@eaglejarl
- Which code words did we establish with our allies (either in Leaf or during the time in the fort)?
- Did we share any seals?
- What did Haru and Sakura say when asked about their combat abilities (the non-secret ones people presumably share if they want to work together as a team)?
If this is the case, I do warn that it's... mildly-to-moderately discouraging given that our strategies for the Chuunin Exams are predicated on our current power levels, which I doubt will stay the same relative to others in the transition to the new system.I presume this is game design related issue. How does this affect the current vote?
I think our stats (under the current system) are high enough that it'll be ok, so long as the Wakahisa is taken out relatively early. High character stats are a huge part of the reason I made such an ambitious plan afterall. I wouldn't have proposed we paint a giant target on our back if I didn't think we (at least, Hazou, Keiko, Noburi, and Akane) could take it. If the combat system changes, I'd update from a ~90% chance of Hazou surviving to a ~30% chance, depending on the specifics.Also, I am assuming that victory is all but impossible or that we are highly likely to lose at this point, despite the confidence of other players. So we'll have to roll new characters anyway, unless our enemies did not have nefarious intention.

That doesn't sound foreboding at all. Hope the quest isn't going to get cancelled or we got wiped out in the initiative roll.

I have no idea why this made me think of this, but I just thought about how it might be if we had, like, instead of a 4 day voting period, a ~30 minute voting period, where we just got to decide what Hazou's actions were for the next round.[x] Testing thing 1

It is amusing to me how quickly we move from "okay we can handle this" to "AAAAAAAAAAAA PANIC".In retrospect, I really should have PM'd that. Sorry for the alarm, folks.
Let me offer some reassurance: Thursday is going to be an interlude because @Velorien is completely out of spoons and @OliWhail and I are not far behind. Also, none of you are about to get powered down (in relative or absolute terms). We're discussing some things that will be to the advantage of the playerbase. Full details tomorrow, once Velorien is awake to review the draft of the announcement.

Here are some tests to see if I can figure it out. If some of you wanted to throw some extra votes out there so I can see how the tally interprets them, it would be great
I can assure you neither of those are on the table at present.That doesn't sound foreboding at all. Hope the quest isn't going to get cancelled or we got wiped out in the initiative roll.
Significantly.
We'll do our best.which I doubt will stay the same relative to others in the transition to the new system.
That sounds potentially amazing and hilarious. Might use it in an upcoming project...I have no idea why this made me think of this, but I just thought about how it might be if we had, like, instead of a 4 day voting period, a ~30 minute voting period, where we just got to decide what Hazou's actions were for the next round.
I have never in my life been able to wrap my head around this voting system with all its ridiculous sub(-sub)*-points. Can someone explain it to me? For example, suppose you were voting for three unrelated questions:
1) Choose a place to live
2) Choose a profession
3) Choose a meal
