The Head of the Storm (Age of Sigmar Lady Celestant Quest)

[X] Mirial
[X] With Runeblade and Thundershield
[X] Purge the Vermin
From what little I know about the Skaven, we really shouldn't give them the slightest chance to dig themselves in.

I should mention, just because you don't take a mission doesn't mean it won't be done. There are many forces in Azyr to deal with threats, both Mortal and Stormcast alike.
What will be your first, and defining task?
Hmm, well it does say defining task, so what should it be? What effect would it have?

Hunt the Damned seems to be the one most focused on protecting others, since we're doing it because the Beastmen/Chaos followers are making it dangerous for people outside the city, which is something I'd like us to focus on.

Skaven gnawhole capbilities are decidedly something that should be handled right.

Can we tame a mount later on or is that opportunity gone?

What? Can somebody explain this ? I'm not much into WH Fantasy lore.

AoS lore.

So basically, you as a Stormcast are basically Imortal. When slain, your soul and non-severed parts of your body or geat is carried back to Azyr to be reformed by Sigmar's power.

(note there are a few things that can permakill you, such as the Axes of Mighty Lords of Khorne)

During this process, there is the possibility of doing a trial that will win you the respect and loyalty of either a Dracoth, or if you are very lucky and powerful, a Stardrake. The process is kinda vague, so I can't really tell you any more ATM, but that's the gist of it.

Well, this seems like a rather straightforward vote, so I'll call it here. The winning combo, by unanimous vote, is

Update should be out by tonight.

Introduction Pt. 4: What You Did
And so you went out of Azyrheim at the head of your chamber, marching to war for the first time in over a Century. You were tasked with eliminating a nest of vile ratmen who had burrowed through the ether between realms and begun constructing a Nest for themselves and their get, merely the vanguard of an unending tide of verminous wretches who sought the downfall of all other beings.

This would not be permitted.

But, what are the specifics of this, your first battle, and the one which would arguably define both you and your Chamber as unique within the Legions of Sigmar.

What do you lead to exterminating the Skaven?

[] A Warrior Chamber
The largest and most tactically variable chamber, contains a good mix of Liberators, Judicators, Paladains, and Prosecutors

[] A Harbinger Chamber
Containing a larger number of Angelos retinues, they act as the Vanguard of the Storm. Exceptionally fast and maneuverability, but lacks the resources to quicky deal with or counter large monsters or elite, heavily armored infantry/cavalry.

[] An Examplar Chamber
Containing a larger number of Paladin retinues, they are the the Best of the Best. A nigh-unstoppable juggernaut of Sigmarite, but lacks many speedy elements, and can be outmaneuvered by skirmishers, flyers, and Light Calvalry.

How did you purge them?

[] From the Shadows
-Honor has little place on the field of battle, and you are not above using underhanded tactics to eliminate your foes. Your chamber approached under the cover of darkness, gleaming armor smudged with dirt and mud and weapons muffled with scraps of cloth until you were nearly at the roughshod walls of the Skaven Camp. The first the Ratmen knew of your attack was when your warriors vaulted the top of the fortification (or in some cases, crashed right through) and fell upon the creatures like the unleashed tempest. Victory was swift and near-painless for you, earning the respect of your warriors; but it was certainly not what your fellow Celestants would call 'Honorable'. (+3 to Combat, +5 Intrigue)

[] Steady Advance
-You did not want to try anything extravagant or overly difficult for this, your first battle. So your Liberators locked shields and led the advance, a steady tramp across the open ground surrounding the newly-made fort, Judicators keeping the rat's heads down with volleys of arrows and bolts while your Prosecutors swooped above, casting their hammers down at the vermin below. You took some losses from the Skaven guns, but soon enough your Retributors had battered down the gates with their hammers and your warriors poured in, meeting the Skaven defenders with oaths to Sigmar on their lips. It was a hard-fought victory, and certainly not as easy as it could have been, but you led your women valiantly, and were the first into the fray when the doors came down. And that means something. (+4 to Combat, +4 to Leadership)

[] Shock and Awe (Unavailable for a Harbinger Chamber)
-Through Prayer and no small amount of bargaining, you were able to get permission for a Stormstrike, and so you left your Paladins and most of your Liberators in Azyrheim while you led the rest of the Chamber into battle. The Skaven rallied to the walls, preparing to repel this threat.
And that is when a dozen Azure Bolts from the stormy skies above seared down into the center of the enemy fort, depositing a lot of angry paladins within weapon range.
By the time your forces reached the enemy position, they found little more than bloodied and charred piles of Skaven surrounding your battered but triumphant warriors. You led the reunited Host down into the tunnels below, and left nothing alive. (+3 to Piety, +3 to Logistics, +2 to Combat)

[] From the Heavens (Unavailable for an Exemplar Chamber)
-You re-organised your chamber into Hamerstrike Forces and Vanguard Wings, and sent your Prosecutors high into the skies, the angelic warriors approaching the enemy through the low thunderheads summoned by your Lord Relicator. While you approached the fortress alongside your Judicators and Liberators, the Angels came streaking down from the heavens, proceeded by hurled hammers and javelins, before strikes of thunder summoned your Retributors and more than half your Liberators vanished with a CRASH to appear alongside their Prosecutor sisters as they plunged into the fray. You smashed through the gates of the fort and fell upon the panicking Ratmen from behind, slaughtering them to the last. (+4 Leadership, +2 Combat, +2 Intrigue)

The second half of a Stormcast's name is known as a Battle Name: taken to mark a significant achievement in conflict or a trait about themselves: it can only be adopted after a Warrior's first battle, though some abstain for one reason or another. In addition, Chambers are usually named after the Battle Name of their Celestant, such as the Hammerhands of Lord Vandus or the Steelsouls of Lord Gardus.

With this first victory, you have earned the right to take a Battle Name. Will you?

I love the 'unstoppable juggernaut' bit.
