[X] "I used to be more collected than that before my current predicament. I presume that my... dissolution in the past has somehow also damaged my emotional faculties. Well, either that or my aggressions are somehow overcharged while I'm under your command, Summoner."
[X] Yes.
-[X] Weiss.
I looked at Weiss before speaking. "I used to be more collected than that before my current predicament. I presume that my... dissolution in the past has somehow also damaged my emotional faculties. Well, either that or my aggressions are somehow overcharged while I'm under your command, Summoner." Weiss tilted her head when I said dissolution, clearly confused, as was Ruby and Yang. Blake rose an eye brow at me. "What do you mean by "dissolution" Michael?" She asked. "I...really would prefer to not talk about it." I say, because I really did not want to talk about my time being mere fragments across the entirety of existence. "What I would like to talk about is which of you is being selected for the one v one matches. I would select Weiss, as with me we would have a numerical superiority and significant increase in our chance of obtaining victory. After all, you all caught a glimpse into just how powerful I am." I said, because honestly if wining this tournament was the end goal, then why not all but guarantee your victory?
Ruby seemed to be a bit nervous in her reply. "Well actually we were going to pick Yang since she's really good at fighting and overpowering her opponent. Her Semblance really helps." She then looks me in my eyes. "Plus, I'm pretty sure that you would be considered cheating and get us disqualified." Oh, that would rather be counterproductive towards our victory wouldn't it? This is most certainly a conundrum, now how to solve it? Perhaps...
"I'm fine with this decision." Weiss said and I felt my mental train crash and burn, what? Weiss turned to me. "While I am certain that you would not be considered cheated as you are part of me and my Semblance, there is still the fact that you are simply too powerful and if petty insults can drive you to do so much damage then there is a chance, a rather significant one perhaps, that you could seriously injure our opponent if we fight. Unless you can somehow guarantee that you won't go berserk in the tournament, I cannot in good conscience allow you to fight."
Yang looked between me and Weiss for a bit before turning to Ruby. "I'm cool with them fighting instead, but the call is up to you sis." She said, and Ruby looked conflicted. After an hour she looks up at me. "I've decided..."
I manifested and floated beside Weiss as she walked up into the arena. I was actually worried that Ruby would stick with her decision to have Yang do battle, but thankfully she had allowed me and Weiss to be the representatives of Team RWBY instead, but only after I swore to not lose my temper on our opponent, who happened to be one Mercury Black. I could easily see that this young man was trained a great deal in combat and from what had been told to me, he used a kick based style that was amplified by his weapons. I had pointed out that they were strangely similar to Yang's own weapon Ember Celica but for kicks instead of punches.
"Huh, honestly thought you were going to pick the blond bombshell instead. But I guess your new bodyguard makes her kinda redundant now." Mercury said.
Do not break his legs, do not break his legs, do not break his legs.
Oh, I really wanted to break his damn legs.
