As a certain Ward likes to say "Fucking Bullshit!"

E: That was a little more of a boost than I thought it was gonna be to be honest.

A little?
Best of the Best -> Life of Arete
A well lead life is one of excellence in all things, from the stitch of cloth to prowess on the battlefield to skill in oration. The best and finest is thus demanded of and by all to show their virtue and honour.
Pros: Increase Martial gain from raising elite units; bonus Culture, Tech and/or Mysticism for certain actions; effect of criticals and doubles greatly increased
Cons: Increased potential Martial loss in fighting, increased social stratification, increased costs

We now get bonus Tech and Mysticism, as opposed to only bonus Culture (and we kinda are in a perpetual Tech crunch because Wildcat), and we get better crits. That's amazing.

Also, with rethinking of Free City vote:

Oh hey Redshore immediately became a True City it looks like.

I think we waited too long.

But it also means we have 1 more turn of population explosion, doesn't it?

Because I care more about the security of the Ymaryn than I do about nigh-perfect optimization for a turn or two.

The thing is we've constantly ignored any possibility doing something of the increasingly blatant issues of our compromised society eating away at us. If we'd done anything about it before hand I would be alright letting it ride a bit longer under an incompetent, but as is it's now blowing up in our face I don't feel we have the luxury.

What if they hit us when a Waaaaaagh arrives?

In regards to Waaaghs I do have to wonder how serious things are in regards to the war mission the HH sent.

Wait, does inviting them to Games preclude us from warring them later? Or is it only so under the admin hero?
I'm going to bet that declaring war on one of the games' members would damage our relationship with every other member (especially since we invited them in the first place) and make us take a stability hit.

There's no reason not to invite everyone, as we can still declare war against the HK after our admin hero dies. Also, it would be a good way to distract the nomads if we show them the strength our neighbors have :p I don't think the TH have recovered their losses entirely yet, so they might look tasty to the Storm Wolves.

Electing the admin king and leaving Redshore as a True City means he could more effectively manage/clean out the cesspool it has become.

*looks at greek city states*
*looks at modern Olympics starting before WWI and not magically enforcing world peace*

During games themselves, maybe; but we are playing at 'higher resolution' than that, in which this makes little to no sense and not how it ever worked IRL.

Before everyone jumps on the bandwagon, remember that Cosmopolitan Acceptance got changed. It now inflicts temp Econ damage every time we take refugees. The last CA tree upgrade forced us to take more refugees. If that trend continues, it could very well be dangerous.
They're not listening, friend. Best just hope you're wrong, but if you're right, rub this post (and my own stating similar things) in their face.

Solution: invite nomads to the games and throw salt at them while your dudes flex at them :V

Salty carrot and oiled up beefy sticks, what can be better?
You simply cannot play hoping for the best outcome every turn, especially when we don't have a great diplomancer. Good civilizations play with a margin of safety.

This is the war vote, don't invite the Highlanders and don't pick the Admin king who isn't going to go to war.

If you're fine letting the HK live, then go ahead and invite them and take the admin king.
Because I care more about the security of the Ymaryn than I do about nigh-perfect optimization for a turn or two. I get it's galling for the thread to go to war- but these guys are repeat offenders, who even when they are handled invariably ensure that the war others drag us into is way bloodier for both sides.

Xohyr probably wouldn't have been razed if the HK didn't attack us, the Battle of Bloodgulch would have been much less bloody, etc. What if they hit us when a Waaaaaagh arrives? Or if the TH come at us again? Or what have you? There's literally nothing the Admin Hero could do that would be worth more than the tens of thousands of lives saved by ensuring the HK can't stab us when our back is turned.
I am with you on this, Brothers.

@Academia Nut will we have a vote to punish the guilds for their negligence in the next update?
I hope we get to make examples.

Inviting the HK feels somewhat like a lesser version of Salt Gift + War mission. A pre-emptive tea-bagging if you will.

Of course this might back-fire if they show up and WIN of course. Risk vs Reward of course.
Voting NO because I want a chance to run a Enforce Justice through the provinces before we give too much autonomy. A sort of rinsing before we hand it off.

(Edit: King option, Admin kings tend not to steer the nation wrong, and will likely address several issues that are growing worse that the thread is accidentally ignoring, like most of our past admin heroes. Except moreso as he is an Admin Genius, who may prevent several issues arising) (Edit again: Speculation: an Admin hero may lead to a better form of the Guild/Faction system, which might help medium/long term ) Edit end.

Approval voting the WB, despite a powerful Wagon.

All of these are great (even the Temple I didn't choose), and I refuse to choose if I don't have to. Also, I sort of like the idea of being one of the only names under some of these less appreciated options.

Guys why are we inviting the TH but not the HK? Both of them attacked us without due cause so both of them should not be invited inviting one but not the other is quite hypocritical. The khem became our friends when they decided to marry their blood with ours so they are cool.
