Oh dear.

Edit:
"Genius is not enough. A bright spark independently arrives at a vision for a peaceful utopia, and his first world-changing act is to create a weapon that heralds a new scale of destruction. This is not an anomaly, Gōketsu. Every genius ends up drunk on their own brilliance in one way or another."
pffffffffffffffff

[X] Interlude: Hazo invents a seal that turns the entire universe into paperclips.

This interlude was good, but I am really eager to see the game start again.

Is there a time horizon for when the mechanics will be solid enough for that? We seem to be a dishearteningly long way away right now. Mechanics drafted, then sent out to players to look at, then presumably revised character sheets for Hazou are drafted and voted on (since the other geniin are NPCs the GMs could just rewrite them without a vote, I think). Are we still weeks away?

Rules are maybe three quarters done? We've got most of the main systems online, but a couple are still missing and there's a zillion smaller decisions still to be made.

[X] The Death of Shikigami
[X] A family-fun outing into the deeper levels of the Goketsu basement!

Which is why we must do it.

Best case scenario: we get all the explosions ever.

But what worries me is... What happens if they start feeding off of each other? What if we end up with a Shikaku who believes every word that came out of Kagome's mouth and acts accordingly? What happens if he starts extrapolating implications, and sharing them with his new friend, who in turn extrapolates his own conclusions from Shikaku's conclusions, in a never ending positive feedback loop of chemtrails and steel beams?

What if Shikamaru comes home tonight to find that his dad is demanding that he wear a tinfoil lupchanzen-proof hat? Will he ever forgive us?

Does it matter?

[X] Shikaku hears about Kagome's conspiracy theories
[X] Kagome hears about Shikaku's conspiracy theories
- The ones about our competence

[X] Shikaku hears about Kagome's conspiracy theories

All according to our master plan, to slowly shift the genre of the setting! Muahahahah!

Rather than dwell on the fact that she lived in the same building as two potential harbingers of the apocalypse, Kei chose to attend to the basic norms of social interaction.
satisfying Kagome (appalled rant time 15 mins or less)
This is not a coincidence because nothing is ever a coincidence
This chapter was brilliant, @Velorien. Stop writing such excellent filler or @eaglejarl and I will be incentivized to drag out the rules revision so you have to write more of it :p

I believe I speak for all the QMs when I say I agree wholeheartedly.
