Need the Stability more as we'll eat 2 more hits on purpose, plus we have the Econ for it. Vineyards later.
Breeding program is also kind of kickass.
While we can afford the diplomacy to sway their king, long term we need more navy to counter coastal aggression.

And yes to techup. They can get stepfarms on their own if they wanted. Might as well be paid for it

hmmmm. give up our big advantage in exhange for a possible big synergy with the dam....

Diff checker for civ sheet:
Diff Checker
General
Diplomacy 14 (max, overflowing) [+1]
Economy 13
Martial 11 {15} (partial over limit)
Diplo 13 [+1] -> 14 [+1]
Just the usual overflow
Econ 6 -> 13
6 + 5 (mine) + 2 (CA influx) + 4 (Expand Econ) - 3 (Mine) - 2 (Grand Sacrifice) = 12...so i clearly missed an econ somewhere...hmm
EDIT: This was fixed to 12.
Martial 10 {12} -> 11 {15}
1 Martial from mine, then an extra 2 from the econ boost
Cultural
Art 7
Mysticism 4
Prestige 8
Mysticism 3 -> 4, from the study stars. Is the mine no longer canal worthy,
EDIT: the mine is still canal worthy, we now have art 8 and mysticism 5.
@Academia Nut ?
About the only major development was that the latest chariot building push had been integrating the new iron tools and they had been making strides forward with the finer work they could do, as well as looking into using iron in the construction. Thus far they had managed to make a lighter but sturdier model that thus was able to roll faster.
No update to the tech sheet, at least yet.
As for the iron mine, it went alright with no major disasters, but the ore quality was much poorer than from the Bleeding Cliffs. Still, the lack of disaster was definitely something that the pro-metal shamans had been looking for, even if the opposed faction pointed to the general malaise and stated that the poor quality of the ore meant that obviously most of its potency and thus curse was already lost. Still, the new iron was of considerable benefit and the People immediately put it to good use.

+5 Econ, +1 Martial
Dang that is way worse than the first :/ only 2 net econ and 1 net martial...
In Northshore a flash flood had diverted a portion of one of the rivers there into a new course, cutting away the soil to expose a good quality gypsum deposit shot through with nodules of shiny grey cubes. By all indications there weren't many practical uses, but as a source of materials for artistic endeavours there was certainly something there.
I don't know enough to guess what this might signify or if it might be good to mine soon :p
Choose a response to general malaise
[] Enforce Law (0 to 1 Stability, greater odds of stability gain, +2-3 Centralization)
[] Improve Annual Festival (-2 Econ, +1 Stability, +1 Art chance for additional effects)
[] Build boats to tie the People together (-2 Econ, +1 Econ end of turn, +1 Econ and Diplo next turn, additional effects, tiny chance of innovation)
[] Develop vineyard (-1 Econ, +???)
All nice, but probably annual festival, so long as the vineyard can be done in the future...
What to do with the white calf?
[] Sacrifice it
[] Breed it
Again, i don't know enough to know if this signifies anything...like are all-white cows more or less healthy, or anything? or have breeding issues? or is this just good to have?
Cosmopolitan Acceptance Triggers
+2 Econ, no stab loss
Sweet! =D
Choose a response to the Hathatyn situation
[] Kick them out of Southshore (War Mission)
[] Send an envoy (-1 Diplomacy)
[] Build boats to counter them (-2 Econ, +1 Econ and +1 Diplo next turn, other potential effects)
[] Ignore them
Boats are good...but so is space, and we're at the martial limit, so...
"For the past several generations the Xohyssiri have been forced into only our lands immediately around our fair city, and while this has rankled many, it also forced us to become clever. Our trade with you brought many ideas, and while we have not been able to replicate your achievements, we have been attempting to make do with what land we do have to get more use out of it. We have made several discoveries and changes and we grow more food than ever, but we know that you still exceed us in these matters. However, we think our workers have new insights that we would like to share with you, in exchange for teaching some of your insights," the delegate explained.

The king blinked a few times and then said, "Huh."

The Xohyssiri wish to trade!
[] Yes (Trade step farming for chinampas)
[] No thank you
oooh, interesting...more econ is always great =D

We can send our excess Martial to one of the Marches. We need to endeavour to minimise the amount of war we do if we want to get more "nice guy" traits and we don't want to permanently poison our relationship with our immediate neighbour by going into full-on war.

Step farming is actually not incredibly useful for the Xoh because they aren't in a hilly region where that's necessary. To some degree that's true in reverse, that we can't really make easy use of the chinampas, but on the other hand we have a Ymaryn lake not!Black Sea, so it's a bigger gain for us.
Yes, stick our dick in the lowlands right when the meatgrinder is about to go on full spin, because there is absolutely nothing wrong with this plan.
This might be one of our last chances to grab the real breadbasket of the region, so we kind of do need to get moving on this.

We should avoid the war mission for now since if we avoid it, we can give the provinces the actions needed to support us and finish this in one turn with positive stability:
[Main] Study Health
[Main] Grand Sacrifice
and we'll be at Mysticism 1 assuming the mine pays out its Mysticism as expected.

I just really want more boats. So tempted to go for the boat option on the first pick.
