Looks like a call for what I'm guessing are memories of whoever is talking to us. Apparently our guy became infamous for a while, maybe we got a tyrant? Or some sort of rebel that overthrew and took over the throne? Either way, flexibility seems good.

Getting home is relaxing, the small apartment is, despite its size, Definitely yours. It has only two rooms: a kitchenette/living room, and a small bedroom. In the living room, your decorations are sparse, you only have a small table against one wall near the kitchenette and a bookshelf and comfortable chair across from it by the window. The space in the middle is hardwood with a comfortable rug over it, and the bookshelves are filled near bursting. One shelf is devoted to schoolbooks and various technical manuals and how-to books. The rest of the shelves are filled with fiction and a variety of them at that. Though fantasy is the most common, you also have sci-fi and mystery, a few historical fiction, a handful of political and philosophical books, and a small section of really trashy romance novels.
The room itself isn't really clean, like all people you have collected a bit of clutter. A variety of jackets and coats are hung near the door and a small pile of various shoes (Dress shoes and boots and sneakers and running shoes) are piled next to the door, and you add your converse to the pile as you enter. In the corners are various things you've collected or stashed out of the way. In one corner a tall lamp, with a box of tools near its base, is standing. In the other, a small pile of exercise equipment, a rolled up yoga pad and an exercise ball among them. leaning against the bookshelf is a tall stack of cardboard boxes, with words like 'Summer clothes' and 'Art supplies' scrawled on them in sharpie.
The kitchenette isn't much different, with a half-sized dishwasher under the sink, and a small oven next to it. It's got a few dirty dishes in the sink, which you haven't washed yet, and an empty pizza box is sitting next to it. The fridge is also half sized, but that's more than enough for what you usually store in it, nothing but a bunch of vegetables, a few wrapped bundles of various meats and dairy, and a few Tupperware's of leftovers.
Deciding that you've sat around for long enough today, despite your walks through town, you slip into your bedroom, which while equally sparse is also far messier than the living room, with a few articles of clothing laying around from where you pulled them off. You rummage through your wardrobe for a moment and come out with a pair of loose black sweats and move back to the living room, pulling your yoga matt out and unrolling it while rolling the rug up a bit. taking a moment to stretch and get limber, you start out a slow sequence of yoga poses. For about an hour, as the last of the sunset vanishes and your lamp gets turned on, you practice keeping our balance and flexing your body. By the end of it, you're feeling relaxed and a bit sweaty. you roll back up the yoga mat and slide into the bathroom for a quick shower.
Coming back out you slide on a pair of loose flannel pajamas before you sink into the armchair. You fumble through the shelves till you come to The Hobbit, a classic. You sink back down and immerse yourself for what has to be the latest of over a hundred readings of the book, letting yourself get sucked in by Tolkien's world of hobbits and dwarves and goblins. you get just past the goblin caves when a yawn hits you and you glance up to see the clock on the wall showing its almost midnight. Sliding a piece of paper as a bookmark, you set the book down and head to bed, rubbing a hand through your loose black hair as you do so, fluffing it out of the damp pattern it had been stuck in.
You lay down and within ten minutes you sleep.
1- the Beginning.
The first feeling is heat. Intense, overwhelming heat. You feel it fill your form, your structure, and you feel it change you. Bit by bit you loose what shape you possessed, and then you feel a change, the heat begins to lessen, but for the first time you shift and move.
And then pressure. regular, focused, precise.
And then the heat returns, only to be soon replaced by pressure once more.
And the cycle repeats.
You can feel as the pressure gives form. you feel yourself change.
You feel a strange force flow through you, and where it passes, you change. no longer simple and crude, but flawless, focused. across your surface, you feel strange designs, pressed into you and flowing, and through them, you feel that same power invade deeper. Across your core, you feel pressure, intent. Part of you resists, but it's almost trivial for the pressure to break that intent.
And then it changes. It all changes.
For the first time, you hear.
"My masterwork. The greatest blade I've ever made."
You feel pride as you are held, sun shining cross your form, as it reflects off you, you let the energy flow, and for some reason you perceive Color. Black and blue and red. And then comes the whisper.
"You are not perfect. But I cannot make you so. Only time can. I only hope that you do not break before you can fulfill your promise. Before the War comes."
And at that, you feel a sheath slide over you, and realize it is you too. a piece of yourself, shaped and fused with wood and leather. and you feel content.
But that shall change.
All things Change.

It sounds kind of like we were some kind of sentient weapon, or a person who had their remains forged into a sword or something. Apparently our past life made a PROMISE in ITS OWN past life... Or something like that.

Income is generally covered under your scholorship, since you have a full ride to the college.
In most cases, you have enough to fully cover for living expenses. That means rent, school, food and utilities. But not much else. If you pick up research projects or special items, then I'll list your disposable income. Which right now is about $150.

Well getting to know our peers sounds pretty good. Physical fitness is a sure thing. Can't fall behind school work either. Looks like we're also good on the money front for a while so no need to put in some effort there for now.
