I think it would be funny to see if Stella has been involved in more History.

You have not found education to be a very pleasant thing. But you're not willing to give up so easily.
Rewards: Education. Social torment.
[X]Backlog, second half
You've finished of a big part of the pile. It wasn't worse than expected. Some of it was even entertaining. You doubt the same will be true for this pile, but you were surprised the last time.
Rewards: Miss Mere doesn't hate you. Learn useless things. Maybe something entertaining?

That kinda depends on how amusing it is. Since Evil feels good, and being amused feels good, being amusing must be Evil.

I'll take that as a compliment. I have a handy dandy document where I write down all the stuff I have vaguely foreshadowed, so I can continue to vaguely foreshadow it.

Complement to your skill at vague foreshadowing. Very evil.

On the one hand, this sentence is amusing.
On the other hand, the logical fallacy bothers me. A lot.
Let's do some science! First, you say it is amusing. We have shown that this means it is Evil. Second, you say it bothers you. This is also Evil, which fits the hypothesis. The truth is confirmed!

Also I wanna point out that this statement on the nature of Evil is in itself Evil. That's some wicked philosophical shit right there.

The climbing part felt a bit disconnected to what I know about climbing, so let's say it's cyber-punk climbing [put mirrorshades on and walk away in the rain]
Can you be more specific? (I mean that literally. I know it's sometimes impossible to put a finger on what's wrong, just that something is wrong.)

As it should be.

Since I somehow missed these, let's answer now.
Which, I assume, means she would have troubles in CQC with an augmented, professional soldier, but nothing less?
Basically. She knows a few basic drills, and can put a lot of speed and power into those, but someone who knows what they're doing would get her one or two counters deep.
I haven't read the discussion, but my guess is a cat, a body pillow, a blanket, or some combination thereof. (Mostly blanket, considering his last name.)
Not just the last name. I'm way too proud of something that dumb, though being kinda dumb is IC.

But is bothering someone Evil in general, or does it depend on the bothered person and/or the reason?

Not just the last name. I'm way too proud of something that dumb, though being kinda dumb is IC.
...are you telling me Blan is literally a Blan-Cat?

I realized that it was more about the climbing stuff. It's mostly coming from this part
The 7A series gives a great grip, but you have to oil them after every use. Brandon ropes are great, but the grip is really high.
I don't see any climbing stuff that might need oil (except perhaps leather shoes/gloves). As for the rope, I can't see what the grip would be.

Still I've rarely climbed in outdoor. And indoor you don't need much stuff, most of the time, you'll just use a belay device, and that's not mandatory if you're bouldering.

For the rest of the tools, they are great! They represent good idea of what high-tech applied to climbing would look like:
  • Ainar G-echo: find the best route in a wall!
  • grappling gun stake driver: open new routes anywhere!
  • simulator: doing famous route in your local gym!

In addition to friendship, we're getting skill that may be useful when reaching a good sniper perch!

I was thinking a metal part you'd drive into the rock, that would get rusty. As for grip, I meant that the rope has a pretty high friction, which would be a problem when running through a complicated harness, with lots of surface to rub against.
But is bothering someone Evil in general, or does it depend on the bothered person and/or the reason?
Yes.
...are you telling me Blan is literally a Blan-Cat?
I dunno about literally, but little children aren't exactly known for their dignified naming.

If you're worried about rust, there's stainless steel or aluminium.

As for grip, I meant that the rope has a pretty high friction, which would be a problem when running through a complicated harness, with lots of surface to rub against.

Usually, the rope is attached in one place to the harness to secure you. Or the rope is attached to the top of the wall and you're using a rappelling device, so the rope goes through it, not through the harness. You should avoid friction between the rope and the harness, since it will degrade the rope quickly.

"I am please you're taking your education serious. Your attendance is still, let's say irregular, but I am pleased you're making the attempt. I was concerned you would just blow off your education, and suffer for it in the future. That said…"

And then she looks down at the pile of completed assignments. If she's trying to say something with that, you don't get it.

"You work is very non-standard. Not necessarily wrong, and in some points even quite insightful. Still, your... interesting educational history shows. You will have a difficult time filling those holes on your own. I would like to assign a tutor to help you. However, you have shown your willingness to work, so I give you the choice."

And then she looks at you very earnestly. You can't tell if that's the augs or if she's really about to hug your troubles away. You hope not.

You're on the train on the way home when two sleazy men step in and do a very bad job of pretending to not look at you. It's really very bad. They can't even do the most basic stuff, like not blatantly scanning the train, or maybe staring at your reflection in the windows instead of straight at you. Even you know that much, and the only times you ever caught Reya or Zach was by sheer bloody coincidence.

For now, they seem content to be blatantly obvious, so you'll ride the train somewhere this can be dealt with in private. Very carefully, this might be first half of a double bluff, and the real attack will come from someone more capable. If nothing else, they did send off a message.

You switch trains on Wormwood station, heading to the eastern nightmarket. It's crowded and full of blind corners, with some empty spaces where you can deal with these clowns. Visiting wouldn't be too unusual for a girl your age. It's far enough into the under city that reception can get very spotty. The construction in the south quarter should help disguise any noise. And if things escalate, you have a stash there.

When you step out of the train at the nightmarket station, you see that the morons have called in reinforcements. They, too, are doing a great job calling attention to themselves.

You make a quick visit to the toilet to call up Carly for cleaning, and to let Lucas know you might need some info later on. It's telling that the pursuers just let you do that. In fact, it's downright insulting.

You walk out, and head to the market. They follow. You browse through a few stalls (you were low on spices anyway, and just because they don't merit it doesn't mean you shouldn't try to be professional). They do their best (i.e. very sad) to herd you towards the outskirts.

You oblige, and just a few alleys later, there are way fewer people around. They start moving in, probably to spook you. You increase your pace, turn a corner, and start running down a a side street. There's cursing behind you. What's up with these guys ? They weren't even prepared for the logical reaction of their ideal, clueless victim. Shameful.

You enter a derelict building and dive into one of the shadowed corners. You raise your pistole, waiting for your pursuers. Then you wait a little longer, until the first finally runs past you. You didn't think you were that far ahead.

You follow him with your gun until he reaches the next corner, and shoot him just before he gets out of sight. The body falls, hidden in the shadows and behind the wall.

Two and Three come in together, too close to repeat the trick, so you just shoot them both in the hallway. Four seems to be lost. Annoying. You drag the Two and Three around the corner to One. Then you give a call to Carly. Hopefully he can come up with something. Maybe a mutant gang attack. These guys look healthy, so a group close to devolving might chance it.

Hopefully you can track down the missing member, or a coverup will be much more difficult. Especially if he's getting reinforcements.

Fortunately you spot him wandering through the streets five minutes later, still out of breath. Not that it stops him from swearing at his phone.

You wait until he's in a nice secluded spot, and bring the affair to a close.

You have 7 Evilness points, and 5 Sniperness points.
Choose two actions for the next week.

[]Investigate irritating idiots
That attack really insulted your professional standards. You must find out who is responsible, and educate them about proper action.
Rewards: Information. Opportunity to shoot someone?
[]Kick puppies some more
Fiona invited you, and it's a great idea. Except it doesn't feel all that Evil if the authorities tell you to. Maybe you should keep her waiting some more. That would be evil, right?
Rewards: +1 Evilness. Play with kick puppies again.
[]Spent vast amounts of money for... professional reasons
Buying another rifle is something you totally need. For your work.
Rewards: Inner emptiness filled. For a moment.
[]Lazy days in the sun
Cats, reptiles and Blan all enjoy lying motionless. Cats and reptiles prefer doing it under the sun. Maybe Blan will like it too? You can buy some sunning lamps and find out.
Rewards: Blan continues what he's already doing, just slightly more comfortable? Maybe.
[]Go to school
Maybe you're doing this learning thing wrong. Miss Mere has suggested a tutor, so maybe that will help. Maybe it will be totally great.
Rewards: Education. Social torment.
[]Read Propaganda
As it turns out, reading history books is both hilarious and therapeutic. Maybe you'll start a collection.
Rewards: Hilarity. Might even learn something.
[]Contracts
Maybe it's time to do some more work? Better talk to Lucas about it.
Rewards: Possible contracts.

AN: For clarity: School actions are anything you do (mostly) at/for school.
Right now that's going to school. But if you join a club, that would count.

I don't get if choosing this action means we'll have one of our two weekly action be school or if it's in addition to school.

I just want to have a "school girl by day, trained killer by night" story.

Can't we get a few evilness points for a quadruple cold-blood murder? Even if they were so bad the collective gene pool of humanity has been improved by their death.
