@Academia Nut
Can you explain more about the new Restoration of Order? Does it always cost 1 Legitimacy or is it only on worse rolls?

The previous one only modified stability: -1, then (+1d4-1)
This one seems like it adds 1d3-1 stability and loses legitimacy 75% of the time. This is mostly a guess though.

Glass is missing from the tech list. Or maybe it needs more investment.
...err, "primitive glass" was on there when i made my post a while ago?
Economy 4 [-1]->4 [-1]
-MW Calls For Aid -2
-??? +2
Econ Expansion Econ Expansion 7->6
-MW Calls For Aid +2
-??? -3
AN has clarified that we got +2 econ (and thus -2 slots) from refugees from the Hath's heroic age. That means the MW aid only gave 1 expansion back, not 2.

That said, i like your vote ad was just about to do the same...only i was gonna have the war mission as the main tag and the blackbirds as teh double secondary tags :p

This seems good. If we end up at 3 stability we can just do a secondary PG....but if we end up at 2 stability we can do a main PG and be maxed
Err, we can't get to 3 stability if our legitimacy is at 2...and for that matter RoO only goes up to Legit-1, so we couldn't get to 3 even if we someone dodged the legitimacy hit...i thinkwe can still get to match our new legitimacy with it though... @Academia Nut is the cap for the original legitimacy, or the new legiitmacy?

Looks like Main doesn't cost any Legitimacy though.
We can only end up at 2 stability from RoO now.
Untrue, it is only the limit of when it can be used. For instance, before we could only use up to 0 Stability, but it could still leave us at Stability 1.

Why not a secondary Blackbird?

Huh, I guess there must be a settled group up there somewhere they're getting those from.

Ah. Drat. We really do need to just spend a turn or three on Defense policy at some point, though possibly now is not the time.

No, I don't think Baby Boom is over yet.

We can only end up at 2 stability from RoO now.
* Max Stability: Legitimacy - 1

* Max Stability: Legitimacy
I believe it means we can only take the action at legit -1, not that it can't go above the stability in a roll.

I distinctly remember people asking AN if a RoO could roll for +2 stability and have it overflow past 0.

Since this seems like the most bandwagon-y way to stop the useless Library vote

Blackbirds gives a tech advancement and shores up our martial score while also helping as an anti-corruption measure. I'm good with it.

But we already got the majority of conspirators:
The payout was: -2 Legit, -1 Stability; -1 Legit, -1 Stability; -1 Legit; No change. You got the vast majority of the conspirators though.
And this other quote suggests that those that ran aren't likely to be doing much corruption themselves for the time being:

Sure, if they can be found with anyone else involved in corruption.
We've more or less broken them, and can't do much more to them now, why spend a legitimacy and gain at most 1 stab (and risk losing stab) while we've explicitly been warned that the nomads are beating us back and likely to take out the metal workers and make things worse?

We still have no evidence that king actions+province actions cause Symphony to trigger. And even if we do trigger it, that's actually bad since it'd over-complete the project which would go into building Library infrastructure project which we don't really need right now and will cost us resources that could be better spent elsewhere.
We have WoG somewhere that you need a king action in conjunction with province action to trigger symphony.

It wouldn't necessarily go into a library infrastructure project; we didn't automatically get a new aqueduct started.

We get a choice, as usual. And usually that choice comes with a significant bonus.

@Academia Nut our baby boom is still going strong right? I ask because it isn't shown in the stats sheet that economy will raise this turn and knowing whether we need to expand econ to keep our city is important.

Always. Society has changed and it no longer works the way it did before.

is the cap for the original legitimacy, or the new legiitmacy?

You can use it up to Legitimacy - 1, but if you go over your new Legitimacy the extra stability is wasted.

Does a main Restoration of Order Project cost Legitimacy?

Yes.

This is what i was thinking even before seeing that it didn't put us into the red anywhere.
The main competing suggestion seems to be main-ing Blackbirds. Since that will have extra effects, and since Blackbirds are a form of police, perhaps it would take care of the (few) remaining conspirators as a side benefit? RoO has costs, after all.

I don't think you realize just how fluid things are. I don't think the idea of having a national identity is even a concept yet. According to AN's own words in this post we'll dealing with groups that can and will change (as seen with the Xohs in this last update).
Except having some kind of shared identity is what really helps make those things work. Establishing commonalities is of key import in such a scenario and it's harder now to expand the us or them attitude to include multiple polities at this point.

1) That WoG was ambiguous. I interpreted it as needing at least 3 [Main] actions to trigger.
2) We didn't finish the Aqueduct with anything to spare. That choice was from the completion bonus, not excess completion.
