Let's not be too assertive yet, yeh? We're still learning How2Human, so picking up a little more of that before trying to...well, be assertive would be good.

Also we might still need Phyrra to active Jaune's aura IDK.

Ohmygods you actually did it. This is the best quest, and I love how you are getting the teams to form.

Super assertive and commanding Pyrrha is also fantastic.

Can we... have aura? I mean, Jaune obviously could, but we're not Jaune, at all. On the other hand, do we really need it? We're already pretty durable (I think), and we can just say our semblance is the ability to eat things really well, and also determine their stories. Or something like that.

We need to be able to at least comprehensively fake it, or it will be damn obvious we aren't human.

Also, unrelated to this, I was grinning so damn hard at Ruby having literally Is Red Riding Hood as her backstory, give or take.

In most know historical accounts, Joan of Arc is shown most explicitly to have carried a banner, while leading others into battle while armoured on horseback She might have carried a sword, but she claims to have never killed anyone herself.

This is why any piece of modern fiction making Jeanne d'Arc and her derivatives a violent warrior/knight leader/princess-type character is full of crap. :V

So basically you want to literally make him Sin from Guilty Gear.

(who even looks somewhat similar)

... yeah, I can dig it.

You two probably share responsibility with me for Zerban doing this: Behold, Jaune's weapon is a banner.

Hm. There were two more before you left. Did they just wander off in the middle of the argument? That wouldn't really shock you you suppose, after Ruby set the tone things more or less went nowhere but downhill. Still, moment of truth for you. You undo the clasps on Jaune's weapon case and retrieve what lies in the shaped hollow within. Holding it aloft as it unfurls...

Embroidered with golden Dust-active thread on a pure white background, the scent of radiating power hits you like a wall. You actually recoil a little, holding it at arm's length as you stand. It stands out among all the other actual deadly weapons enough that it draws all attention to you immediately.

Do you think Ruby might be able to mod our weapon for us? Not the banner, but the actual heft/staff/spear itself.

I'm thinking of a thick staff/spear which the banner rolls up into. Since, frankly, having all that cloth flapping everywhere, and getting caught on trees and shit, is liable to mess us up a bit at times. Making it self-rolling would be good for circumventing that.

We are Jaune, he's a part of us. And we do kind of need it. We recover well, but our body is still baseline squishy I think.

Also we need it because the Scrolls measure it for combat class, and it'll look real suspicious if we don't have any.

Men and demons alike may have dignity. But the equivocator and the vacillator, there is no place for him beneath heaven.

Clearly we are going to end up getting burnt as a witch.

Also, drill sergeant Pyrrha is Love.

...waaaaitaminute.
*Thoroughly reviews updates*

Zerban you dog! You cleverly concealed that this was an Exalted cross the whole time, and actually got SV to play as a Raksha!

Well played.

On one hand, we're clearly Sin which means HOT BEAK DRIVER COUNTERHIT ACTION. On the other hand we already have one boss, we don't need a second. On our third hand that we can create coming out of our chest like we're trying to Damned Fang a son of a bitch, we don't actually know what the fuck we're supposed to be doing.

Apart from anything else, I like Pyrrha, or at least what her canon personality wants to be past RWBY's shitty writing, and if the core of her is the same here then refusing to buckle under the force of her like she's not actually special is the best way to get on her good side.

In terms of long-term goals, if Pyrrha really is a ringer (which is a fairly distinct possibility, as Revlid points out) then she's the closest thing to staff to get close enough for us to get on her good side.

Yep Imrix and Revlid make a great deal of sense and honestly I kinda want to see more of what makes Jaune Dark different from canon. So

The irises themselves are the colour of dying leaves clinging to the branch by withered stalks, only days from falling for good.
So... Seems like the Silver Eyes aren't a thing here.
Her stare is... disconcerting. She seems to see through you. Past you. As if she can stare deep enough into the hollow beneath your stolen skin that she can see the Snow Queen's ice where your heart should be.
Then again...
"Um, I'm alright but I think Sky's-" the tall, broad, muscular man standing right next to her starts.
Who the heck is this? Random NPC? Cuz the last remaining guy on CRDL isn't that big.

And, Pyrrha, my god, Pyrrha. I love her attitude here. Also, snarky catty Blake. I'm liking most of these characters actually.

Also also, Weiss Schnee wanted Jaune on her team holy shit!

I'm very curious what Ren and Nora are doing though...

While I usually hate half-assing a choice, in this case I think it's best that try to remain our own person but not push it. Mainly because we are still learning How2Human as @Ridiculously Average Guy so eloquently put it.

I also noticed that Pyrrha is wearing trousers now.
