    The Holy Grail War. Seven Masters take command of seven Servants and battle it out in a war hidden from the eyes of the unsuspecting mundane folk. All in the hopes of having their wish granted by the Holy Grail. The Fourth Holy Grail War ended in catastrophe with a great fire ravaging half a city and claiming hundreds of lives. Ten years later, Fuyuki City is once again host to this secret ritual even though it should be another fifty years before it comes again. Nonetheless, seven Masters shall once again do battle against each other alongside the seven Servants they have summoned. The last Master standing shall have their wish granted and their dreams realized.

    You have given a once in a lifetime opportunity as the Holy Grail has selected you to participate in this War as a Master. The Command Seals engraved on your hand are proof of that. Those are your links to the Servant who will fight by your side. But that will come later. First let's get a feel for the type of person we will be following.

    [ ] You are a student at the Clock Tower. Your family is fairly distinguished but politics have prevented them from truly standing out in magus society. You are an excellent student with great potential but you lack real-world experience though so your actual usefulness in the field of battle remains to be seen.

    [ ] You are a freelance magus. Your family history isn't special and your skills were dismissed as not being particularly impressive or useful by the Mages' Association. Knowing that it would be next to impossible to increase your standing, you decided to sell your services to whoever was willing to pay for them though you do still occasionally do odd jobs for the Clock Tower. Your skills in Magecraft are average but you're no stranger to a fight so you can handle yourself pretty well, though this will be your toughest job yet.

    [ ] You are a hedge mage. You had no idea that magic existed until a year ago. You have enough Magic Circuits that the Grail deems you qualified to take part in this War. Your Magecraft is subpar at best and you have no combat experience whatsoever so it will be a struggle just to survive.

    Hello and welcome to the Fifth Holy Grail War Quest (title subject to change). In this quest, you are a Master fighting to reach the Holy Grail. Sounds simple enough, but this might not be quite the same story you remember from Fate/Stay Night. How far the story deviates from canon depends on your choices.

    I am SlyGuy2895 and I will be your QM for this quest. I'm new to these boards and this is my first time running a quest so we'll see how this goes.

    The current choices just provide a general idea for the background of the character you're creating. Once that's been decided, we'll go into more detail in determining the character's goals, abilities, etc.

    Hmm, heck why not, lets play an actual orthrodox, normal magus for a change
     
    While playing as a Normal Mage would be a change from the gun(magic)slinging gong-hos people seem to be fond of, I really don't want Toshaka to recognize us for some reason.

    When the vote comes up for type of servant, is Ruler allowed? Would be an interesting turn as a Ruler/Ruler's master quest.

    Should roll to decide if rulers allowed or not, Or you can just veto it if you want to go canon.

    I agree that a Ruler quest would be interesting and I have an idea on how to do it. However it won't be a option for this quest so if it comes up I'll veto it.
