBPAGE had to be created, due to the sheer amount of it.
It was just my opinion, ignore it.
Its the most spread and popular one, so it doesn't really matter.
For being unprofessional, setting our PC as a serious but out-going and friendly teacher is my goal, and its not the moment to pull jokes around the classes when its time to present ourselves and teaching to the students
Then you should have gone for this one not that one since its pretty specific trope, as such I assumed you were trying to set the character based on that
Oh, whoops. Didn't know that one existed. Definitely can see how people could have misunderstood. Sorry.Hell even this one is better than the one you proposed. So excuse me but anyone will misunderstand what you are trying to do with the PC
What's wrong with being funny in class? All, and I do mean ALL of my teachers crack a joke or two in class. Because of that, there isn't a single teacher that everyone hates. Sure, there's a couple that most dislike due to their strict policies, and even they have their enduring moments. By your logic, they should have been fired ages ago, yet they are still here. Yes, we should take our job seriously. Being serious so the students don't mess around? Sure. The fact that you wanted to set up the PC the way you described is also fine. However, if we're going to be serious in-class, how are we going to show our friendly side? Really, since I'm wondering how we're going to interact with our students outside of class. Also, being funny for our introduction isn't going to hurt anything. We can still be serious about our job. Being comical with our introduction will allow the student see the more friendly side of us. It makes us more approachable, and allow us to interact with them outside the classroom, therefore giving us the chance be be friendly outside of the classroom like you wanted. Skipping straight to the roll call just makes me think of a certain history teacher from Hogwarts. For being unprofessional, setting our PC as a serious but out-going and friendly teacher is my goal, and its not the moment to pull jokes around the classes when its time to present ourselves and teaching to the students
perhaps outside of the class but not in one, that's as I said is the recipe for a bad unprofessional teacher.
