Rukia is going to get a BSoD when she sees it, better have it happen in safe-ish conditions. And while OOC we know this fight is going to be the easiest one we'll have in the entire quest sans tutorial, IC this is the hardest one yet.
Why do you think this fight is going to be easy?
Two unknown Hollows and limited support.

I want that sword released to avoid dying here.

Rukia is going to have a breakdown when she sees it and we will be forced to defend her. That has a higher chance of killing her or us than fighting carefully without it does.

With her on backup we can effectively fight both Hollows, or if we can't, hold them off until Ichigo gets here.

I'd rather have the BSOD over with early. There's no guarantee that we'll ever be able to expose it to her in a 'safe' situation and the later we drag this out the more likely we end up having her BSOD during something much worse.

[X] Hit and Run. Keep their attention with hit and run tactics, only going for a decisive strike once you have an opening from Rukia.
-[x] Use your control over the water Nejibana produces to hinder the Hollow's manoeuvrability by tripping, intercepting and hammering them while Rukia binds them in place long enough for you to exploit the opening.
-[x] Your faster and even without the Wavedancer more manoeuvrable then Rukia. Keep the Hollow away from Rukia so she can effectively support you by creating openings.
-[X] You should lookout for opportunities to assist Rukia with Kido.

[X] Yes, release Nejibana.

I would much rather have it happen when at least Ichigo is there. There is a very good chance that one of us could get seriously injured if Rukia freezes. Which she will.

I'm not saying to keep it hidden forever, but we don't strictly need it here and using it would be more detrimental than not.

We're fighting TWO Hollows.

We got injured fighting ONE.

We have Rukia to keep the pressure off of us.

The moment we pull out Nejibana Rukia WILL become useless. We'll have to defend her AND fight both Hollows at the same time.

If you really want Aizen's attention that much - if we were to believe his own ramblings, he is watching Ichigo quite a lot - then don't attract it in the middle of f****** combat, when our backup hasn't arrived yet, and the one useful person we have is horribly traumatized and will break down when we pull out Nejibana.

At least have the decency to be consistent. The majority voted to bring Rukia here, because we wanted backup. Now, you want to make the backup useless to, what, show off? You realize, of course, that we can simply ask Ichigo to train with us, have Rukia be there, and release Nejibana during the training? Or, hell, why not simply ask Rukia about her own Zanpakutou, most likely surprising her, and giving us the perfect opening to tell her its name?

Dear God.
These are the people who want to play a tactic-focused character?

That is far from certain.

If we use Nejibana we can control the field with our water and keep the Hollows away from Rukia while she has time to cast, giving us a better chance to win.
And even if she doesn't help the improved control will help us survive until Ichigo comes. Nejibana's water and our skill to move on it is our best trick for now.

Don't risk our life by metagaming with the idea that Rukia might freeze up.

I'll stop metagaming when other players stop trying to metagame by voting for releasing Nejibana specifically to cause Rukia's breakdown, in spite of Karin having already decided to follow Urahara's advice on the matter, and not having been pushed enough to go against it out of necessity.

It's not a matter of despair, but of risk.
Right now Karin is inexperienced, in Hakuda just Adept, so a good hit has a reasonable chance of taking her out and facing two Hollows of unknown strenght.
Rukia is useful support, if we can keep the Hollows away from her, but as far as I remember very squishy in melee at this time.

In short, I want to play our best card for defense and battlefield-control, even if it brings whatever "attention" Uruhara talked about.

To counter the thing is that we'll both have a time limit with shikai use do to inexperience and after we'll be zapped of energy when we're playing the waiting game while being Rukia's meat shield.

Unless we believe we can take out both hollows before we time our or that Ichigo will be able to take over we are trying to endure not finish the battle here

Since we're talking about risk, let's mention once again the large risk of Rukia actually breaking down and depriving us of her support, forcing us to defend her against two Hollows. It's not a certainty, but, well, we're talking about risks.

Hell, even if she doesn't break down, she'll most likely hesitate or get a flashback every time she sees us wave around the trident like Kaien did. That can be even more dangerous, because Karin won't be able to simply include Rukia's uselessness into her plans, since she'd switch between 'competent', 'trying but failing' and 'completely frozen'.

[X] No, keep your sword sealed.

Is it wierd that i want to impress Urahara? Canonically he plans evrything. And technically he "wins" the Aizen arc having correctly guessed the outcome of the Aizen/Ichigo fight and prepared the seal thing.

So uh i kind of want to follow his advice.

I feel I should mention that releasing Shikai isn't a trap vote, which some people seem to be interpreting it as. Both options are valid, they just have different impacts on the fight - of course there are 'better' options, but what' better' entails varies from person to person.

Hmm...

I have faith in Rukia not to utterly break down just because she sees her dead lieutenant's sword in the hands of another. She'll have questions, major ones... but honestly she already has those, and I actively want to see that kind of scene play out.

On the tactical level, yeah, two hollows at once is a serious threat for a baby shinigami. Better to overwhelm them as quickly as we can manage and then collapse than try fighting them with one hand tied behind our back due to nebulous fears based on a warning from someone who, quite frankly, is not even slightly trustworthy.

(Urahara is knowledgeable, and that is useful, but trusting him is a poor idea at best...)

--[x] Keep their attention on you. Use taunts and frequent enough attacks to keep them from being able to outright ignore you to go after Rukia instead.
--[x] Use terrain to your advantage. If Rukia can get to safe, high ground, that's where she should be. If you can use tight spaces to make it more difficult for the hollows to maneuver, do it.
--[x] With you holding them at bay, Rukia can focus one down at a time. Assist if you see an opening, but prioritize holding them off.
--[x] If you get openings for clean attacks, prioritize disabling their ability to attack from range and disabling their mobility.
--[x] If Ichigo makes it there before you two finish them off, get him to help Rukia focus them down one at a time. He's liable to charge in face first like an idiot, which may present extra openings to take advantage of.
---[x] Don't let him get smacked around just because he charges in face first. If there are still two up, make sure the one he isn't hitting doesn't take advantage. If there's just one, keep it from getting a clean hit on anyone.

[x] No, keep your sword sealed.

I'm more worried about our stamina then anything else...
